Just getting started with this diary. These pictures were taken at the end of week 3. Hoping to flip at end of week 4 or 5, but we will see how big they are by then. Not worried about maximizing yield this time. Going to practice my LST and other manipulation techniques this time.
Well f##k.... I made a mistake with the Sulfur burn. Lights were off, but the amount of Sulfur burned was way too high and then I proceeded to try and wash the leaves by spraying excessive fresh water which may have made things worse. All leaves died and now you are seeing the new growth emerging...such a noob mistake....live and learn. I could have hid this and just waited for more new growth but I will share for posterity
Well, they survived the Sulfur burn fiasco and recovered really fast. These plants lost 95% of live leaves about 7 days ago and now look like they have no issues at all. Did a slight LST and flipped to 12-12 at the end of week 6. Pics are from the end of week 6. Here we go!!!!
400-500 PAR at current light height. Might need to lower lights if they don't get much taller. I am aiming for 800 PAR minimum for flowering.
Yes it’s for sure a male and showing he’s about to drop them balls on ya.
Smack him back to reality straight to the trash can.
Happy growing my friend!
Things seem to be going well. Switch to 12/12 at the start of this week. Lowered lights a little and I am now reading 500umol, which should improve as these plants get taller. One plant was a male as you can see in week 6. That male is gone now. Also, what a turn around from week 5 to now. All pictures taken at the end of week 7, which is first week of flower.
Everything seems to be going well. Still in the early stages of flower development and I was hoping it would stretch out a bit more. I lowered lights and I am reading between 750-900umol now.
The ladies are doing what they do best and looking good doing it. Made a mistake and went too high on the nitrogen. They are fine and dialed it back for week 4.
All good, the plant in the back is showing a slightly different phenotype. Narrower leaves and the buds are developing a little more slowly. Might be an artifact of the blurple light. Buds are filling in nicely.
I trimmed off a bunch of fan leaves, but still not as many as some of the more experienced growers. I started dropping down the Flora Grow and Micro. I hope they finish strong. Pictures are all from the end of week 5 of flower.
Everything seems to be going well, but was hoping they would swell up more. I have increased the amount I am watering as the soil is drying out pretty fast. Smelling nice, looking nice, but a few more weeks for sure.
The grow room is starting to smell really good. The girls are looking great and they are swelling and adding new hairs still. Two weeks at least and then we will see what the trichomes look like. Hoping they fade a little and seeing some slight yellowing of tips on fan and sugar leaves. I think P and K were a little high last two weeks, so straight water till the end now.
Still stacking and adding pistils. No nutes this week and going to ride this out for a week or two and see how it all goes. Doesn't seem to be struggling or pulling a lot from old leaves so I think this plant can ride it out on stored nutrients till the end.
They smell amazing and the carbon filter is barely making a dent in the smell
5-10% amber trichomes
Pistil emergence slowing down
Slight fading of fan leaves
No nutrients this week
Harvest is coming soon
This is the last week. They are done. Chopped down and drying. This is going to be a cold cure with temps in the shed between 5-20 Celsius while they dry. Might be a disaster..... we will see.
10-15% Amber trichomes. Lots of the trichome heads are bursting so I am not waiting any longer.
14 hours dark.
Only water last two weeks.
I think this was a pretty damn good grow considering that I almost killed the plants around week 4. I got 126.17g off the larger foxtail plant and 67.75g off the smaller Widow.
