82 days since going into the soil
The super rainy week we had back in week #9 really hurt these OGK (even more than my Amnesia Haze). None of the flowers have really grown at all since then. Lots of small patches are visible where the rot was. In fact, I chose to chop down one of my two because its flowers were essentially disappearing (deflating). I wanted to use it as my experiment to see how drying it suspended from some twine between rafters in my shed would work (I would have preferred to do this inside, but I lost that battle).
After about 7 days the stems gave a nice snap when bending them.
It kind of seems silly to even save it, but since I'll be using all of this for some tincture or edible, it must have some value...
I don't have a scale yet so I will circle back on what this 1st plant yielded in a week or so.
Also getting some yellowing leaves.
I stopped adding any nutrients a week ago. I ordered a little hand held microscope (60x) from Amazon and once or twice a week I snip a little frosty section to examine the trichomes. Maybe another week to go?
Hey there, Thanks so much for running a diary of our genetics 🙌 Let us know if you need any assistance, we’re more than happy to help. Happy Growing !!! 🌱☘️🌴🍀🌿🌳
@Fast_Buds, thank you very much for your offer! This is my 1st time growing and I think I dodged a proverbial bullet here. The weather turned cold and rainy right after popping these in the ground, but it looks like they ALL may make it!
Congrats and too bad about the rain. I realized this year that rain can actually knock trichomes off the plant so rain during late stage flowering is bad not just because of the risk of mould. That’s an advantage of growing in bags because you can move them out of the rain (or into the sunlight) when needed. Better luck next year. Cheers.
