Not a lot to allow as she is only 4 days old, popped on June 13 after 5 days in the coco loco.
Check back next week and hopefully we have some more action to report.
Not a lot to allow yet, but runtz has been joined by strawberry banana2 and strawberry pie.
They are 4 days old to runtz’ 7 days but I will record them all together, based off runtz timeline.
Everyone has received a watering with recharge and will get another shot of recharge midweek.
Another week in the books.
Not a lot to allow as we are still wary in the grow.
One thing to note, I culled strawberry banana 2.
It had stopped growing out and upwards, no sign of developing nodes/etc.
there is still forbidden runtz and strawberry pie tho and they are looking alright!
They got their first real feed today, .25tsp/gal of recharge and megacrop.
Next week we will bump the feed up to .5-.75 tsp/gal.
Edit- started training forbidden runtz today, day 14
We’ve hit the end of week 3(day 21) and wow what a great week of growth out of Forbidden Runtz.
She has taken to the training and today, day 21, she got a trim and was put under a small grill thingy for some time under a small screen before she goes under the big screen.
Feeds are the weekly recharge soak, and daily feeds with megacrop and the occasional shot of Epsom salt.
I’m still messing with and learning distances for a new Mars fc4800 light bar set, right now forbidden runtz is 40” under the light which is set up at 85% power.
Everything is looking healthy, the lil blemishes are from rough handling and some stress from all that.
Super super super pleased thus far with this plant!
Strawberry pie is also doing well, she’s just now hit day 17-17 and is quite a bit farther behind as far as development but very green and healthy.
A fantastic natural structure for an indica, like an indica xmas tree.
This was an excellent week for both plants!
Well, lemme back it up just a bit…
I accidentally tore straw pies head right off trying to train her lol.
I murdered the main.
She’s recovered and is beefing up but it was not planned and I hate that it happened lol.
Okay back to the rest of the update.
This is anecdotal but I’ve started using fishsh!t from fish head farms and holy crapola.
The plants are luving it, like they’re visibly reacting to the feeds and it’s been awesome.
Forbidden runtz is my bae, she’s taken to the big screen and we have some excellent main-type branches to work with.
Very pleased with these gals!
Both are spitting pistils and I think they’re starting to stretch a bit so hopefully we have beautiful budsites shortly!!
This was another fantabulous week of growth for both plants.
I have fully switched the nutes from megacrop and recharge over to goldleaf and fishsh!t with an occasional recharge boost.
Both plants are hearty and thicc.
Runtz is a burlier, wider plant but this strawberry pie is plump!
Not much else to allow, catch ya next week!
Week 6 is in the books and it was another great one.
Both plants are finishing stretch and building budlets.
Still super green and healthy tho there are a few signs of some heat stress.
Nothing worrying at all yet, after the heat that everyone really has been dealing with it’s not surprising to see a few leaves a bit roughed up.
I went out of town for a few days and while I did have someone able to cover most of the feed/waterings the gals did go a day and a half without any.
No biggie tho, they’re shrugging it off and just rocking along!
Beefy burly plants here, and I’m guessing anywhere from 4-6 weeks to the finish line.
Another good week in the book.
Basically on autopilot at this point in the grow.
They’re big, burly, and healthy as horses.
I have noticed a bit of tip burn on runtz so I am dialing back the goldleaf now.
I think they’re 3-4 weeks from done.
Another easy peasy week on autopilot.
They’re both still mostly thriving tho we’ve def got end of life signs of stress and the fade.
I’ll go in to detail once the grows finished but I think I’ve narrowed down the source of the issues.
Still, these 2 plants are beautiful and beastly.
My guess as far as yield is at least a half pound between the 2 gals.
I’ll take that all day from some 12-13 week growers!
Strawberry Pie is still going strong on day 70.
I’m gonna try and be patient and let her get 60-70% amber before I chop but really she could come down at any point now and I’d be more than happy.
Every bud you see in any of the pics are chonky boulders. Just thicc with no hive when you squeeze them.
I’m going to go on record saying this next bit….
This is easily top 5 plants I’ve grown out, and if it ends up as heavy and dank as I think it is it’s gonna be pushing up on the number 1 spot.
I recently grew out a mimosa cake and I luv it. I mean luuuuuv it but holy cow this straw pie is everything I enjoy in a weed plant.
Smells sweet, thicc, still healthy lol.
Straw pie is my bae!
Fast grower, with a great structure that responded really well to the scrog screen and bends and such.
I have been battling high heat in my grow space and tents and it finally started showing on runtz but she still turned out.
The geo pot is fantastic tho I do wish there some grommets on it for us trainers.
All in all a great grower and another winner I’d say!
Final weight is in and this heffer weighs 258 grams dried lol.
Damn.
Easy peasy week, we are on autopilot for the final week here.
Straw pie goes into the dark Wednesday evening and will get the chop Friday evening.
Can’t wait!
Fantastic grower and hardy af!
Accidents topping, 3+ weeks of 90 degree temps in the grow space and tents.
Didn’t even phase this plant.
I’ve already grown and chopped a 2nd straw pie lol, it’s still hanging.
Would abso recommend this strain to anyone, new or experienced.
