TowelieTheTowel Hello Grow friends! This is my first real grow attempt that I want to share with you. I am very grateful for tips, hints, and criticism. I chose Euforia because it seems very beginner-friendly for a Sativa. The first week has been amazingly good in my opinion; I'm blown away by the speed at which the plant is developing. This is mainly due to the fact that during my very first grow (6 years ago), I didn't even have ventilation and the plants took what felt like 2 years to reach their current size in 40-degree heat. Unfortunately, it's extremely hot right now, which is why I couldn't push the temperature any further. On average, it was between 28 to 31 degrees. Due to the high temperatures, I had to shift the night phase to day 5 (previously the light was off at night), as it became way too hot, and I want to relieve the plants in the long run. I'm using the Allmix from Biobizz, and apart from watering and turning the pot a quarter every few days, I'm not doing anything else. I look forward to your feedback and suggestions! Best regards, Towelie Blue stick: Euforia Purple stick: Critical

TowelieTheTowel WEEK 2: Hello grow friends! This week went very well in my opinion. I had to do very little for the plants and they are developing splendidly. On the last day, they lost a bit of green but also gained a good amount of biomass. Should I be worried about the discoloration? Due to the low humidity, I had a wet towel in there for a few days which led to a 5% increase. I still only need to water every 2-3 days, depending on pot weight. Next week, they will be repotted into an 11L pot and I will slowly start with LST. (I got some clips for that and a net for later) All in all, I enjoy seeing development day by day and I'm already looking forward to next week! I look forward to your feedback and suggestions! TowelieTheTowel Hello dear grow friends! As mentioned last week, I have now repotted the little ones into 11L pots. While repotting, I accidentally tore off 30% of the bottom roots of the Euforia when taking it out..... I was already wondering how long it would take until the first fail happens. Awesome! In the following days, I was just waiting for it to die or lag significantly in growth. But somehow, nothing happened. The Critical is growing more wide, and the Euforia is growing tall and has about 15% smaller leaves; at first glance, I couldn't see any extreme differences. I would attribute these small differences more to the strains, but let's wait and see. What do you think? Otherwise, I am very satisfied with the progress; they are growing faster day by day, and I'm curious to see how next week looks. I will be topping and hanging up my scrog net then. So far, I haven't given any nutrients, repotted twice, and used the All-Mix from BioBizz, watering every 3-4 days, depending on need. Good luck with your grows & have a nice weekend already! Towelie

TowelieTheTowel This week was like the last, really exciting but unspectacular when it comes to issues. The two are doing very well, but I now feel that the euphoria is clearly lagging behind; sure, it's bigger, but the leaves are really small compared to the Critical. (Could this still be due to the strain (Sativa)? This can probably be explained by my fail during repotting last week, which caused 30% of the bottom roots to tear off. As you might see, there was an upgrade. Since the plants are growing so incredibly well, I didn't want to accept a loss in the harvest due to lack of size in height and width. I got myself an 80x80x180 tent to create more space. 100x100 would be too big for me since I grow exclusively for personal use, and with a little practice, the yields in this size should definitely be sufficient. A bigger tent also means more power for the lamp. I decided on a Greenception GC 4; I read that it might not have the needed power to reach all corners in the last weeks for 80x80, but as I said, I believe that with a little practice, enough yield can still be realized. Since we are in the 4th week and thus just before the onset of the flowering phase, I repotted the plants into their final pots. This wasn't actually planned, but I noticed how deep they were sitting in the pots and the lower leaves were hardly getting any light; furthermore, this makes LST extremely difficult. I have now added about 10cm of soil at the bottom, which has lifted them up. I'm very curious to see how next week looks; then the scrog net will also be unpacked! Best regards & good luck with your grow Towelie

TowelieTheTowel This week was: TERRIBLE The development of the plants has been enormous again, they show no signs of deficiency and have a nice, even dark green. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of topping 2 side shoots because I read that it would be possible. Unfortunately, nothing has developed at those spots so far, so I suspect that was bullshit, you never stop learning. I would have been surprised if everything went smoothly. Because: I broke a total of 3 stems during LST. But I also notice how much more confident I'm becoming and how far I can push them. All these little mistakes have made me keep my plants in the growth phase until they spread out more. Hopefully, height won't be a problem! I already know that I will probably have losses in the harvest, but I've learned so much so far. I’ll weigh the loss against what I've learned, it should balance out :D! I'm really looking forward to the harvest! Good luck with your grow, Towelie

TowelieTheTowel Hello dear grow friends! I've decided to leave the girls in the growth phase for another week. I wanted to wait until they spread out a bit more, and they did really well this week. Also, I haven't used any nutrients this week; only today (on the last day of the week) did I discover 2 leaves that indicate a nutrient need. Next week, I will initiate flowering to prevent excessive growth; I'm curious to see if my calculations regarding height will work out. Furthermore, I've removed the little plant clips as much as possible; they really suck. Next time, I'll only use garden wire! Good luck with your grow, Towelie

