After my first grow I looked to try something new with the supersoil autoflower mix. Unfortunately I couldn’t afford the 5 lb bag so I had to opt for a 1lb bag giving me enough for only 1 plant. Being that strawberry banana is supposed to be amazingly terpy I choose to go with it. Bruce banner is still in cultivation nation 70/30 coco mix using the lotus nutrients. I hope what I read about having to only add ph water to supersoil and top feed at flower is correct if so I will be going this route in the future.
I started both seeds directly in their pots of different mediums both have GreatWhite mixed in and lightly watered the middle of the pot with a couple shot glasses of spring water then covered with clear plastic disposable cups. Over the next few days I’m just making sure the soil stays moist and the cups have condensation built up. After 3 days the Bruce Banner popped and by 12pm it was standing tall. I see a little soil mound building on the strawberry banana so hopefully it pops tonight.
I’m a little bummed out because I thought these genetics would really stretch. Is it something I’m doing early on to keep them short like to much light early on or being to aggressive with my LST. Should I let the plant do its own thing
The problem is the recovery time from low-stress training. Even if the plant looks recovered, it is not until there is a full canopy and another defoliation is needed. Overall your plants should do fine. I would recommend feeding wood ash once to help with the growth spurt (few tablespoons in water per plant).
Happy growing! I hope you get some good results! Take care and stay lit! I will drop by sometimes to check on your process! Say hello if you ever visit my page!
