First non-auto grow! Germinated no issue in a little over 24 hours. 5 days in and it's looking fantastic with bright green leaves! Have been keeping RH around 65-68 degrees and lowered my grow light to about 20 inches above it.
Week 2 - transplanted into 5 gal pot as it was beginning to get rootbound. After a couple of days it sprang right back to looking nice and healthy. Seems to enjoy it's much more spacious new home! Has not needed much watering as humidity has been kept at a constant 65%. Looking forward to the coming weeks!
Topped her on Sunday and she didn't miss a beat! Looking uber-healthy and bushy. Going to begin flattening her out a bit this week with some tie downs and get that undergrowth some light! 😁
My GOODNESS she has gotten very aromatic! This surprised me as we're only in week 4 but the scent is incredibly strong. Performed some light defoliation and topped her once more, after seeing how well she took it the first time. Goes without saying but wow, what an incredibly bushy plant haha. Impossible to see but have her tied down in a few spots thinking that the star LST method might be best here. We'll see how it goes!
This squat, bushy plant is finally getting some clearance from the soil haha! Only a couple inches since last week, but some vertical growth is nice to see nonetheless. May do some additional defoliation next week as there's just soooo many leaves - but no rot to be found and she seems healthy enough so far! 😃
Should I continue defoliating and removing leaves to increase light penetration on this one? She's incredibly bushy and just exploding with leaves. I trimmed 7-8 larger, lower leaves last week and am hesitant to do more until at least next week. Idk, what do you all think?
You are at week 5— flipping at 6? Or 7/8? Defoliate 1-2 weeks prior to the flip taking off large lower fans and sucker branches. Or just start slow and clean up the bottom and two large fans—- either way, you are fine! She will grow into it during the stretch! ✌️🏻💚🌿💨
Wedding Cake has a friend now! Moved my Orange Cookies x Nicole plant from my garage tent into this one as they're close enough in size and figured I'd let them flower together. Planning on switching to 12hr lighting starting week 8 as long as plants continue to look good. Bit late on this entry, as these plants are nearly in week 7, so expect an early entry next week!
They're getting close! I think I will do 1 more full week of veg before flipping. Tent is pretty tall so no worries about running out of vertical space.
Cleaned up the undercarriage on the girls as I'll be sending them into flower probably this weekend if all seems well! Send 'em your positive vibes and let's wish them some sweet growth!!
Made the flip Saturday night to 12-12 lighting! Probably can't tell from the pictures but both plants have the tiniest little pistils showing. I'll make sure to upload some close-ups later today to show them better. Looking good for this 1st week of flowering 😄
Sorry for the late update this week! Was out of town for a bit. Didn't seem to hurt the ladies one bit - they're looking fine as ever. Orange Cookies (left) is absolutely EXPLODING both vertically and horizontally, and seems to be on a mission to take over the tent lol. Been trying to keep her down with the netting as best I can, but every day it seems to grow a couple inches!
Managed to get Orange Cookies a bit more under control with the ScrOG. Noticed that Wedding Cake was a bit shorter on one side due to it not recieving as much light, so she's been rotated 180 degrees to fix this. Overall they're both look super strong and healthy!
Maaaaajor defoliation done on Sunday. Plants took it like a champ and remained nice and perky throughout! 😍 Couldn't be happier with where they are right now. Will probably give them a couple weeks to continue bud growth before checking trichome levels.
Photos were taken Wednesday 10/6. Girls still holding up strong! Wedding Cake on the short and stout side, but that's just fine as she looks like she'll be in bloom for quite awhile compared to Cookies. Curious how they're going to look in a week or two to see how things are going - but looks like they're on track to fatten up nicely!
Bit of a late update, sorry! But WOW are we getting some color on Cookies or what??? Leaves are yellowing nicely on her, and it's certainly looking like her bloom period will be shorter than Wedding Cake. Expecting some deep purple colors on that one. Giving maybe another half week for both, then will begin inspecting trichomes daily!
Here we are, week 15! Trichomes are still mostly clear in Cookies, [see picture 1] as well as Wedding Cake [picture 2]. Looking like at least another week before these girls are ready! Hey I'm not complaining - looking foward to them bulking up further!! 😁
Ladies are staying the course and neither is ready at this time for harvest! Certainly defied my expectations there, but again this is my first non-auto grow so I'm used to the quicker girls. Keeping a keen eye on em though as they should be there soon! Happy Halloween all!! 👻
