Frisian Duck aka Ducksfoot Outdoor grow

Going to do an outside grow with this one. I did a Frisian Dew grow a few years back so very interested to try this one out, hoping to eventually make oil from it.

Starting to grow its sun leaves now. Unfortunately quite a lot of stretching on the stem and some weakness, I found lightly pushing the plant backwards and forwards each morning helps its stem get stronger. I am going to grow these out for another week or two then plant them outside.

Was a bit worried by some stunted growth and they did get partly eaten by a bug so I cleaned off the leaves and stopped watering them for a while and they bounced right back into growing. Only giving them a light feed at this stage and hoping to plant outside at week 5 or 6. Starting to notice the classic duck foot leaves now also.

I was a bit concerned by their slowdown after a bug attack but they have sprung to life this week with huge suns leaves and a tasty citrus smell filling the room. It does seem the moths love to attack this plant even though I have my liberty haze right next to it - it's completely untouched! If I was a moth I'd probably also eat this plant as well, it just smells so nice.

Growing strong now, I will give it one more week inside then I think it will be time to plant outside. ...found an old abandoned house, perfect place for a gorilla grow ;)

Believe it or not I do still intend to plant these outside, I just wanted a bit more leaves and greenery before releasing them in the great outdoors but now after 6 weeks I think they are ready to go on their own, but I will mis seeing them every day :(

Been away for a while with these, they are currently on an abandoned property next to some woodland in the next town over. I don't want to make it too obvious so I keep my visits to the garden few and far between but I was happy to see that today they are flowering and they are even showing hints of purple in the buds which is exactly what I wanted to see from them. Really happy with this strain, it's so forgiving and seems to grow with very little help outside on its own.

Seems to be growing just fine. The smell is a bit unusual as it's not quite the traditional dope smell more a sweet citrus flowery smell with a faint whiff of onions. No one seems to have discovered it yet, not eaten by bugs and no signs of any rot so all looks well.

Despite being into October the plant is having a grow spurt and has made a lot of progress in the last two weeks. Unfortunately the buds themselves look tiny and don't seem to be growing any further, but enjoying the vivid purple it's bringing out. I am going to give the one on the right a final week then I think I will harvest before it gets too cold and kills the plant, the one to the left I am going to risk and keep growing for another two weeks and see what I get.

Harvest time. The temperature has really dropped and I have weeks of wet weather ahead so I don't want to risk any mould or rot forming. Both plants were covered in snails munching down on the sun leaves but the buds and sugar leaves were completely untouched so not bad natural defenses. I cut both plants, one smelt the typical dank smell but the other was more citrus smelling, both scents got very strong after two days of drying. I did a sample smoke at this early stage and it was surprisingly smooth, the high itself was quite light with a clear mind but no paranoia and no dizzyness, overall not a bad smoke at all, hopefully after two weeks curing I can give a more accurate report.

Was surprised this grew right into early November, the purple color was a nice feature and it was very difficult to spot. Had real difficulty drying this plant so had to opt for a wet cure as caught some mould growing when in the curing stage. Overall would only recommend this plant for oil or hash as the smoke itself is very weak.
