First grow diary ever… started the year off with 3 auto flowers which are currently flowering and just about done, waited a month then started 3 photos which are in week 3 of flowering, these 4 are my final stage of the grow this year. Currently weather is very hot and humid but all plants are doing great!! 😊
Let’s get it!! Stretched out seedlings are 2 days older than the other two. Placed them in starter cups with some Pro-Mix soil. Let’s see what they do later in the season for outdoors. Originally wanted to start this strain at the beginning of August not the end, but I think there is enough time for them to do their thing and provide some nice smokeybudz!!!
Tues 9/7 - week was up and down weather wise, had a few cloudy days with rain and humidity getting up to the lower 70s but the ladies are fairing well. All four pots had a root popping out of the bottom of it and I feel the root system is healthy - decided to give the ladies some nutrients. 1/4 gal solution spread across the 4 plants - not per plant - and 13 hours of cloudless sun for today. Remainder of solution will be used for next couple of feedings depending on if it lasts — testing this idea out.
Sunday 9/12 - been a crazy weather week, rained Thursday all day and it’s been really breezy. This time of year makes it really difficult to grow potted plants outdoors. Only fed the ladies on Tuesday, solution didn’t smell so great yesterday so I gave it to other plants.
Weather has been holding up pretty well. Couple days of the week it’s cloudy/raining but when the sun is out they are happy! Going to keep bring them inside at night for another week or until they are hardy enough for the cool nights, temps can get in to the upper 50s. Fed them Tuesday and Friday, waiting on roots to pop outside of cup to plant in bigger container, guessing in another week or two, maybe shorter now that they are getting nutes.
Transplanted plants into 7.5 gallon forever home with Fox Farms Coco Loco medium. Removed the pest moss cup cause algae was growing on outside but didn’t penetrate into medium or roots. Fed half gallon of nutrient solution to each plant. Rain is coming for a day or two. Been cloudy weather recently so plants are not getting as much sun light as I think it should. Going to keep on going and see what happens.
The girls sprung up pretty quick. Dealing with some cloudy days and a few rainy days. Two of the girls are showing sayings traits with thinner leaves and growing taller. You can tell that there was a few cloudy days cause the main stalk looks a bit stretched between nodes. The other two ladies are showing indica traits, leaves are more broad and they are not growing as vertical.
The ladies were caught in the rain for a day so I haven’t been watering them as much, Coco really holds on to water. Been a learning curve with this medium being these ladies are the first ones I have used it with. I have also been using Fox Farms Flowers Kiss as a foliage spray along with some silica and Trifecta. Trifecta is an organic essential oil pest and mold management formula that was recommended to me. Considering the time of year it is and the big weather fluctuations, I need to protect my girls. I’m trying Si for the first time to see how that works.
Overall I think they are doing great, appear to be super healthy and two of them are already flowering. The other two appear to be just starting. I am going to start bringing them in at night because the temp is getting in the mid 50s which is too cold for them.
