@HAPPY91, thanks. We’re starting a forecast week long heat wave here...six days well above 30 C which is pretty hot for Alberta. It was below zero five nights in a row just five weeks ago...

Man I can’t believe how much you are getting out of these autos outside! Most diaries I see guys finish out in about 12 - 14 weeks. How do yours flower for so long? Is it due to your extended light hours where you live? I’m thinking I may be almost opposite to you living closer to the equator, there is only about 4 hours difference between my summer and winter solstice. I don’t get frost, and in fact winter here is ideal conditions for finishing flowering, being cool and dry. The summer is the danger time for us with heat, rain and humidity which can ruin a grow in a heartbeat! I have a friend here on gd “Neroz”,, he lives way up north and grows some real thumpers too! Nice guy, funny as hell 😀 Some really great diaries you’ve got mate. There is a lot to learn from them. Cheers 🍻

@Shooey, thanks very much. Still learning as I go and yes our location has something to do with it. This year’s best outdoor winner lives in the same city as me at 53 N. We can get frost nights well into May and starting again in September but lots of sunlight hours near the solstice. Great for well timed autos, but not great for photoperiods unless they’re forced. We run out of good UV light (mid-Aug) before it gets too cold (early October) so I think my best option is fast flowering photos that I force in early July. Or autos started in mid-May to finish in August. Temp and humidity are normally in ideal range here over summer months. Pray for no hail storms storms, endure historic heat waves, but outdoor growing is great fun. 👍. Will do much better next year. Cheers. Also, cool nights slow the plant metabolism which stretches out the lifespan. I also usually top which extends veg cycle.
