The 2 gelato's were clones I took from a plant that was 21 days into flower. (Monster cropped). The mother was a seed from crop seed kings. They are bushy as F. With lots of bud sites. One downside of monster cropping is that the stems are weak and can't hold alot of weight. First time doing monster crop. Wish I started the journal weeks ago.
Looking good so far, a bit of nute burn so I flushed with ph balanced water. Been watering every 3 days. Using a foliar spray of horsetail tea for the first time and it works great.
Grow is looking good. I gave the ladies a haircut this week to get more airflow. Lolipopped the lower 3rd of plants. Humidity in Ontario has been 90% everyday. I've been able to keep the grow between 60 - 70% Humidity. Week 5 is when things get a little harder in my experience. The plants don't rebound from stress and mistakes as well as veg or early flower. I'm happy with the grow so far and the buds smell wonderful. Getting frosty as well.
Went into panic mode this week. Some pollen got in the tent. I checked every plant up and down for hermie traits and nothing. My last grow had hermies and there must have been some pollen still laying around somewhere, even though I cleaned the crap out of everything. 3 plants closest to the door took the worst of it. May have slowed their growth a bit. Maybe about 20- 30 seeds on each of the 3 plants. I think I contained the issue. Not seeing many new seeds pop up.
Other than that, the plants look great and smell great too.
Feeding schedule is typically feed, feed, flush each week. The feed at about 700ppm.
The gelatos are big yeilders, I knew this from my last grow, but man are they bushy. Sluricane looks like it could be finished early. The imperium x and sleepy joe were the ones that got pollinated mostly at the bottom. Hopefully the worst is over.
Starting week 7. Looking good. It stinks right through the tent now. Even with 2 carbon filters. It's a good smell.
I'm gradually raising ph to 6.2. Very selective and light defoliation. Added a bit of grow formula for the 2 sleepy joe plants. The leaves are going yellow a bit. Buds are fattening up. 2 weeks for some of them to harvest I predict. Imperium x may need 3 weeks.
Thanks for all the support and help. This community rocks.
Start of week 8. Looks good. No big issues to report so that's good. Dropping feed to 350ppm. Using dry koolbloom for ripening and I plan to start flushing mid week.
The gelato is having a hard time standing up. I've tied up branches everywhere. I took clones from plants that were in 3 weeks of flower for those 2 plants. (Monstercropping). It does work where there are way more stems and budsites. The downside is most stems are weak and cannot support alot of weight. It was a good experiment though.
Thanks to the community for all the likes and support. Looking to harvest most plants in the next 2 weeks. Tricomes are filling up and beginning to turn cloudy on at least half the plants.
Good day all, and happy growing!!!
Looking good. Smell is very strong. I'm watering with plain ph adjusted water at 6.1. Should be harvesting most of these by next weekend. Tricomes are cloudy on most plants. Some amber. The 2 imperium x's may need another week.
It's hard to tell in the photos but some leaves are turning purple. Some nice colors coming out.
Thanks for the support and likes.
Happy growing everyone
I found it a fun strain to grow. Very bushy plant with high yeilds. Very potent strain. Was a nightmare to trim though. Hahaha. I would recommend this particular strain to others.
This strain was good to grow, not many issues at all. Would grow it again. Super easy to trim. Very potent. After the stretch it's all buds, not too much foliage, so best to not defoliate too much.
UPDATE: So now it's had a chance to cure a bit more I gotta say I really love this one. The buds are really dense, although it doesn't look like it from the pics. Very strong. Looks fantastic up close. I'm still working on trying to take better pics. I'm growing this again for sure.
This is a good strain. Very potent and tastes good. Not my favorite, but that's just preference. I would recommend this one.
I grew 3 different Anesia strains for the first time and I have to say I'm impressed. Good stuff.
Kickass strain. This strain was the easiest to grow and the most resistant to pests and disease. I had a few cold nights and some flowers began Turing purple. It has the ability to change colors if you can control temperatures well. Good to grow through fall or winter.
Great smell and taste. Has a lingering kushy smell. Good stuff.
