Seeds arrived on 7-12-21. Placed 5 in water at 3pm let sit until next morning. Non had sank until I poked them, they really will sit on top from surface tension. Switched to paper towel on 7-13-21 at 6am. The plan was to pot directly into 5 gallon grow bags that were to arrive today, 7-13, got a notice that the bags are running late. If I have to I will plant into plastic pots I have, I think they are 1 gallon. Will be using fox farm ocean forest soil. 7-14-21 - 4 out of the 5 have taproots, I believe I see the 5th starting to crack so I went ahead and put them in their forever homes. vivosun 5 gal grow bags that by the grace of god got here just in time today. filled them with fox farm ocean forest and put the seeds in, getting them to be tap root down was a pain so i think most ended up kinda side ways, I didnt want to break the tap root so I just coverd them up. I watered around them with ph adjusted water, side not found out my well water is a super high ph. Dont have a meter yet but used the drops that came with the ph up down kit and it couldnt have been more green. 7-18-21 they have all sprouted, yay, even the seed that didnt show taproot during germination

I germinate papertowel and plant into final container. I use a hand spray, put a plastic cup over the sprout and spray the top surface with about 100ml every day and take the cup off when finished spraying (no opportunity for the light to burn the leaves if they dont get wet) - leaving it dry around the plant to encourage lateral root growth and then a tiny trickle down the bottom if the stem like 5ml 100ml sounds a lot but your temps and air movement mean that most will dry out before the roots get anywhere near it and it means your soil won't (hopefully) go hydrophobic.

Added a second light later last week. running 1 viparspectra va1000 and 1 p1000. Things are looking pretty good or the beginning of week 2. The 5th seed that didnt germ but sprouted in the pot has some weird twist going on with the first two leaves, not sure what going on but Im sure itll straighten out.

Lower your PH that might help, 6.5 seem high try to go 5.8- 6.0 as they start to root out. Try it out and see what happens .

Plants have been doing well. Some have gotten kind puffy leaves which I believe is over watering but it comes and goes. These pics are from monday, I put lst clips on two monday and have since done some lst work on the rest. I will add more recent photos of the lst tomorrow. Im not sure if I should defoliate some of the bigger fan leave to make room for what under them or just let it grow some. Edit- added pics of lst through out the week. wondering if im doing to much to fast? I think not since they are autos. also wondering if some type of defoliating should be done.

I have performed lst through out the week but it seems like alot of the bigger fan leaves are getting in the way. Should I do some type of defoliation?

I usually just tuck the big leaves that are in the way in the early stages. I'll do my first defoliation at the beginning of flower and then another on at week 4 of flower. From then on I just remove leaves that are blocking prime bud site. ✌️

This last week is going well. I can really see now how lst is supposed to work. One plant has responded really well and has really split the growth between three main branches, the others not so much. I think I may just be impatient and need to let them stretch some as it seems I performed some pretty heavy lst very early. All in all the plants look really healthy, Been feeding ff grow big 2tbs every other watering. I believe Im seeing pistols or preflowers so maybe next week Ill switch to a bloom formula.

These things are just blooming away. Im fairly happy with the lst on a couple of them. One still wants to be a bush and I cant decide if I should defoliate, I will probably just let it do its thing. 2 teaspoons of growbig per gallon every other feeding untill now. The next watering Im going to start some of the flowering nutrients.

Missed this last week, these things are getting big! no real issues, got some burn on a random leaf but chalked it up to getting the leaves soaked with nutrient water. one plants lst has gona amazing. Preforming the technique just right on this one plant seems to have made a huge difference, there in no tell tail main cola, it seems the auxin was disrupted properly and sent the nutrients to equal parts among the plant.

These are all the same seed same source. Each plants structure seems to have taken a little differently (or in the tall ones case wildly different) to my lst technique, which I thought I had done pretty much the same all around. Ive ran into some sort of leaf discoloration issue. Im having a hard time telling if its to much nutrients or lack of.

Looks like it could be light burn make sure you light is in the manufacture specs for flower stage some suggest the light at 12-14in. Verify hight an if can dial back dial back or move the light up.