I know I have old eyes, and I dont want to panick you, but that could well be yellow leaf spot coming in - septoria. Keep a close eye and if you get a lot if pimples apprearing like the blemish in the darker leaf on the right in pic 1. Either that or time to start feeding - is it on just a few leafs or on all leafs? Allmix should do up to about 6 weeks so now is about time to feed - hungry is more likely than septoria so treat for hunger first (as it is more gentle) and watch closely for developments. With biobizz keep your doses low & constant every watering - you should notice sustained feeding of your soil microbes rather than a single dose per week will keep your rhizosphere pumping - I would also suggest topping up up your microbes when you add bb liquids to aid breakdowns of organic material as the vast majority of the nutritional content needs to be broken down to become available which will take a few days. If your plant is already hungry it is time to start feeding organics ASAP to avoid deficiencies developing.

TowelieTheTowel Hey guys! New week, new luck. Last week, I unfortunately had to realize that I started fertilizing way too late. Now I know when to start fertilizing next time to prevent a nutrient deficiency. Otherwise, the girls have developed well and, in my opinion, have also recovered a bit. Sure, there are a few leaves that still show spots, but they haven't spread to the whole plant. I hope I started early enough and that this won't be an issue anymore. No matter what happens, I will finish this diary even if it goes completely wrong. I see this attempt as a test and a grow to learn from so I don't repeat these mistakes next time. I'm excited for the coming weeks! Good luck with your grow, Towelie

TowelieTheTowel Hello dear grow friends! This week was also rather uneventful, they have recovered well and you can see how slowly the buds are coming in. I defoliated again since I was a bit hesitant the first time and didn't remove enough. I'm really looking forward to the next few weeks! Good luck with your grow! Towelie

TowelieTheTowel Hello dear grow friends! I was just lazy for the last 2 weeks, but I've caught up on the weeks now. As promised! NO MATTER WHAT COMES, I WILL PUSH THROUGH! & I'm slowly getting SCARED!!! Everything is actually going very well, I'm being very cautious with the nutrients because I want to prevent over-fertilizing. But the closer the harvest gets, the more freaked out I get when a leaf droops or when 1-2 leaves turn yellow after I've waited a bit too long to fertilize again. Pure stress! I just don't trust this nutrient plan, I've read multiple times that a whole harvest went down the drain just because they strictly followed it. Do you think my approach is smart? My motto: Better too little than too much. I thought it makes more sense to gain experience on the first grow and risk less yield than to want the best result right away. I'm slowly feeling my way towards the optimum, but I'm sure this method will lead to them lagging behind in development. My cautious fertilizing means they have 1-2 days of standstill before they can take up the nutrients. Next time I now have reference values to guide me. The goal is getting closer!! Good luck with your grow, Towelie

TowelieTheTowel Hello dear grow friends! This week has been absolutely terrible... more and more deficiencies are showing up, and I feel like I've lost track of the fertilizing. I've now ordered ALGA-Mic to help bring back the leaf green, and I'll be ordering more BioBizz products in the coming weeks to cover the complete spectrum. Right now, growth is stagnating, and I hope they can pick up nicely by harvest time! See you next week! Towelie

TowelieTheTowel Hello dear grow friends, so.... the Euforia is really lagging behind. The leaves have burnt spots on the edges and the bud size is absolutely tiny compared to the Critical. I hope it puts on at least a little weight in the last few weeks, otherwise it won't be anything. Let's wait and see! Until next week & good luck with your grow, Towelie

TowelieTheTowel Hello dear grow friends! My FIRST HARVEST is slowly approaching!!!! My Critical looks wonderful in my opinion, and the Euforia has also made good progress last week. Of course, the Euforia won't even come close to the yield of the Critical, but that's just how it is! Not a big deal. Furthermore, I've already ordered Rootjuice, Fish-Mix & Acti-Vera for my next grow, which I will also be using for fertilizing now. I'm keeping an eye on the trichomes and will stop fertilizing as soon as an end is in sight! I've already learned so incredibly much so far and I'm hyped for my next project (4x Blueberry). I'm hyped! See you next week & good luck with your grow, Towelie

TowelieTheTowel The Euforia has cost me quite a few nerves, I've read how the Sativas shoot up, but I had a lot of trouble taming them. Due to some oversights on my part, there were many popcorn buds, which is really a shame, but now I know what caused it. Two weeks ago, the buds from the Euforia were really ridiculous AND NOW?? They have absolutely exploded, I've harvested them now with 90% milky trichomes to be able to smoke the Sativa well during the day. All in all, I'm very excited and curious about how I'll do next time!

Hey buddy, beautiful plants! For your problem with spots on the leaves, I'm currently growing 2 Euforia and I've had almost the same thing. I delayed feeding them and now it looks like a phosphorus deficiency. I hope you can quickly take care of your little ones! :)
