bring on the nutes! that poblano plant stretched to the height of the ladies lol. i removed the tomatoes behind the peppers and some of the cherry tomatoes as well
I am amazed by how quickly these Red Mandarin are going. No doubt they will be done by end of Sept. The Mighty Grape and Purple Aliens finished up their first week of flowering and havent started to frost up yet
My neighbors are at it again. I found a fully formed seed on the big Mighty Grape.
I am having issues with spider mites and thrips but I'm hoping its not going to cause to many problems, especially with things starting to cool off a bit
Things seem so have slowed down a bit. Could it be the high temps are causing this?
I gave them a few feedings this week(every other watering) with the new nutrients, I'm hoping the silica will help with the plants that are going to take into November. Not sure why I have so many plants behind this year but its going to be stressful trying to keep them alive into November
I am battling spider mites... WOMP WOMP
They messed up a back area before i noticed but i released a lot of predator mites last week and they seem to been doing a good job on those little bastards. I only have about 1-2 more weeks on the Red Mandarins so I think it will be fine. It smells so good in there between the Red Mandarin(strongest smell) and the Mighty grape(biggest plant) its amazing. I didnt give nutes to the Red Mandarins this week so they can just finish up what is already there. Its going to be a reat Choptober this year!
What to use besides predatory mites during mid-late flowering for spider mites? Anyone use Dr Zymes late in flowering? Im getting worried about my ladies
At least one more week on the Red Mandarin and 1 month on the Mighty Grape and Purple Aliens.
Still dealing with mites but things are cooling off so they are slowing down a bit. I took a couple of early branches off and are drying now. Still looks and smells amazing but the cooler temps help keep the smell from escaping my yard lol. Over all it has been a rough summer and I have learned some hard lessons to take with me for next year. I stop spraying and didnt do anything for weeks after flowering started so now im in a battle with mites. I need to get in better habits early on and keep the pest management going well into flowering
I ended up with 2 genos from the 2 seeds i cracked. Both are great and have their own qualities but one is a lot easier to trim lol. I had some issues with spider mites at the end but the plants seems like they didnt mine. I will put a total weight up once they are dry in a couple of weeks
Still battling Mites and the temps took a turn down for the week but are going to be ok for the rest of the month. I did set up the heater and ran it for a few days. I will need to keep it heated so the purple alien can finish up. Looks like its going to need well into November... but you never know how the will react when it starts to get cold. Some cultivars got the hint and push overtime to finish while others get frostbite and turn into butter lol.
I am starting to see amber on the bigger Mighty Grape(middle plant) so I might be able to chop some of it this weekend. I chopped the Red Mandarin on the earlier side so i want to let these others go as long as i can. I might harvest some of the finished buds this weekend if i see at least 15%(ish) amber so i can get into the rest when needed.
