#2 started growing with the root completed exposed so I decided to replant her and she is ok but just behind the other two related to growth. #1 never germinated and was sent to cannaheaven.

I think Stephanie (the tiny one) is headed to cannaheaven. She is too shocked from the transplant to a new cup. 😞

3 plants now entering week 3. I germinated the remaining 5 seeds. 5 were planted into the seedling tray. 4 sprouted. I removed the 5th one whose tap root was barely showing, just like it was when it came out of the paper towel. I put it in a small bowl of water on the floor of the tent to maybe help soften it up. I hope to plant it later tonight (probably in the morning). I definitely OVERWATERED the plants when they were in their red cups. I DEFINITELY let the first seeds germinate too long. I am definitely going to need to learn patience.

I'm taking a break from recording and posting daily timelapses. Going for surgery in a few days. Will have help but not to document.

This was my first week post op so no fancy time lapse. I’ll like them so when I’m feeling better I’d like to restart them. To be honest I really don’t feed them anything. They’re in good soil, I look at their appearance. Feel the weight of the pot to see if they need water. And that’s kind of it. So far :)

I uploaded a bunch of photos from the week. I tried my hand at cloning. Took 12 cuttings from the 7 plants (2 plants only had 1 clone taken from each) on Sunday 8/1. I don’t think I’m gonna prune any of the plants until the end because I’m just don’t feel like it. It hurts a lot to tend to the plants and I don’t really want to put all the responsibility on my helper. I bought a second tent to work with the clones and to start veg on the new plants. I had to toss out two of the 12 cuttings because my process was screwed up and they were just toast before they really even made it into the rapid rooter. So now they’re only 10. I wonder if any of the cuttings will root? We will see…..

So… 12 cuttings, 2 are toast right off the bat. 3 have rooted, 1 of which was transplanted into 3 gal pot and the two 8 day clones will stay another day in the humidity dome in veg tent (now known as Planck). My flowering tent is called Einstein (don’t judge me!) 😂 I have the vs1000 at 25% in Veg tent and sf4000 at 100% in flowering tent. I decided that I want feminized seeds from one (2) of these ladies so I’m going to pick two clones, one to get hit with colloidal silver to make pollen sacks and the other to get pollinated. Since both clones are female they don’t have the Y chromosome so they can’t make male seeds (although you could have a herm I guess and not know it. Maybe? Dunno) When the colloidal silver disrupts the plants normal flowering process it makes the plant make pollen sacks but doesn’t change the DNA of the plant so you are only getting XX from the pollen. And the recipient plant is also XX so the resulting seeds are only female. If I’m wrong please correct me…anyone!! What if I pick two clones from same mother?! Hmmmm. Also got to be careful to not pollinate the 7 in the flowering tent (Einstein). Plastic bags over the plant? Separate tent enough? We will see… I’m naming the clones that root after famous female scientists I admire. The first one is Ada, after Ada Lovelace, who was an English mathematician and writer, chiefly known for her work on Charles Babbage's proposed mechanical general-purpose computer, the Analytical Engine. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ada_Lovelace) The other two get named when they are transplanted. For the 7 in the flowering tent it’s just hurry up and wait. Right?

Did a big defoliation on saturday. steady as she goes. Watered them today with nutrients for the first time in over a month. I watered the first two plants without correcting the mix after adding the nutrients. It turns out it was a ph of 5.23 so i just watered them a little extra with tap water which mine is around 6.7. One in the back left looks a little different color than the others. Ill have to keep an eye.

Yesterday I decided to do something about al the dead space in my tent. It's a 5x5x7 and I always felt that the top of the tent had so much unused real estate. So I decided to build a 24"4x4 table. I bought a new dehumidifier since my Friedrich is on the recall list. It's the Vremi 22 Pint 1,500 Sq. Ft. Dehumidifier. You can find it on Amazon.
