boywithapple Starting my first cycle of growing cannabis after almost 2 years of studying, very confident and expecting to learn a lot. I'm also growing six other strains, but I'll focus only on the White Widow Nirvana Seeds to compete in the Newby Awards, Diary of the Month, etc.
Started with the paper towel method, plain water sprayed 2 - 4 times a day to always keep it moist, covered the seeds using a plastic dome and left completely in the dark. After 12 hours, the seeds started opening and the first taproot came out.
From the 6 feminised seeds I had, all germinated and were transplanted to coco cells.
I should mention that I bought a cheap coco coir brick, washed it to remove all kinds of dust, soaked it for 12 hours in Magnifical to buffer the medium, then mixed it with 40% perlite. Now I have premium coco coir for 1/3 the price. I live in a soft water area, so my measurements from the tap are around 60 PPM and 6.7 pH.
On day 3, I started feeding lightly with organic nutrients, 100 PPM and 6.0 pH, 2 - 3 times a day. Also, they stretched out a bit because the LED light was too far, about 80 cm.
They finished their germination week being transplanted into 7L fabric pots, the height of the seedlings was corrected to 4cm and the distance between the top leaves and LED light to 50 cm. I'll be running a SOG system along the way with these girls.
I'll keep it updated every week. 🙏🏼🚀

The girls had a little stunt during this recovery week. Overall they managed to develop well, 3 full pairs of leaves, showed no signs of nutrients deficiency.
In the middle of the week, small cystolythic trichomes began to appear among the new leaves (last image) and the plants unlocked their growth.
Even though I am using organic nutrients I measure pH, PPM or Ec for tracking and control.
1st Day 🗓️
200 PPM
560 Ec
6.0 pH
200ml of solution
Increasing 15 PPM's every day.
7th day 🗓️
305 PPM
900 Ec
6.0 pH
400ml of solution
I Will start with Remo Nutrients in the second week.
Outside temperatures are rising (27° C) and humidity is falling (35%).
Several times a day I water spray the wind coming from the fans creating a mist, this has helped them a lot not to dehydrate and to cool down. I'm also spraying the grow walls 4 - 6 times a day.
Decided to invest in a portable air cooler, better than nothing, as I’m seeing that I’ll have trouble in the next weeks, especially during flowering.
Easy week, without much to comment, waiting for the next ones 🙏🏼

Currently, the grow tent has an oscillating fan blowing wind on them 24/7.
I also changed the power of my led light from 50% to 100%.
As they grew, I began to saturate the soil until 10% of runoff comes out of the bottom.
Amazing speed growth after watering with Remo Nutrients, It accelerated, the stems got thicker and they look greener than last week.
WEEK SCHEDULE WATER FEED
BioBizz 1x / Remo 6x
Every 6 feeds using Remo, 1 feed using Root Juice, Fish Mix and Alg-a-mic (1ml/L each).
I don't plan to flush them later on flowering.

The weather is getting hotter and drier, luckily this strain has incredible strength against high temperatures and stress. They seem to be responding well so far. Thank you 🙏🏼🔥
