Received my seeds for placing 10th in the Diary of the Month of May and had room for one new plant right now so started germinating Crystal Ball today. Hopefully in the next day or two, she’ll have her taproot and be ready for a jiffy pellet and light.
14 Aug 21 - Checked her today and she’s got a nice half inch long taproot showing so moved her into a jiffy pellet and the humidity dome and just waiting for her to pop through the soil now.
15 Aug 21 - She’s up and out of the soil and gonna give her another day or two to fully develop her first set of serrated leaves then will move her to her final 3 gallon pot and the tent.
Day 1 - Staring the first day today, she got her first set of serrated leaves so moved her into a 3 gallon fabric pot and placed her into the tent. Gonna keep a cover over her for a bit to keep the humidity up a bit and will start with a foliar spray in the next day or so. Really looking forward to this grow.
Day 2 - Nothing new today, just gave her a foliar spray and gave the soil a light mist of water.
Day 3 - She’s coming along nicely and like my Blue Dream, I added a bit more soil to the pot so it’s completely full now. Got a good bit of humidity in the tent now so hoping she’ll be good without her cover on.
Day 5 - All going good so far and gave her a foliar spray today with a light spray of the soil. Received a new light from Unit Farm to test and she’s hooked up and ready to roll, it’s the UFS3000.
Day 7 - The end of the first week and all looks good and she’s really seeming to like the new light so nothing to complain about at the moment. Just gave her a light foliar spray and a light spray of the soil.
Day 8 - Starting week 2 today and all is going smoothly so far. Just gonna continue with the foliar sprays and will probably start adding some to the soil soon.
Day 10 - All going good and nothing new really going on, just the boring start to a grow. Gave the soil a light mist and gave her a foliar spray. Also gave her a couple hundred ML’s about 4 inches or so around the base of her stem.
Day 11 - Still looking good as of today and nothing really much to update other than giving her a daily foliar spray and just waiting for her to start stretching a bit.
Day 14 - The end of week 2 today and all seems to be good with her. Gave her a couple hundred ML’s of plain water today and that’s about it.
Day 15 - Starting week 3 today and nothing much to speak of other than giving her a couple hundred ML’s of plain water again today. Hoping she’ll really start growing this week so I can start some training with her.
Day 17 - All still going well and starting to get some nice growth going. Not too much longer and I’ll be able to start doing some training with this one. Upped her water intake a bit and gave her about 500ML’s with Cal-Mag, pH’d to 6.7.
Day 22 - Starting week 4 today and she’s a little on the slow grower side but have started some LST the other day and trying to get her some more vertical growth before continuing. Hopefully she’ll start blowing up her shortly and she’s already throwing out some pistils. I’m thinking that the slow growth is due to lack of water cause I’ve been giving her very small amounts but upped the intake a bit today and gave her about a half gallon, we’ll see how she is tomorrow.
Day 24 - Overall she looks nice and healthy just not getting very big and not sure why. Decided to raise the lights up a bit, about 24 inches and hopefully she’ll get some more growth and stretching going on. She hasn’t been really getting much water so gave her a gallon with Cal-Mag and we’ll see how she’s doing tomorrow. I did tie out a couple of the lower branches hoping for some more growth.
Day 26 - All looking good and starting to get a bit more growth going on so did a little more LST with her today. Other than that, not much happening and she’ll get some water tomorrow.
Day 27 - Did some adjusting to her tie downs today and also gave her the first round of bloom nutes today, using FOOPCanna. Only gave her half the recommended dosage on accident but don’t really see it being an issue.
Day 29 - Starting week 5 and she did a bit of growing over the last 24 hours so did a bit of adjusting to her tie downs and such. Other than that, she’s set up nicely for her stretch and flower and this will be her first full week of flower. Should be good still on water for another couple of days.
Day 32 - All going well with this girl still and she was ready for water. So gave her a full gallon with a full dose of nutes. According to the schedule I should use the nutes every watering but will only give her some every other, unless I start noticing some burn but FOOP guarantees not to burn plants so we shall see. So far I’m liking this stuff and so are the girls.
Day 34 - Nothing much new with the is girl, she’s gonna be a shorter little girl but she should pack on the weight. She’ll be ready for water in another couple days and she’ll get just plain oH’d water this time.
