So I started my first grow, i'm a week in since seeds broke the soil . So far I have them in what i'm calling my seedling chamber. The 3 grouped to the left are white widow autos, the 5 that are bordering the outside are all regular original skunk. I am waiting on a 150w LED grow light to build a space bucket for one WWFA, I am considering building another bigger space bucket for the other 2 WWFA or buying a grow tent. My plan for the original skunk seeds is to plant them outdoors. It is late in the season for an outdoor grow but hopefully I will get some results with them. I want to try to grow organic, currently they are in organic soil with a small amount of organic compost. Any advice on organic nutrients would be awesome.
The story of Newbie Nut burn... and how it happened. It all started, at the grow shop. I enthusiastically went down and bought a nut system. My grow bible states not to feed seedlings for 3 weeks. At around 11;30 pm the temptation got to me and i decided to do a little mixing, fallowing the bottles ratios, I mixed up some fertilizer. At this point theres 2 takaways. DOnt fuck around after 11pm with your plants. And listen to your grow bible. Now this part pains my ego, I proceeded to spray around the stems but at the last minute decided to give the tops a little mist... Dont do this. The next morning I woke up to some burning and new I fucked up, I watered the shit out of them and put them outside, I thought the LED was speeding up my burning process.
All the plants are coming back now, 1 is ifey. Its been 4 days since the burn. A few funny leafs for now and plans on taking transfering this week.
Moved 5/5 skunks outdoors. 1/3 ww outdoor as well. WWA outdoor: This plant is growing 2 top stems after my nutrients burnt the 3rd set of leafs. Should be interesting to see how the 2 tops develop. This plant really took off as well when it was put outside.
Ive dedicated most my time to 1 WWA in a space bucket. My current light is shit so ive ordered some new parts to get this thing pumping out some more juice. Future plans of DIY UFO light.
So I figure my lights at 300w right now. I have 4 cobs being driven @700ma from my wall @110v im assuming this is right, I went (W)=(V)(A) so (W)=(110)(.700) any LED guys out there to verify this?
Hi Brokeleg, your math is good (W)=(V)(A) but I'm not sure if ur cobs are 110v each. Is this a cumulative series wired voltage? In this case you should have 77W. For a detailed math I'd need cobs and driver model. Thx
No it's not like that. Just like your phone charger works at a reduced voltage (usually 5 volts) even though it's plugged at 110V, your lights works at a reduced voltage (how much depends on the one you are using)
Hi @Brokeleg! Indeed, that would make 308W but it depends on your resistance and the voltage drop. I recommend to get a smart-plug so you'll be able to track your energy consumption efficiently. Happy growing!
@Brokeleg,that is what i think exactly to much water. They started to droop in week 5. i hope she recovers. In worst case repot her. and give her new drye r soil. but try at first to reduce watering. Because autos dont like transplanting . But they also dont like it to have wet roots. they may molder
@Larimar, yeah they havent been looking great i raised my light, and put a dimmer on it. Dont know if this is from too much light or maybe to much water?
Next time if it’s in door keep it indoors. I’ve seen so many growers ruin there crops from putting their plant out in the garden for a few days of sun, then putting vback in the tent and infecting there whole grow area. Stay indoors dude✌️🏻
