Day 1 of Veg!: Both plants have shed their seeds and are turning towards the light. I was a little concerned with how they looked at first, very white, but I didn’t notice they broke ground for about 24hrs and the lights were off. They’ve got lots of color now! Day 3:These 2 are coming along awesome! Almost have the blumat system perfectly, soil is staying perfectly moist and the girls are loving it. Added a air stone to the reservoir of the Blumat System to ad oxygen and move the water around. Day 5: Plants are doing great. Steady growth right now. Still adjusting the blumat watering system to get it just right, but I’m almost there! It’s getting a little hotter during the day. In the high 70’s, but I’m okay with that for now. Lights are now at 75% Day 7: So my other seed never germinated. Put a new one in paper towel to see if it will go. Only problem is it will be 2 weeks behind by the time it comes up. I was really hoping to get a flat canopy all the way across the room, but who knows, may still be possible! Plants are loving the Gaia Green Living Soil mix, and today I just moved the blumat sensors to get a bit closer to the rootball.

Day 9: Finally had the Blueberry Kush seed germinate and sprout a taproot. Planted it last night. May make another diary for it. As for the Green Crack plants, they’re doing amazing! Lights still at 50%, ~300w. Water is getting dialed in with the blumats and everything seems to be working in harmony. Day 11: The Blueberry Kush seed germinated! Stoked haha. The green crack plants are looking very healthy. No issues. Haven’t had to touch the blumats in 4 days now, I think I’ve got it perfect. Day 13: These girls are taking off! A couple more days and I’ll do the first topping. They will likely get topped 2-3 times, as I need the Blueberry to catch up so I can fill the canopy. Lights have been raised to 24” and everything else remains status quo.

Day 15 (July 1st) - Nothing to add besides the fact that I moved the light to 24” and turned the wattage to 60% on the lights. I’m trying to stretch them out a bit, we will see if it works. Figure a brighter light that’s a bit further away will cause them to reach for it. Day 16 - Topped! When one becomes two, and then two becomes four, and then four beco…. You get it. The girls are on their own for 2 days. Benefit of the blumats is I don’t have a worry in the world while I’m gone! Day 18 - Came back to two very healthy looking girls. These blumats are the s***! I tucked some leaves out of the way to get some exposure to the bud sites. Going to setup the trellis this week and start doing some LST. Day 21 - Today I used Soft Ties to start pulling everything away from the center in preparation for Scrog. I was going to top twice, but because I was able to tuck the large fan leaves early in the game, a lot of my secondary colas have come up to height. I have 8 branches right now and that’s more than sufficient for what I’m doing this run. PH was also high in my reservoir. Added more water with a low PH to try and bring it down a bit.

Day 23 (July 9th): I’ve been doing some LST for the last couple of days, trying to spread them out a bit in preparation for the trellis. I’m going to try and get that up today and give them two more weeks of veg. I wanted to flip them on week 4 but my third seed didn’t germinate and by the time one took it was 10 days behind. I’ll give it some time to catch up. Day 25: So the air stone in my reservoir didn’t cut it… took it out and added in a pump to circulate the water. PH is more stable at around 6.2. Ladies are doing great? So happy, so healthy. Day 27: They’re exploding… almost at the net! Day 28: It’s getting a bit humid in there. Around 65%, need to start getting that down in prep for flower. The plants don’t seem phased!

I’m about to setup my trellis and I’m indecisive on how high above the plants I should put it. I’ve done some research and I’ve seen all different heights. I’m thinking 16” from the soil. What are your thoughts? Cheers!

This can vary, I've done a net a few inches above the canopy of a plant like yours but found that a pain to water manually, for manually feeding I found about 12 inch from the top of the pot was about right. With an automatic watering system I would start a few inches above where your canopy is now. You can always lift the net if need be.

Day 29 (July 15th): Clipped off all of the suckers at the bottom for two reasons. 1. To give me easier access to the soil. 2. To allow for more aggressive growth. Day 30: Added a much needed oscillating fan to the room. Day 32: Today I added about 3 cups of wormcastings and 1/4 cup of gaia green all purpose 4-4-4. They got a top watering to soak it all in and some water in the bottom dish. I also turned the lights up about 10%. Likely pulling about ~400w from the wall. So close! Day 35: SO! Humidity problems… I’m doing everything I can. Bought a mini dehumidifier, didn’t work… opened all the windows and let fresh air run through the space the room is in, nope… so now I have to bring in the big guns. Full size dehumidifier it is. Girls will go into flower next week!

Day 36 (July 22nd): Leaving these girls by themselves for a few days. Thank god for blumats! Day 40: Having some MAJOR humidity and temperature issues right now. Trying everything I can but nothing seems to work… I put a dehumidifier in and the temp hits 90+, I take it out and put an AC unit in, I hit 80% humidity. Super torn on what to do, pulling my hair out over here. Summer growing is no fun… haha

Day 43 (July 29): Day 1 of flower! I’ve sorted all my previous issues out and I am excited about these plants again. Adding a bit of Florabloom to the reservoir to increase the phosphorous intake. Now… to attempt a Scrog… haha Day 44: The canopy is a bit limey in color right now because I’ve made some very amateur mistakes over the last week or so. I have dialed my blumats incorrectly twice, flooding the pots. I left my lights on 100% for two days when I went out of town (hence why they are so bright green. And then left my lights at 25% last night… all you can do is learn and try not to do it again. They’re hardy. They’ll rebound. Day 45: Everything seems to be going smooth! Humidity is way down, temps are perfect. Still some yellow tips, but I’m not too concerned right now. I added a bit more P to the reservoir to try and give it a little boost during transition to flower. Day 47: Great start to the flowering cycle. They haven’t started to stretch quite yet, but I’m anticipating that it’s going to happen in the next week or two. For now we just keep tucking and tucking. Day 49: And that’s all for week 1, folks!

