Lava Cake clone

This morning the Lava Cake clone had been under the dome for just over 2 weeks, so I took her out and potter her. When I came home, I was worried that she would be sad and droopy. Instead she has spread out and is perky! I am keeping her inside until Saturday when I will find a nice shady spot to acclimate.

She is happy outside. I had a piece of burlap covering first couple days, then stormed a couple days, and now she is out partially shaded. I plan to start giving nutrients this week.

She looks happy with a bit of new growth. I really like this plant! This weekend I will move her from partial shade to full sun. I am giving nutrients every other day, but may increase to every day or too dress with some basic 5-5-5. I did sprinkle on some DE to help keep bugs away. Some of my smaller plants have been eaten, and I want her to thrive.

(Please excuse the weeds) she has loved the extra sun and is putting on new leaves. Soon it will be time to move her to a larger pot. With days growing shorter, I will need to bring her in for extra light. I will probably start lst, too. They keep you busy! Update - she is inside under 18 hours of light just so she can veg a bit before going back out. A bit dry in the last pictures. I will post perky pics later.

Well, inside hasn’t worked like I had hoped. She is sad and continues to flower. So this weekend she will get a bigger pot and back outside in the big world. Poor, pitiful little thing. Update - she is back outdoors and she seems happier

She is so much happier outside playing in the sunshine and rain. Nice growth, much better color. I am hopeful that with minor topping and a week of light, I may have convinced her to re-veg. Guess we will know by next week. I saw possible signs of caterpillars so treated everyone with Monterey Bt.

Well, she is definitely flowering so I am going with it. I was out of town this weekend, but she did well on her own. Nice looking plant gaining height and bulk.

Lots of little buds on this girl. She is growing short and plum with a darker color than any of my other plants. She is so cute, it is a shame they don’t make good house plants! I am just letting nature take its course with this clone. Next year maybe I will try some outdoor photos from seeds, but start earlier so they can get added size. This clone has been a fun grow so far.

Of my four plants, lava cake is the most unique. She has stayed short and squatting with buds growing all over. I wondered if I could spread the branches a bit to let in light, but there just isn’t enough height. I guess she will continue to do what she wants. I mentioned in my other diary that trying to reveg these made a strange growing anomaly. Both these clones have developed leaves with just 3 fingers. They don’t seem to have other issues, though, so I am pleased. Just waiting and watching.

No much to report this week. The days are getting cooler, and I am just waiting for her to ripen. Lots of smallish buds - but I will be happy no matter what she produces. Most cannabis I will be giving to friends, but I may keep this strain for myself!

The buds aren’t the biggest, but they sure are frosty! Two weeks of fresh water for everyone, but I am really looking forward to this plant’s harvest.

This week was difficult - I moved them to the other side of the house with company coming. Then bugs and my sprayer wasn’t working well. Then we had an unexpected storm and wet weather. I they are back to the more protected part of the house, but I sense the end is near! I haven’t seen any amber trichomes, but I also don’t see any clear ones. Update - harvest day so I took a few last pictures. It won’t be a large harvest, but I think the quality is there.

I let dry a bit too long, I think. Curing now.
