She is on a 12/12 from seed, and will be the first time I have tried it, I'm wondering if any of you have any idea on yield. I know it depends on various factors but I imagine the main cola is chunky af.

100%. They can be short or up to 18 inches tall and it’s basically one chunky cola! There is a guy on IG that does this all the time and it’s interesting to see the results! ✌️🏻💚🌿💨

Do you think pot shape, not size..produces more uniform plants and do you think pot shape makes a difference in what weight she can bear at the end of flower?

Yes, 100%! Bear in mind, cannabis roots and the ones that absorb the most nutrients are sideways growers. So it’s almost better to have a short, but bigger diameter pot. I use a lot of 7 gallon pots, but filled with 6 gallons of soil to help with the lateral growth! Been growing beasts lately! Good luck! ✌️🏻💚🌿💨

On a 12/12 from seed would you remove all side shoots to allow for one fat chunky main cola or just let her do her thing? First time using this method. Advice would be appreciated.. thank you 👌🌱

In my opinion, if your going straight to 12/12 cycle don't do any cutting or LST. Most plants don't get very big under 12/12 so you don't want to slow it down. It should make 1 good cola without being touched.

Does anybody have an ideal strain that does well under 12/12 from seed? I know autos aren't the best so thinking photoperiod strains really... Thanks in advance guys.

Back in the day we grew all the Hazes with 12/12 from day 1 or else they would just outgrow the room........look for stuff like legitimate Colombian Sativas / Hazes

Would you top her on a 12/12 from seed and implement a training technique I was thinking a single plant scrog? Or removing all small bud sites leaving one cola, this is the first time I've tried this method so I will experiment with answers from experienced growers. Many thanks.

No. On a 12/12 from seed, you basically just let them go all natural. Anything you do will stunt the growth and progress. Just let it go! ✌️🏻💚🌿💨

I might avoid topping if you're going 12-12 from seed. Topping is pretty intrusive and an aggressive form of training. The plant will need time to recover from the topping, and it may cause problems if the plant is already thinking its time to flower and focusing all of it's energy on that. I would do LST and tie the plant down instead. Then when new shoots start growing as the plant starts stretching, you can tie those down too to expose more potential bud sites. LST is less stressful on the plant and if it's going into flower right from the start, I would try and have as little interference as possible. If you really want to top, maybe consider extending the light cycle and let the plant veg for a bit until it recovers from the topping. Once the new growths have 2-3 sets of new leaves, switch back to 12-12 and let her rip. Hope this helps. Cheers!

Yes having done a few 12/12 from seed I don’t recommend topping - I don’t believe you’ll have enough lateral growth to do a scrog. I would leave as is - you will likely see a main cola type growth from it regardless of whether you take off lower growth or not. I wouldn’t overthink it at this point. You don’t wanna cause serious stress right around the time it might be transitioning to flower - which you are pretty much guessing that will be when you do 12/12 from seed. If you aren’t worried about the product and end result and just wanna learn form experimenting.. go for it! But otherwise I would let it do it’s thing

Can you veg even after a 12/12 from seed has been in flower room 3 weeks shes just not big enough and would also like to top her so I really am considering it, the reason being is I can't see one pistil yet which means she's not mature, I don't see why it would make a difference

Nice!!! If you want to experiment, try fimming her.... after that you have choice: just some LST, some HST, Supercrop or full SCROG. Its just how much time you have or are willing to put in. 2 minutes per watering or 10 minutes per watering if doing LST. Try it and you'll love it.. Even with HID, which should be able to handle 'unmodified' christmas tree classic type plants just fine, you will see more even distribution of size and mass and overall bigger cola's. Check out Rock and Roll Randies style or Roberts styles for some different but highly succesfull approaches. I do a full scrog mainly cause Im lazy and dont want to manage every branch... Just tuck em under.... And I love looking at oceans of buds.... Good luck and have fun, whatever way you go... choose one your comfortable with, but dont be affraid to hurt them a little....

@Nylanderfour20, thank you for the compliments! And in experience, well just over a year ago I knew little to nothing about growing under Led, Ive ony really grown outdoors. I've learned to read the plants a lot better in past year. And monstercropping I had never heard off till my grow was revegged by accident. So I learned as I went. Im very curious to see what you choose. Some extra advice: the yellowing on top, I think you are overwatering. also bit of drooping and very black soil. Only give her 2 liters every three days coming weeks. Let the pots dry out then steadily up the watering. I wouldnt do anything now, just let her recover. After she recovers I would FIM her. But its up to you of course! Happy growing ad good luck from across the pond!!

Not sure I'm keen on the 12/12 from seed, I like a big thick stalk and that just doesn't develop,or have time to develop as it's putting all energy into growing tall to get the most light.
