Day 11 Everything's been coming along nicely in week 2. Plants are slowly growing and establishing a good root base. I gave the girls a good watering today with just tap water.
Day 12 Starting to get a little spacing between the nodes 😀
Day 14 It seems like they're growing so slowly, buy when compared to where they were 1 week ago they're actually doing pretty well!
Not a lot of upward growth at this point, but it is filling in nice and thick for a youngster. I'll be transplanting into 7 gallon pots (Their final home) sometime this week.
I bought these seeds at ILGM, and they list the difficulty level at "Hard". Apparently it grows tall (I'm not seeing any sign of that yet) and also it says it is prone to
molds and mildew. Keeping my ventilation level on the higher side. I always like a challenge so I figured I would give it a try. 😁
Day 16 Gave the girls some water today. Did a very mild feeding of fox farms grow big for it's first feeding, 1 teaspoon per 1 gallon. After mixing up the solution I set the water ph to 6.5.
Each pot took approx 1/4 gallon. 😎
Day 17 So today I transplanted the girls into their final containers, 7 gallon pots filled with fresh fox farms ocean forest soil. I'm surprised at how extensive the root system already is after only 2 plus weeks. Probably should have transplanted a few days earlier. After I prepared the new soil and the hole that the plant would fit into, I generously sprinkled the bottom and inside wall with Great White Granular, it really seems to help promote healthy roots and minimize any transplant shock. I also use it on my clones. (More on that in approx 6 more weeks 😉) Transplanting went well, no hitches. I think these girls are going to start taking off in the next few days!
Day 18 All looks well, no sign of any transplant shock. They're actually growing nicely, both are measuring in at 4 1/2 inches
Day 19 Wilma seems to be the a bit bigger and grows a bit faster than Betty so far. I still see Betty at 4 1/2 inches, while Wilma is now at 5 inches tall.
Day 20 Betty now 5" and Wilma is 5 1/2" 😁
Day 22 Betty is 6" tall, and Wilma is 7"
Day 23 Gave the girls a good watering today. Each one took in 1 gallon, and I had added some fox farms grow big (1 1/2 tsp per gallon) for a light feeding. The ph of the water after the addition of the nutrients is 6.5
Noticing a little leaf edge curling on Betty. It had gotten hot here for a few days last week, 89 degrees in the tent, so I'm thinking the curling edges was from a little heat stress. The newer leaves are not showing the curling edges. Betty is 6.5" today, Wilma is 7.25"
Day 26 Betty's height is 8" , Wilma's at 9"
Day 27 Betty measures in today at 8 1/2 ", and Wilma's at 9 1/2" 😁 All is going according to plan so far.
Day 29 - Gave both of the girls a watering today. I used water that I left outside for a day and then ph'd to 6.5.
Betty is 9 1/2", Wilma is 10 1/2"
Day 30 - Betty and Wilma each grew about an inch since I watered yesterday. I'm thinking about clipping a few of the largest fan leaves from each plant tonight or tomorrow to get more light down below where some nice branches are forming. Next watering will be their first with full strength fox farms grow big. 😊
Day 31- Clipped off some of the largest fan leaves form the girls last night and a couple more today. The branches are going to be very happy.
Day 32 - The lower branches are now really growing, some are almost as tall as the main stalk. Betty's at around 12 inches, and Wilma's at around 13 inches. I'm thinking about topping the main stalk tonight on Wilma, Betty still needs to be a little bigger
Day 33 - Topped both girls tonight. Betty's at 12", Wilma's at 13 1/2" Also removed a couple more large fan leaves from each plant. Some of the branches are almost as tall as the main stalk, and will catch up quickly since I just topped them. When that happens, I'll top the branches too.
Day 34 - Looking good
Day 35 - Gave them a watering with 2 tsp Fox Farms Grow Big per gallon, ph'd to 6.5. Each plant took in 1 1/2 gallons.
Day 36 - The girls look healthy, I topped all of the upper tops tonight... Still 3 to 4 weeks of veg left.
Day 37 - The girls have no complaints.
Day 38 - Wilma is definitely the more bountiful plant of the two at this point. Betty is 13 1/2" and Wilma is 15" Defoliated a bit on the 2 girls again, getting the light down below to some of the branches
Day 39 - Plants have stalled on upward growth just a bit as expected after topping them, but the lower branches are starting to kick in.
Day 40 - All the tops that I topped (Not sure if that makes sense) are now starting to grow their new shoots. Everything still looks A-OK and I am about to water them with a good dose of just plain old fashioned H2O, ph'd to approx 6.5
Betty is 14 1/2" and Wilma is 15 1/2"
Day 41 - After watering I clipped quite a bit of fan leaves off of both plants to maximize light to the lower nodes. In another couple of days I'll remove a bit more, don't want to take too much at once and shock the girls.
Betty's at 15" and Wilma's at 16"
Day 42 - Upward growth has still pretty much stalled after the topping and defoliation, but I see new growth finally starting to kick in.
Day 43 - Watered the girls today. I was surprised that they were thirsty again so soon, but I guess that's a good thing 😁 I added 2 tsp Fox Farms Grow Big per gallon of water.
Day 44 - I've got some happy looking girls today, which always makes me happy too. Betty's still lagging, hanging at 15" and Wilma is at 17"
Day 45 - Finally starting to see some decent new V shaped branches at the top sites. Double the pleasure, double the fun. 😀
Day 46 - The girls are looking very healthy. Betty's at 16 1/4" and Wilma's at 18"
Day 47 - Watered again today, also defoliated a bit more. 6.5ph as always, just water today.
Day 48 - Don't they always look happy after a good watering 😁 Betty's at 17" and Wilma's at 19"
Day 49 - Continued growth and good health. Betty's now at 17 1/2" and Wilma's at 19 1/2"
Day 50 - Week 8 is starting. I'm really surprised by how squat and bushy this chemdawg is. There's a ton of tops between the two girls. Looking forward to putting them to flower soon. Also, I'm
planning on taking a couple of clones from each plant and starting them in the Clone King. I might do that tonight. 😳
Day 51 - Watered the girls tonight and fed them some Fox Farms Grow Big, 2 tsp per gallon. After adding the nutrients, I ph'd to 6.5. They took in 1 1/2 gallons each. Also, I took 2 clones from each girl
and started them in my clone king aeroponic cloner. I also started a new diary to document the cloning process as well as the results. 🙏 Betty is currently at 18" and Wilma is at 20"

Day 109 - Getting closer
Day 110 - Some amber trichs, they're real close. I have a house guest coming on Wednesday staying through Friday, and he'll be staying in the spare room where I dry the harvest so I'm aiming for harvest next weekend after he leaves. Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!! 😁

Day 112 - Gave the girls a final defoliation in preparation of the upcoming harvest
Day 113 - Harvest in 4 days... It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas 😍
Harvest time has finally arrived. Trimmed up the two girls last night with the help of my neighbor and they are now hanging to dry a bit prior to curing. I have a humidifier running in the drying room to help slow down the process, plus the humidity here is around 30% which is lower than desired. They smell beautiful. We had just a few casualties while trimming, and those few small buds are drying on a rack to be sampled in the very near future! 😁
The wet yield including stems is a little over 28 oz.
