July 20: three Smoothies started at the same time have wildly different growth. The small one I likely botched the transplant, but the other two are quite different. For these ones it might be how hot the roots got during the heat wave in early July.
Oh and it’s still cool and smokey after the heat wave in late June - early July which came after the five days near zero C in mid-May. Outdoor growing in Alberta has its challenges.
I noticed you're using a banana peel tea...my grandmother had just sent me a video on making this..i had never heard of it before a few weeks ago but it makes perfect sense as a bloom supplement...good luck, following! 🐱❤️💡🌱
@Kitties_and_Colas, the organic nutrients are working great. Banana peel tea was my addition to FFJ (fermented fruit juice) which is from Korean Natural Farming. Apparently most of the K (and P) is in the peel. Just a jar filled with enough water to submerge the peels and kept in the fridge for about a week as you eat the bananas. Seems to run about 1200 ppm TDS and is usually used at 1:10 dilution in watering, but I mainly use it as part of the KNF foliar spray. Buds are great this year so it seems to be working. 😎