Day 36 - Starting week 6 today and she’s already starting to get some nice frostiness going on. She’s done with LST and letting her go and stretch as much as she wants now but don’t think I’ll get a very tall plant out of this one. Thought she was ready for water today but still needs a few more days before she’ll be ready.
Day 38 - She was ready for water today so gave her a gallon of water and cal-mag pH’d at 6.5. All is looking good with this girl and looking forward to seeing what she’s gonna start smelling like.
Day 40 - All still going well and nothing much to speak of at the moment. She’s good on water but will be getting a round of nutes next watering.
Day 41 - Checked the soil and was getting pretty dry 3-4 inches down so she got a gallon of water today with another round of nutes. Saw a couple branches that weren’t getting too much light so tied them out and they should be good now.
Day 42 - The end of week 6 today and not much to speak of. She just got water yesterday and her training is pretty much done. The training I did yesterday is turned back to the lights and they’re now getting all the light and aren’t covered from other bud sites and fan leaves.
Day 43 - Starting week 7 today and all is going well with this girl. It’s looking like she’s gonna be more like my Sour Diesel and be a pretty short but stack plant and I’m ok with that, I’m looking for more quality not quantity. Just did a little leaf tucking with her tonight and snapped a few updated pictures.
Day 45 - Went and removed a couple of the top fan leaves today and tied out another branch that was growing good and needed some more light. Other than that, gave her a gallon of water and nutes today.
Day 48 - All going well still with her and not much happening. Just took her out for some updated pictures and to see if she needed water but still good right now.
Day 50 - Starting week 8 today and she got a gallon of water and another round of nutes. Other than that, she’s focusing on her bud making and throwing out some funky but sweet smells. Not gonna be a giant girl but should be nice, tight and compact buds when she’s finished up.
Day 52 - All still looking good and she’s still stacking up nicely. Not really much going on with her and not much I have to do with her other than some leaf tucking and light defoliation.
Day 56 - The end of week 8 and all is going well and still nothing much to speak of. Gave her a gallon of water today with a dosage of nutes.
Day 57 - Starting week 9 and all is going good still and nothing much happening. She’s pretty much just fattening up quite a bit now and not much I can do but feed her water and nutes when she needs it.
Day 59 - Still not much to update today other than she’s fattening up still. She’s gonna need some water in the next day or so.
Day 62 - Starting to flush her out today and gave her a gallon of plain water. She’s getting close but still thinking about 2 weeks or so. Still quite a few clear trichs throughout so definitely not in a rush to chop.
Day 64 - Starting week 10 today and she’ll be ready for another round of plain water tomorrow. She could definitely be chopped today, I didn’t see a single clear trich but I want her to get about 20% amber so I’ll continue to flush her out until I get the right amber in her.
Day 65 - Not much to update today other than I gave her a gallon and a half of plain pH’d water. Other than that just waiting for her to tell me she’s finished.
Day 68 - Nothing much to update other than it’s looking like she’s finally starting to fade out a bit but she still not showing me any amber trichs. She’s definitely 100% milky but I’d like some amber before chopping. Guessing anywhere between and week and two weeks. She’s really starting to show a lot of yellow and oranges in her and it’s looking gorgeous. She got a gallon of plain pH’d water today as well.
Day 69 - She’s almost finished up and will most likely give her one to two more weeks but the way her trichs are looking, she’ll probably get cut sometime next weekend.
Day 70 - Ending another week and her final week, she’s even closer now and will be getting chopped this week or no later than this weekend. I’m just gonna let her finish using up the water in the pot and that’ll be a wrap for this girl.
Day 71 - Starting week 11 and what should be this girls final week of life. She’s almost dried up and starting to show a little more amber trichs. Still planning on chopping her sometime this weekend.
Day 72 - Almost ready, just some updated pictures for the day, nothing much has changed.
Day 73 - Just some more pictures for today, I’ll chop her down on Saturday and looking forward to it. This girl stinks to high heaven and want to get her drying.
Day 74 - All set for the chop tomorrow, she’s used up all the water in the soil and she’s about 15% amber, just about the way I like them.
Super easy and quick grow for this girl. She took to LST without issues and developed some really stinky and dense buds. She was a fairly small plant but most likely due to the training. Definitely looking forward to running this strain again and might be sooner rather than later, depending on the smoke.
