I started by leaving the seeds 24h in glasses of water, when i remove them already notice the seeds opening. For germination i used Jiffy Coco pellets (as I'm going to use coco I thought it made sense). On day 3 noticed some seeds with problems, one of them growing upside down, and other rolling in the growth medium. Carefully I've opened the pellets and reoriented them. The White Widow 2 was having some trouble growing, and I had to gently remove the shell, this one is noticeable less grown than the rest of them. On the 4th day all the cotyledons have emerged, except for WW2. Also noticed the seedlings were stretching and I've removed the dome and lowered the lights to about 60cm at 20% intensity. On day 6 I moved the plants to small pots, at this time I'm watering them manually. Also at this period I started to add nutrients to the water (Canna Coco A + B and Rhizotonic). I've used Canna coco slabs (66%) mixed with perlite (34%). The coco was rinsed to remove the peat, and double buffered with Canna CalMag at 1.5ml/l for 8/10h per buffer. Couple of difficulties I'm facing, due to lack of preparation: As I'm waiting for the EC and PH meters to arrive, I'm using chromatic test for PH (I'm a bit colorblind so this is tricky) and a multimeter for EC. After I removed the dome and increase lighting to 50% I'm having trouble keeping humidity at good levels. Currently I'm having 30º C with 50% RH during lighting periods and 24º C with 70% RH during dark hours (this seems ok). I've already ordered a humidifier and a grow tent fan to handle the issue.

The second week was quite a ride. Rookie mistakes, a malfunction that almost ruined the entire growth and had to anticipate several steps. So, first things first. Got a humidifier to control the environment on the tent, and I was extremely pleased to see how the plant reacted to the increased humidity. I had it setup to turn on if humidity got below 75% and off if over 85% (before i had the humidifier it was between 45% and 70%). On day 9 I noticed something odd, my sensor was reporting 100% humidity on the tent. Went to check and I couldn't believe, water was everywhere. Luckily it was during the dark period and I noticed in time, if the lights turned on with those conditions, they would blow up. The plants were miserable after 4h plus of drowning 😖 Fortunately they survived. This week I also made a rookie mistake and gave the plants too much light. I had the grow light at 50cm and have increased intensity too much too fast. I've raised the lights to 75cm and decreased the intensity a little. My light sensor is on ground level, about 20cm below the canopies, and currently measures 11400 lux. Interesting to see that the Wedding Cake seems more affected by the excess light, those clearly show more heat stress signs than the rest. On day 12 I had to transplant the plants to their final pot, much early than I expected. I started to see roots coming out the bottom of the pots, even though they haven't colonized the entire pot. On future growths, I'll use smartpots for this stage or some kind of mesh on the bottom of the pots. Since I had to transplant my babies, I went ahead and set the entire autopot system without turning it on. The system is fed by a 47 liter tank (outside the tent) and with lines distributed to all aquavalves. I'm also using Airdomes fueled by a dual air pump. Despite the scare of almost killing all my plants, I love how much they ended up growing this week. Apart from the heat stress signs on the Wedding Cakes and the riquets on White Widow 2, they are looking good 😁

So, this week went considerably smoother. No great problems, except for what seems some CalMag deficiency, so I've added some CalMag to the tank and spray the leafs during night time with dome water with CalMag solution. I've turned on all the autopot system with the airdomes, and the plants seem to be thriving. I've also FIMed the plants, it's a bit scary for a first timer like me and i'm not exactly sure i nailed it, guess time will tell. I've added a scrog net, my goal is to get 4 colas from each plant and try to seperate them in the net. Can't wait to start flowering this babies 😁

This week there was more scary tasks for a first timer. I've trimmed quite a few leafs as my space per plant is very limited. Three days later I've topped all the plants except for the white widows. The results were great 😁 I've also added a second fan on the tent. With limited space and doing a SoG with high humidity levels, mold is a concern.
