Sandero I decided to try a new germination technique this time. I planted my seeds directly into jiffy pellets that were soaked with water and Recharge. Ive never tried this method with cannabis, but I have had great success with the jiffy pellets, with fruits and vegetables. But as I am moving in a little over a month, I decided to take the worst looking seeds I had in my seed bank, and attempt to grow them. As i do not want to start up a huge grow again just to have to tear it down to move, I figured id do some experimentation!! Maybe some aggressive training techniques or something else Ive never tried. I will be running 4 different strains through this abuse, so please let me know if you have anything yall would want to see me try to do to hem in the first 6 weeks of veg of a cannabis plant! Not worried about if this run dies, I just want to learn more! Im trying to get crazy!! lol

Sandero So I decided to go ahead and try my luck at my first outdoor grow! I just dont have the room this year for an indoor grow... Ive grown vegetables outdoors but have never tried cannabis. Im very worried about pests and the sun being too bright and intense for my plants, so I bought a little 5x5 green house to put them in. It has an open face and with a couple fans im hoping I can keep it cool enough! If anyones got any outdoor growing advice for growing in the Southern heat of prohibition land!!
Sandero Unfortunately this week my seedlings were hit by a squirrel.... He didn't do a ton of damage, but managed to taste at least a couple bites of all my plants just to make sure he didnt like any of them... So I moved them inside, and but them under my HLG 65. I figured id let them grow up a little then move them back outside and put them in my green house.
Sandero I moved my seedlings back outside in a desperate attempt to dry out my soil. Plants seem to be responding well, but now I am battling temps that reach highs in the 100s. If anyone has any advice on growing cannabis in high outdoor temps, please let me know!

Sandero This week I transplanted into a 5 gal fabric pot and started some low stress training. She responded great to both, but has started to flower earlier than I thought she would!

Sandero Went ahead and moved her to one of my inside temps. There is just way to much humidity and heat outside right now to try to take it through flower outside. She is very small, overwatering for the first couple weeks probably didnt help it, but she is looking good anyways! Amazed by how fast she is going through flower!

Sandero She's really starting to lay on the trichomes, and the smell is amazing! surprised this little guy is putting off all the sweet fruity smell!
Sandero Shes really starting to fatten up now! Got a great sweet fruity smell that fills the whole room! Big punch for a tiny plant! Shes got probably about another 2-3 weeks left. But Ill just wait and let her decide! lol

Sandero All good this week! really starting to get THICK!! unfortunately i broke a piece of bud off the top main cola which sucks... wasn't much but it will hurt the "Photo quality"😂
@Ferenc, unfortunately I excepted defeat outside... lol But ive moved her inside now and shes doing great! she's definitely stunted, and I will be lucky to get a quarter out of her, but she if flower super fast and is still a joy to grow! got to love how much you can mess up on cannabis and still get a beautiful plant out of it!
Oh there is a strain called Sir Jack, so I bow in silence.... lol ! How wonderful ! As an advice, I would move them asap in a larger pot in order to ensure humidity level is not fluctuating a lot since in a small cup one can easily burn dry the roots. You miss a watering at plus 35 and its done in a couple of hours. Plus they look ready for transplant, they won't grow any bigger in there. And the green screen is a top ideea ! So I don't really understand your problem with the moisture...
@youngatheart, I appreciate the knowledge! With really high temps and constant 75+ RH, I’m having problems with over watering with the plants I moved into 5 gal fabric bags. I’ll water and wait a week or more and it my pots don’t feel any lighter! Those only have 20-25% perlite and 25% coco in them. Do you think I should increase the amount of perlite for these guy?
@Sandero, ok now I see. Fabric pots are excellent for zones or setups with low humidity (30 to max 40%), so in your case they work against you. The best thing you can do in my experience is use a air pot or a normal square one in which you can drill/make a bunch of small holes. And always (!) remember to lay on the bottom of the pot (whichever it is) 2 cm of perlite or stones in order to ensure the best drainage and gain substrate humidity control. Then you will not depend as much on atmospheric humidity do to the job. 👍 Thumbs up !!!
@youngatheart, well dang I didn’t think about the pot… they have always worked great for me! But I usually grow indoors… Im going to do some better research into pot and I’ll definitely start adding a layer of just perlite at the bottom. I appreciate you!!
