A new week and the excitement of flowering has me checking for new flowers daily. In truth, I just like spending time with them. Broke down and added a second reservoir for my vegging plants, working on fine-tuning that system for the proper drip rate and runoff

Plants are really short and stubby with a little canoeing. Are my lights to close? Right now at 21” away. I have good circulation and intake/exhaust fans. Do you see any issues I should address? It’s hard to LST with so many fan leaves in the way

If you’re worried about light height - check out this app called Photone.. I suggest it to growers often. If you have to spare for an in all purchase, it gives you a par meter from your phone that gives you a PPFD read out. It’s very accurate I’ve researched it and seen reviews of it compared to the benchmark apogee instruments. In veg I like to have at least 500 PPFD, and in flower at least 800-900. Everything else looks pretty on point, sometimes you just gotta let those bushy ones grow out a bit before you can really LST properly.

Got ArmorSi and Diamond Nectar but not sure how much and when to use. running 3g fabric pots, 70/30 coco, perlite on a drip system feeding twice daily about 1/4 -1/3 gallon per feeding. I am using GH Flora line as follows: 1/2tsp micro, 1/2tsp gro, 1/4 tsp bloom, 1tsp calmag

I use Armor Si. Always mix it into plain water first! No other nutrients. Mix it well, I use the full strength NOT the maximum strength. It's the middle dose at .5ml a liter. Then add your nutrients as normal. Stop using pH up if you use Armor Si. You need to use Armor Si as your pH up now. 1 single drop at a time while mixing the nutrients solution ( yes everything pre mixed already) you have to do this slowly and check the pH every few drops because it will go up super fast. As long as your mixing 1 drop slowly while stirring you won't create a lockout. I've used a ton of Si and barely burned a plant after adding way to much pH down. It was well worth it. The stem on the plant is really thick at only 4 weeks old lol. If you use it as a foliar spray you need to really dilute it a lot. It will burn your leaves if it sits to long. I started out using it as a spray and kept burning leave so I dialed in mixing it. Just my personal practice.

I know genetics is a big factor, but these are suppose to be Sativa dominant 70/30, and they seem to be so short, even the LST sprouts are only a couple inches. When do autos typically take-off and produce some distance between nodes or are these stunted?

I find mine take off around the 4 1/2 week mark. If you give them excess light they will keep the nodes tight. Best of luck the rest of the way.

Is there any reason not to fertigate 3 times in 24hrs, once every 8 hours with 10/15% runoff. Currently I am running once every 12 hours. Once at lights on and then 12 hours later.

I’d lean more towards 3 or more than the 2 daily you’ve outlined.. It will take some time and adjusting to find what works but I would want more than just one feeding while lights are on if I had a system set up like this.. in fact, it makes sense to go ahead and do 4 or 5 if you are gonna step it up from 2 daily. Sticking with 2 daily seems hardly more advantageous than manual watering once a day.

If these were underneath growth and you just topped them or exposed them, i wouldn’t be worried. They’re at that point where rapid growth is happening and flowering changes are beginning.. sometimes you’ll see some mild deficiencies show up that shouldn’t be overreacted to IMO. Keep an eye on it but I wouldn’t take any steps like adjusting feed just yet.. luckily you’re in coco so any adjustments made in the future to remedy any issues will take effect quickly.. Give it a few days and go from there. They’re looking good and your feed numbers seem on point for your set up and it being an auto. A lot of ppl over dose autos.

I would like to maintain a perpetual harvest using one tent. Using autos, I’d start 2 plants every 45 days ( have to keep it legal) 4 plants total. I use automatic watering. How do I manage plants at different life stages? Feeding bloom nutes to my seedlings won’t work. Ideas?

I use separate watering machines. I have several of them and each has it's own bucket for water supply. You can mix whatever nutrients you want in each bucket. Right now I am doing photos and traveling. I have to watering machines set up. One contains my main nutrient mix and the other has water and cal/mag. They dose the plants 12 hours apart. I could have gotten by with one machine but if it fails my plants die so I split the watering between two devices. If one fails at least my plants get enough water to keep them alive until I return.

I’m not advocating for this brand because I’ve never used it.. just suggesting you check it out..but there are all in one nute line ups One called “gold leaf”.. they promise a lot that frankly seems impossible but they are supposed to be all one nute seedling to harvest.. and it’s supposed to only take up the nutes it needs and not burn. Seems impossible like I said but just passin on the info. It’s expensive as hell too

I am using a 20g reservoir, following coco for cannabis nite schedule, and when I went to plant my 2nd two babies I realized I would have to hand water, which I was trying to avoid.

Should I defoliate these girls? Day 12-15 of flowering. They came in so bushy with LST and auto genetics. Should I do the typical 1/3 of the plant? Or just thin her slowly a few leaves at a time?

Let them finish stretching (if they havent) before you start chopping as they will slow down for a few days which you dont wanna lose in stretch. Most of the guys here (me included) would advise defoliating an auto - just try tucking leafs where needed although for pruning and removing sucker buds do that after stretch, again to nit slow them down too much. You might have good light penetration if you keep on top of your LST and not even need to defoliate.

Servus Mate, I'd go with a light defo, as Autos are more likely to be stressed out. 3rd week of bloom is latest to do that.. Good luck, Servus ✌️

I do all my removal if I do any while the plants are in transition to try to slow there stretch, if they are stretching more than I like. When they actually show flowers, I don't touch any leaves until the last couple of weeks, to not give any undo stress... Cheers
