Week one for me is a slower week of just making sure the environment is perfect in the veg tent, mixing my medium, and just waiting for my beans to pop.
So my first week went good 5 of my 6 seed popped out of their pots and are looking healthy. So far I have only added clonex mycorrhizae root maximizer to the medium as I put my seed in and watered with some rain water I've been collecting at a pH of 6.5. I placed them inside my sunblaster dome for a higher humidity and temp to help promote the seeds to germinate the first seed to come out was the big bomb followed but quebec gold and fruity pebbles then sapphire og then last came the blue gelato 41 and unfortunately the dos si dos 33 didn't turn out. I have grown the dos si dos before and was disappointed when it didn't pop but I have one last seed for that strain I'm going to try and get to germ and hopefully catch right up with the others. As week two come rolling along I have added abit more mycorrhizae to the top of the medium to slowly release as I continue to use just water for now as I am going to try a gaia green slow release nutrients for thease plants just waiting on a back order so I can get my medium ready for transplanting. I have also moved them under a cheap 600 watt led light from the t5 light I had over my dome. I will continue to watch for vegetation as I do intend on topping and training thease plants
So in week two I took my little seedlings out of the little pots they were in and transfered them to their new home for the next weeks to come. I went with a square 1 gal pot, still using sunshine mix 4 for my medium(my medium mix is 2gal of peat 1 gal of perlite), I added in a fair amount of gaia green worm castings into my medium (1.5gal added to 4gal)with 3tsp per gal of gaia green all purpose 4-4-4. As the days progress I will be watching growth and determining when to top each plant. As you can see in the picture some strains are growing a hair faster than others but not a big deal at all as I plan on veging all of them for quite a while...until next week keep on growing folks
Week 3 was pretty uneventful, just watered my plants with some rain water at a pH of 6.5. They are starting to come along nicely. I havnt topped any of them yet but will be topping them next week (ps this is a late week review next on in 3 days) other than that didn't really need to do a whole lot to keep them happy at this point
Sorry for the late up date guys works been crazy and havnt found the time to squeeze in updates on the grow but I'm back at it today. So I have topped all plants and all but one took the topping well. The big bomb only grew out one loction after topping so I'm going to focus that plant towards low stress training, but otherwise everything is looking good and growing strong I'm have switched from rain water to R.O water as it's been a dry summer. I won't be feeding the plants until they are ready to be transplanted into their next pots which is still a couple week out yet.
So it was an interesting week... I had a problem with spider mites, seems that alot of spider mite going around in my area right now, but onward I go. My veg tent has multiple cutting from some other strains I stared months ago and seemed thats where most of them made their home. I took everything out of my tent washed it out completely, sprayed every plant with some insecticidal saop as they are all quite small still I feel confident that I can take care of these with a couple treatments of that, also my local hydro store gave me some acid to try (never tried before but he recommended it) might try that if they don't subside after the insecticidal soap. Otherwise the plants them selves look great and are growing quite well still just watering with R.O water at 6.5-7.0 I'm thinking about transplanting to a larger pot soon amending the soil with fresh nutrients till next week keep growing
Hey guys it's been awhile since I've had a chance to update my diary but things are going great. It's more like week 8 of veg now. I have transplanted into 5 gal pots with fresh worm castings and gaia green 4-4-4. I havnt started my low stress training yet but will be very shortly to get the plants to start bushing out more but so far I'm liking the growth and can't wait to see how thease plants end up
Very nice genetics. I will follow this grow and keep any eye on the progress. I have only heard good things about Barney's Farm seeds and Humbolt seeds. Good luck with the grow.
