From a pack of 3 seeds, only this one germinated and was having issues from day 1. Not sure what was going on, but I germinate them in the same way as the other ones. I have a germination heating pad, and I found that it's better to use cotton pads instead of paper towel, as they don't disintegrate in water. For some reason, this pack of seeds was disappointing. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.
Anyway, I'm not gonna use any nutrients for at least another week or so, just water.
Here we go again, another little plant starting to grow. This one had some issues when it started but it turned out nicely so far. I started feeding her today, after 16 days from sprouting. It will be repotted soon, maybe next week if it grows too big.
I have no idea why this one is growing so slow. I mean, she didn't have the same amount of light, since I only have one tent and the other plant grew into a monster so I had to make a new, smaller, makeshift grow space for this one. She is fighting for it, but from the very start the seedling looked kinda bad and crooked. Hopefully she will continue to grow when the other one is done and I make space again in the main tent.
She was going really slow, but It's my mistake mostly. She was kept in a smaller pot until I figured out a new, makeshift, grow space for her. As you could probably notice, my other tent was overgrown by Northern Lights Auto and she just didn't have space. Now, with a lamp of her own, and a bigger pot, she really started to grow. In a bigger pot she could get more nutrients as well as root space, so we can clearly see what that means for the plant. She was topped after 4th node, just like my other plant and I had nothing but success topping autos. I didn't start to train her yet, the nodes are too small for now.
She is growing steadily, so far so good. A bit slow, compared to my other one, this one is kind of slow. Had to remove the fan leaves, they were massive and there is no space in the closet for that. So she was cleaned and now LST.
So, this week in the country where we live, the temperatures were extremely high. I couldn't get the temperature below 30, no matter what I did. She got burned, I took off most of the burned leaves so it doesn't look too bad on the photos but I did show a few examples of how it looks. Growth is stunned a bit, again, for the second time this grow. First I thought that is something wrong the with nutrients, or PH, or something, but as the time goes on I'm pretty sure that it's the extreme temperatures that got her burned.
But she is still that little plant that could, if you check first 2 weeks, she was miserable.
What can I say, photos speak for themselves. The plant filled up the 3x3 again, from now on I expect a decent yield. She recovered nicely from the stress she had to endure - pot size/heat/high humidity/light change.
But here she is in all of her glory. Preflower is about to start and she gonna start stretching.
If you have any thoughts on the burned leaves, maybe I'm missing something, please let me know in the comments.
Looks like she is still growing and stretching, so I'm gonna keep her on VEG nutrients for another week. This is gonna be a long haul, day 56 and she is still not flowering properly, just the preflower hairs are visible for now.
On the bright side, she grew very big and I hope she gonna flower like crazy.
We had some issues along the way, but the plant seems to be recovering nicely and the burned leaves are now almost completely gone.
She is slowly starting to flower, so I made the switch today. Changed nutrients to bloom, and to push her further towards bloom, I also switched the light to 12/12. She is really big! And I mean big. Tall, wide, a million small branches. She can barely fit into the 3x3, I'm starting to panic because she is getting too close to the light. I need to defoliate every second day, and still every time I open its a jungle inside. I'm really starting to like this plant, she recovered from stress and now it's the biggest I ever had.
Every week I keep telling to myself that she stopped growing, the stretch is over and she wouldn't grow any taller. She is now 120cm tall, from the top of the pot. From the floor about 140cm. Needless to say, I am starting to get really worried about the height since my tent is only 160cm tall. Tallest bits are only 10 - 15 cm away from the lamp, I didn't notice any burn yet, but when the buds start to fatten up they might get burned.
Time for a new tent?
What do you guys think? Any tips?
Well, this is officially the biggest plant I've ever grown. There is nothing I can do at this stage, except wait for her to finish. Today is lollipop day, so later today I will post more photos after. The smell is getting stronger by the day, and I am starting to have humidity issues because there is just too much plant matter in such a small space. She can easily drink 4l of nutrients per day, which is twice as much as the last one. My last plant finished in 70 odd days, this one might be 90+ days.
Lets see what happens next :)
Day 84 is here, she is still not even close. The buds look a bit strange, kinda airy and elongated. There is a lot of buds all over, and they are slowly, very slowly, getting bigger. I feel like she won't be ready any time soon, maybe another 3 weeks, judging by the state of the buds. She is very close to the lamp, but it's not showing signs of burn, so that's good. Drinks a lot every day, so airflow is always maxed out to keep the humidity level low. If everything works out, harvest is gonna be glorious. Until next week
We are slowly reaching the end of this plant, about 90% of the trichomes are milky and no amber. I started giving her the last phase ripener from Advanced Nutrients called Overdrive.
I gotta admit, most of the buds gained considerable weight and bigger branches are tied. One of the main buds, the top of the branch, is completely ruined because it was too close to the light. On that bud there is almost no trichomes and will probably be discarded.
Other than that, she seems to be finishing up nicely, it will be fed for another 2 weeks for sure maybe more.
Stay tuned for the harvest.
Well, this is the last week of nutrients before flush. I'm very happy with the results, buds are really fat and dense. Some of them are starting to foxtail, but it won't go too far. I'm unsure of how exactly am I going to flush this, because of its size it's not really mobile. Next update with be the harvest.
We had to chop it down earlier than expected because the buds were so heavy that she couldn't be stable anymore. Every single branch was hanging to the floor, it was impossible to get her to stand straight. We flushed her with Flawless Finish for few days and we had to chop her down.
Absolute massive amount of buds to trim, I couldn't believe it. I'm still new to growing so it makes me really happy to see this result. 1320g of wet buds, at least 100g of wet trim.
