Basic germination but one seed looked a little off when I was done and getting ready to put into a cardboard cup.this seed came to be known as stumpy as she would not open her cotyledons and look weird but after about 2 day I had to take a zip tie and manipulate her to open and it didn't take much.
I was given good advice.I was told to be careful but use the opportunity to learn a new technique as I'm a beginner.I will tie her down sometime this week so by next weeks pics I should be good to go for a couple of weeks. Ty ahead of time for all your help it is appreciated and needed.
The tying position looks good. You want to attach to something strong enough to do what you want.
It looks like you are using fabric pots. I use a soldering iron or heat a nail in a flame and then use the hot nail to melt a series of holes around the top of the fabric pot. They are perfect for attaching wires or string for training the plant. I also fill the pots much more than you have. Over the course of a grow my soil level drops about 5-8 cm so I start by filling the pot almost to the top.
I also like using wire. It is easier to make small adjustments and there is no tying. Many nurseries and online sell wire just for this job. It has a thick, squishy rubber coating so it doesn't hurt the plant and can be reused many times. I also have used pipe cleaners.
I am playing catch up but thanks everyone who has helped me.this grow is mainly for experience so the next grow I will know what I'm really doing.don't get me wrong I'm excited to get some sweet sweet buds but I certainly am not counting on it to make me be self-sufficient
that will come with the next grow or two.
It's been an interesting week. I find out that the plant food I just used is not even for cannabis(bad advice) I order the 3 combo pack from fox farms.I flushed STUBBY and tested the run off but I can't tell,maybe you can.oh and I watered today with recharge in it.
WOW so much has happened for just a week.first I got rid of all but one hemp twine that I was using for LST.I got soft wire now and it works much better.I started adding proper nutes and I found out the type of test I was using for my PH lvls was off.I purchased a digital meter and I could see right away I had been putting to high of PH into DR NO.I started measuring my run off as well and my PH lvl the first time was 5.8 the next was 6.1 and I will keep monitoring it.like I said alot has happened this past week and I can't wait to post next weeks pics of this young lady.
Ok so alot has happened since last week.first I got me a EC, CF,ppm meter and decent one at that.I learned that my girl had no nutes in her I mean none my EC was .44(don't laugh)and PPM was 300.I am learning literally something new every week.I was afraid of nutrient lock because of what happened to her sister so I was barely giving any nutrients.I am getting it in check. If you see anything or make a suggestion thanks I really do appreciate all the help.the last watering I gave her this was the water numbers before I gave it to her. ph6.5/EC2.5/PPM1800/CF23.1 and yes I know my CF number was way hi but I'm my goal was give a heavy dose nutrient water
Anyone want to take a guess at how much longer how many more weeks you think I have untill I need to harvest .all answers are appreciated and I thank you.she started her 9th week today 8-17 and she is a critical purple auto. (guesstamate)
Check tricks for mostly cloudy and a little ambering. Mostly cloudy is your max the. If you let them amber to 20 or 30% the effects change, not the potency... Cheers
I'm getting ready to go out of town for 7 days and she will turn 11weeks next Tuesday while I'm away but when I get back it will be 2 days before she is 12 weeks and then I will do the dirty part hahahaha if anyone thinks otherwise please let me know what you think 🙏
This is the week before vacation and I struggled with pulling her or waiting and after asking and getting advice I decide to wait the 10 days untill I returned. The next week will be the harvest and I was nervous as this is my first ever seed to bud.I still hope I made the correct decision but I won't know that for at least another month and a half.
This started out as a DR.NO and STUBBY diary.I usually name my girls after something that's happened to them and as such I had written no on a paper cup I was waiting to sprout as I didn't think she was going to sprout and I wrote yes on the other one and as it worked out the cup with the yes never sprouted and so DR.NO was born,STUBBY's cotyldone leafs stuck together lol as a result she was a little stubby. After about week 7 STUBBY gets nutrient lock and I'm not experienced enough to save her so I just push her to the side and did what I could it then becomes DR.NO'S DIARY.I almost tossed STUBBY twice but I just couldn't bring myself to do it and then right before vacation I noticed a few very very small buds and since the life span of a auto critical purple is not that long I didn't think much about it until I came back from vacation and boom she was all kinda buddy😃😃.I'm glad I didn't give up on her but I don't know what I should do about the diary??should I keep going with it or start a whole new one just for STUBBY?I'm good either way, I'm crazy curious how long she will go before, well you know RIP😓
Sorry about the pics I was trying to get her in the correct light.I loved having this journal and all the help I got,so thank you because this is my first grow.I have learned so much about what really goes into growing great pot and wow that's only half of the journey now onto drying and curing witch will be the order of the day.thanks again to everyone who helped me.
