Germination
This is my first time attempting to grow and the germination process seemed to go over smoothly. I started by putting the seeds in a glass shot for 12 hours in the dark and then transferring them to a moist paper towel and placed the paper towel with the seeds in a gallon size ziplock bag. I inflated the ziplock by blowing into it and I put the bag in the grow tent in darkness for 36 hours. I checked on them once a day to see how they were doing. Maybe I shouldn’t have done that but I was excited to see them crack the seed 😅. Anyways it went well and I potted them 4 days putting them in the shot glass. We’ll see how it goes! Ps. I forgot to take pictures during this stage so the pictures you see are from the morning after I potted them.

Week 1 went well. I couldn’t help but check on the plants all the time 😅 I watered them with distilled water by using a spray bottle and spraying till the top soil was wet and dark about 3-4 times a day. Tried to keep the humidity up around 60-70% and temps between 65-80 degrees. Planted in Fox Farms Happy Frog soil. No supplemental nutrients yet.

Week 2 went pretty smooth. I watered with nutrients on the Day 1 at 40% the recommended amount. Watered again with same nutrient/water ratio on Day 4. Not too much to report on, just watching them grow and looking for any deficiencies. One of the GG’s is definitely growing faster than the other but it’s seemed that way since the beginning. It’s twice as tall now but we’ll see if the little guy catches up later on. I reduced humidity a little bit from 70% to about 50-60%. Other than that, not much else changed. We’ll see y’all next week!

Not too much to report on. Lowered lights to about 30 inches and watered twice about 3 days apart.

This week I started off buying feeding them too much (1:2 ratio) and burning them a little. I noticed white tips on new leaves growing and next time I watered with water only, no nutes. Also noticed they are much thirstier and watering every 2 days. Towards the end of the week they seemed much happier and growing taller and taller. They started flowering white hairs and couldn’t be more excited! 🙃 I’m reducing my nutrient intensity next week and feeding 1/4 of recommended amount. See y’all next week!

Everything is moving right along! This is the last week I’ll do LST and just going to let them finish growing naturally through harvest. I’m experimenting with this as this is my first grow. What are your thoughts on this? Should I keep training all the way till the end? I wish I would’ve let them grow al natural the first time to get a good baseline for my next grow. They started putting off a nice scent and can’t wait to see how they finish growing!

This week I defoliated a bit but other than that I haven’t touched it too much. I started the week by watering with plain water and then the next 2 times with nutrients. The dwarf GG looks like it’s going to have only one good cola, the main one because it’s a pretty small plant right now compared to the other one. I have it on a shoe box to keep the canopies at the same height but I haven’t seen much growth compared to the main cola. So far I’m proud of my first grow and can’t wait to see the results!
