Aug 2nd: Just getting this going after a month of getting the cabinet built. Countless set backs on light proofing and ventilation in this tight space. Was also challenged with keeping the grow stealthy, and that's why my space is so limited. Legal here is the blazing hot state of AZ, however my lease very clearly states no grows, and even consumption of this great plant... After being a smoker for 32 years, and a strong desire to grow the majority of that time... Cops aren't going to ruin my life now that its legal. Fuck the lease! 😎As long as I keep it stealth.
Seeds are between paper towels.
Aug 4th: 3 of the 4 seeds have decent tap roots so they went into solo cups with Jiffy organic seed starting mix watered with R/O.
Aug 6th: First seedling can be seen starting to break the soil.
Aug 7th: 2 Seedlings are now up and starting to put out their first sets of leafs. 3rd seedling is starting to break ground now. 4th seed still sitting between paper towels; tap root broke out 36 hours ago, but it has only grown about 5mm and all of that was within the first 12 hours after it split open, no new growth it 24 hours. Going to give it a couple more days and continue to hope for the best.
Aug 8th: All 3 seedlings moving upwards well. I think maybe a bit too much stretching so I lowered my lights from 6" at 260-280 PPFD, to 3" 310-325 PPFD. Going to try to keep them at 3" and adjust the dimmer to change intensity.
Seed that has had a 5mm root for the last 4 days remains unchanged. It's going to find itself in the garbage if it has not changed by tomorrow evening, I have no expectations of it making it. 😒
Definitely not a lot going on this week... Other than root development.
8/9 Fed 5ml Foop Veg1, and Veg2. 2.5ml of Sweetener. .6ml of ph up and 1/2 tsp of Recharge
8/10 They enjoyed their light nutrient feeding. Leaves are praying to the light, nice and green (what few leaves there are)
8/11 moved light from 3.5" to 2.5" adjusted dimmer up to 370 ppfd
8/12 No real change in above ground growth. Roots are starting to push to the sides of the Solo cups
8/14 First set of leaves are starting to show a little more growth after 3-4 days of no activity visible above ground.
8/15 Will need to water tomorrow, soil is drying out on top and pulling away from the sides. No noticeable growth above ground, roots are filling out more towards the sides and out of the drain holes in the Solo cups. Week 2 down, and they are still alive. Well 3 out of the 4 I tried to germinate live on... Looking green and healthy
