Week three is when you feel like the plant really reveals herself, and what a reveal. BigBud X NL, is forming my very favourite type of structure, whether it turns out well or not we shall see, but she's fast growing, really fast, and super sturdy, much like a Dutch Passion, but she doesn't have that meatiness you get in DP, she is more willowing and compliant even while being very sturdy. So much so that I decided early that she was going to be the boss of the pot and Purple Haze was going to have to fit in. There are two branches coming off the second node and I might just leave them and the top cola and no other branches. So far I have removed the first pair, and the third pair. Not sure what I'm going to do with big bud yet, but after so many rigid plants, it's nice to have a bendy one back under my firm but steady stewardship.
3rd Week on this reservoir, with some guesstimated top ups.
Good luck with your grow I hope you get the best taste of buds and healthy plants! Take care and stay lit! I will drop by sometimes to check on your process! Say hello if you ever visit my page!
Greetings from L.S.T ๐๐ผ๐
Cheers. I am also using Viparspectra P600 as my only lamp. Having trouble with vertical plant growth after seedling phase. How do you do it?
Would you rather reduce brightness to I don't know 80 % so to get some length?
My tent is only 180 cm in height so won't be able to hang the LED as high up.
@hans_berthold, To emphasize @@Freddd 's comment about height being nearly all genetic take a look at the 2 plants I have going now. Totally different genetics, one super dense and squat, the other tried to take over my tent and forced me to supercrop.
I even tried raising the light and lowering the power on the shorter plant in attempt to stretch it because they were growing SO uneven. All other growing conditions are essentially identical, and they both have their own viparspectra xs.
And, to his other point about having lights higher up, take a look at weeks 10&11 of Black Jack when I was just pounding her with light from <14"(35cm) away, roasty toasty ๐
@hans_berthold, are you growing autos, they can vary incredibly from plant to plant, I currently have two growing in the same pot under the same conditions, my seedsman #2 grow. See how different they are the purple haze and the bb x nl.
Great harvest ๐ enjoy it! ๐โค๏ธ
