Eagle680 Topped her, chopped her, mainline started. This will be my first mainline, but experimented with previous grow to get experience.

Eagle680 Topped above 3rd node, starting to train for manifold gently. I'm following the step-by-step instructions at cocoforcannabis.com/how-to-manifold-cannabis-plants/. This is the best set of precise instructions I've found and feel comfortable with. Let's see if we can get TWO ounces :-)

Eagle680 Having fun building my first manifold. Eight colas now growing and developing in circular pattern, looking great with even canopy.
Eagle680 Starting to stretch up. The trichomes are plentiful and many are cloudy.

Eagle680 These Jack Herer buds are a thing of beauty, fat and juicy. I wasn't giving her nutes for a few weeks, and she developed some copper leaving, but we're back on-track now with about 1/2 tsp/gal of Miracle Gro liquid. Just waiting for my other plant to harvest, so that this one can have all of the light to itself.

Eagle680 Colas starting to stretch up, they're each about 4-5 inches tall now. They are the fattest and densest buds I've ever seen. I messed-up the light timer for about a week, and stressed them out causing a lot of fox tailing. I think this will have minimum effect on the yield and quality, but really looks like crap. Learned lesson about making sure light is consistent. Also thinking on next grow I might just do 18/6 instead of 20/4, probably doesn't matter much, as long as it's consistent through flowering to harvest I think.

Eagle680 Still fox tailing a lot. I see now why it's important to dial-in the lighting schedules, distances,, and intensities. Otherwise everything is looking good...

Eagle680 Had a bud rot attack between two of my colas that were growing close together. Too-much moisture in the tent. Got a damp-rid bag, will keep humidity under 50%. Cut out the rot, hopefully no more on other colas. Learned valuable lesson about keeping the tent humidity stable.
Great job so far! Your plants look much different than my Jack Herer but that is solely in part of the growers.
Kinda jelly of your grow tbh!
Keep it up 👍
Something I learned from this grow - it's good to have a tent that's not bigger than the footprint of your light(s). If your tent is too-big, then you lose the benefit of light bouncing off the walls and helping the outsides of the buds. Using my lux meter, I find the extra reflective light to be significant. Also, I learned that you probably need a fan setup and/or air conditioning system to keep the temperature and humidity right in a CLOSED tent (that maximizes reflection off the walls). My advice to newbies is that you only need a big tent if you're going to be a producer or seller. For guys like me who just want personal supply, I think one 2x2 tent, and one plant at-a-time is gonna be plenty. You can easily get 2 oz from a 12-week flowering plant....and that's enough weed for most people for 3 months. It probably depends on how much you use, but 1 oz/month is plenty for most people I know. The HLG 225 light I have is plenty for one plant at-a-time in a 2x2 tent. Not quite enough for two flowering plants I think, but two of them would do it in a 2x4 tent...but that would require a good fan/AC system to deal with the extra heat. It's complicated, but fun to learn about :-)