Day 50 (August 5th): still just tucking branches. Hoping I get a good stretch here soon so I can fill this net up, defoliate and let her go! Day 52: the two plants look quite different in color. I think it’s the watering that’s causing this. I’m having trouble with a couple of the drippers on the right plant. We’ll get it sorted out. Day 53: when I switch the soil moisture meter back and forth, you can feel how dense this root system is! Definitely using 10 gallon pots next grow. Day 55: Did the last of the LST tonight. Time to let them be and get thick! Haha

I have two of the same strain growing, yet the color on the two plants are completely different. Any ideas what’s causing this? They both look healthy.

Day 57 (August 12th): Done messing around with the plant. She’s been tucked and twisted every way to try and get the most light on the bud sites. I lowered the light and turned the wattage down a bit to try and keep it slightly cooler in the room. Seems to be working. We’re getting a heat blast where I live right now, so it’s getting tough to control temps again. Day 60: added a couple fans in to move a bit more air. They’re starting to stretch! Day 63: Tomorrow will be their last feed. I’m switching from blumats to watering from a can. I need to flush out the nutrients from the soil and the setup I have now leaves dry pockets. Now is not the time to try and sort this out. Oh well!

Day 64 (August 19): so the blumats are gone now. I found they didn’t work great with too dressing because the majority of the top dressing doesn’t get soaked. So I’m watering from a can now. Added worm Castings and Power Bloom 2-8-4 for their last feeding! Day 66: By using the AC unit, I’ve been able to get the temps down to exactly where I want them. Sitting at about 76 degrees and 50% humidity. Things are getting FROSTY Day 67: temps are good, humidity is good. These ladies are thriving. They got a good soak today with PH’d water. Should last them a couple days. Day 69: Brought the lights down to 18”. Really trying to maximize the light output on these girls. They’re getting frosty 👊🏼

Day 71 (August 26th): Watered the ladies again today, everything is still looking great. Pheno 1 is starting to get yellow leaves, still diagnosing the issue. Day 73: The soil is drying out super fast. The roots are coming up through the soil now. These girls are root bound for sure. Next grow will be 20 gallon pots for sure. Day 74: I’ve got a nitrogen deficiency on one of my phenos. Added a bit more Power Bloom 2-8-4. It’s a bit too early for these girls to be starving for nitrogen. A couple more weeks and I’ll let it fly. Day 77: That’s a wrap on week 5 of flower. 3-4 weeks until harvest!

I’m growing with super soil and amendments for this grow. Looking for the Autumn Color Effect. I understand that you need a nitrogen deficiency to get this, and if timed right it shouldn’t affect my yield. I’m on the 5th week and one of my phenos is pretty yellow. Is this okay?

The purple fade is from phosphorus deficiency and cooler night temps. You are a little early there for a fade. Look like you have magnesium deficiency

Day 78 (September 2): Still just regular waterings with 25ml per 10L of FloraBloom to try and help with the Potassium Deficiency. Day 81: Another feeding again today. Everything is looking very healthy. Some yellowing from the nitrogen cut off but I expected that. Day 83: Another watering. These girls are drinking heavy right now! Looking fantastic.

Day 85 (September 9th): Today is day 43 of flower and things are shaping up nicely. Colas are fattening up. It looks like the yields aren’t going to be super high, but the bud should be premium. Couple more weeks! Day 88: Girls are getting thicker every day. Colas are filling out nicely. Water tomorrow, no nutrients. All waterings from here on will be just plain water Day 91: Gave the girls some humid acid today to use up the last of the nutrients in the soil. 1/2tsp per liter was my mix rate.

Day 92 (September 16th): so I’ve realized a PH issue in the soil… unfortunately it’s too late to make a drastic change, but I’ve lowered the PH in my water to try and level her out until harvest. This would explain my multitude of deficiencies I’ve been having. Still not sure how to better manage soil PH but you can be damn sure I’ll do my research so it won’t happen again. Soil is hard haha. Day 94: starting to see more and more amber trichomes. This will likely be my last week of flower. Should be ready around day 100. Let’s see what happens! Day 97: So I’m starting to think I was wrong… these may have more time than I thought still. I’m definitely okay with that. Hopefully they continue to produce and thicken up.

The Grow: What can I say, this strain had its highs and it’s lows for sure. A few deficiencies that came out of nowhere, but overall Green Crack was pretty easy going! The Yeild: This was the biggest downfall for me. They never really stretched. I had thought I made solid use of the SCROG technique but after flipping they only stretched a foot or so. The Finished Product: Slightly less dense than I was hoping for, but I had a mild hiccup during the drying process where my room shot up to 95 degrees for a couple hours. Besides that, these buds are covered in trichomes. Sticky buds that grind to a neon green color, it’s quite beautiful. A lot of smaller buds, which I was hoping to avoid, but like I said, the stretch never happened and growth seemed stunted. I did however manage to get some beautiful monster colas. The Smoke: Here’s where things get a better. The initial smells is something I’ve never experienced. Very pungent with a strong fruity/diesel with a hint of Mr.Clean 😂 the inhale is fruity and smooth, while the exhale is gaseous and light. The High: This is where Green Crack aka Cush shines! Out of the gate you are hit in the face with a crazy uplifting head high that brightens your surroundings and energized your mood. Following that is a quick lull in the high followed by an absolute rollercoaster ride 😆 this will take you on a journey through valleys and peaks, hitting you with different levels of relief and excitement, leaving you wanting more. Hence Snoop Dogg dubbing this OG strain as Green CRACK! Thank you GrowDiaries for giving me a platform to share my journey! Stay lifted, Growmies! 🔥🌱
