The Purple Punch and Watermlon had a successful germination. Both are 100% so 2/2. Seeds were placed in glass of warm water for 24h and than further on germinated with the paper towel method.
I find this to be the best method for germinating seeds. If the seeds germinate and the rate of germination is around 95%, the breeder did his job. From now on it's up to us to keep them alive 😁
The seeds were placed directly into the soil after germination, the soil was moistened and a plastic cup was placed upon them, to maintain a high % of humidity, so the soil does not not run dry to quickly. The box temp. is at 24⁰C(75⁰F) and the humidity is at 75%RH.
So, the environment is perfectly dialed in for the last step for the seeds to sprout fully out of the soil.
Let's hope all pop up and we can start this run👏🏻 See you soon.
Okay, here we are again. First week of the veg. stage is over and the girls are doing great. No problems whatsoever. So, I'm very pleased with this week.
The Watermelon 🍉 is a bit shorter, than the Purple Punch🍇👊🏻, basically both Watermelons are shorter than the other two girls. I don't know why, but they'll catch up.
The difference is about 0.5cm(0.20") which is 0 to nothing, but still. Maybe just a note for future reference to look back and recall this data.
Other than that, I have really no other issues. I was afraid because of the heat, but the tent is in a corner away from the window, so it doesn't get direct sunlight and I'm running a LED which currently saving my ass.🔥 No heat issues, no need for extra ventilation, I just open the tent a few times a day to let fresh air in and that's it. 😁💡☀️ Saves me money 💶💶
They did get the first feed this week and they took it well. I fed them:
-B.A.C. Organic Grow
with the addition of
-APTUS Startbooster and
-APTUS Regulator. 💦
I used a plain simple cup to water them by hand at the stem, so they don't get wet or brake because you "dump" water on them.
The air humidity is around 65-70%RH and is easy to maintain because.... You guessed it, no HEAT issues. Sorry for stressing this, but I currently live in the 8th circle of Hell. So, you get my picture if you read Divine Poem from Dante. I would prefer the 9th, but you can't always get what you wish for. 🔥😅
So, in conclusion, this was a good first week. A good start into the race, let's hope for even a better finish. 🏁
See ya next week growmies 🔥
Well, the automatic grow is doing just fine. 😁☀️
The girls did get their 2nd feed this week and they took the 600PPM like real champs. 💪🏻
I've noticed some pH problems from last week's feeding when the pH was off but nothing that can't be corrected 🙏🏻🤷🏻 This weeks pH was 6.2 and the water I used for the feed was distilled water. 💧
I can't believe what a difference it made in just 4 days. They started to grow more vigorously and greener. 💚
The temperature isn't causing any problems and it got a few C⁰ cooler, so I got this thing going for me currently. 🌡️
The difference between last week and this week is like night and day. As you can surely see 💪🏻😁 But, I still need a little correction on one plant that was affected from the pH fluctuation.
So, I will make a foliar feed with Green Explosion from Top Crop later on this week. 48h difference?😨 We'll see. That's what they claim. But non than less, some algee and some vitamins with humic and fulvic acid does not hurt. 🙏💦
Still figuring out if I should use a net or not for support. But than again, will I need it❓
Stay tuned for next week 💚
Welcome back growmies 😁
This week was fantastic, as you can see, the blew up in this week. I got some new nutes that are insanely costly, like 4x 250ml and 0.5kg of dry amendment is like 210€💶💶 Glucogarden, high concentrated fertilizers. The recommended dosage is about 1.5ml per 10L of water 😅
But, they deliver what they promise. The results were visible only after 12 hours and from that point on, they just grew. 🌱
The next step here, will be probably be LST on the autoflowers. They are big enough after 3 weeks to take some LST and some leaf removal. I want to open up potential bud sites. More light baby 😎☀️ Want as much coverage as I can get in this tent ⛺🌱
Summary? I'm quite happy woth this week. The fertilizers work, there is no problem or deficiency with the plants. They are in good shape and ready to grow on. Will definitely apply some Green Explosion from TOP CROP after LST, so they can regenerate quicker so I only lose a day or 2 because of stress and not a full week 💪🏻😁
They started to smell, so I don't have much time left before I can't train them without giving them a "hard" time. So, 3 weeks tops before they start to bloom 🏵️ But, this is plenty of time to tie down and open them up😁
See you next week 😎
FLOWERING TIME 😁
The autoflowers started to flower at about 3.5weeks. Yeey.
The plants🌱:
All of the 4 plants are doing great. They are budding up quite nicely and I don't see any signs they would lack something. I did tie them down a bit and removed a few leafs that were too big. They got more space now and I hope more space for buds 😁
I did add another light into the tent, a blurple LED. A Kosheal. A 200W LED light with old tech. but it works and adds that little kick I need in the coverage of the tent despite being a 80x80cm.
I also have some 7 auto flowers outside in the green house but non of them comes even close at that time to those in the tent. They are also flowering but will definitely need more time than those in the tent.
Problems😒:
Bugs and bugs. Bugs everywhere. Found some Aphids on the leafs. Picked them down and sprayed the plants with a home made insecticide that works wonders. Hope you suck on it and die Aphid. Bon appetit 😁
See you next week 😁 Hopefully with some small buds😅🌱
Week 5 is over and the second flowering week.
The girls are doing great and I have no issues with them. I water them 2 times a week and they're loving it.
Each girl has about 7-12 bud sites that started to stack nicely without any issues.
I really don't know what else to write because those are the first plants without any problems 😅😁 I'll let the pictures to tell you what I mean ❤️
hi. they are looking happy.
i have a question. how low do you keep your light and on what % strength or watt?
i have the same light and its freaking strong. its on 50cm on 90W now. i did a test with wat meter and max is 128w.
if i lower it down plant is stunned. but i have old 4 year old seed that is why its not so strong i think
just curious.
good luck
