Here we are for the first time on Grow Diaries. Today i'm starting 4 seeds of Cookies Kush by Barney's Farm. What I do to germinate which I've had pretty much 99.5% success is drop all the seeds in a glass of water for 24 hours until they drop the bottom of the cup. By that time they will have soaked up enough water to really get started. After which i'll put them into a moist paper towel drop them into a plastic bag and put it on my seed warming pad.
Stay tuned for my next step!
24 hours later they were put into a moist paper towel then into a Ziploc bag and onto the warming pad. 24 hours after that 2 have already sprouted!
Sad to report that only 1 seedling made it. The other 3 cracked but nothing happened after that. Pretty disappointed but I've got 2 other strains started as well that's not far behind this girl. All in all i'll have a diverse room this time around.
This past week has seen an explosion of growth. The tap root has reached out of the pot and into the water. All of the new growth is very compact and heathy looking and once it gets a bit bigger Im going to raise the PPMs and send it into overdrive.
So far everyday I check this girl I almost don’t recognize it. The growth is amazing!
She saw some heat stress so the light had to be raised even though it’s an air cooled hood and the fan in the room turned on high.
By next weeks update the main lining should be started. Also changed my veg nutrients over to the Cyco Platinum series.
Sorry for the late update so for that I included a video of my grow room.
This week is the last for the horizontal growth and is is now going vertical. Can’t wait for that tall growth going forward.
Look at that Bush growth. I’m going to hold off on giving them a haircut and thinning the leaves out. They grow much quicker with that much foliage.
Next week you’re going to see quite a transformation
I wish I would of taken pics of them before I trimmed them up because they were a massive bush!!! At this point im satisfied with the number of potential cola's and size of the branches. I can already see preflowers coming from some of the nodes which is crazy because i've never seen any of plants in history doing this. Its also the first time i've taken veg past 3-4 weeks but mainlining does extend the veg time some.
Today i've switched to 12/12 so next week will be the first update of flowering!!! quite excited to finally get to this stage.
At this point I tend to thin out the bottom third of the plant but this 1000 watt light seems to be penetrating almost all the way downstairs to the bottom. I’m probably going to thin it a bit but not too excessively.
For my second week flowering those are some nice little buds.
Tragedy struck last week after not checking in on them for 3 days the PH had dropped to 3.8 somehow and I had to flush for a day start it back up on nutes.
It’s back to eating abscess the leaves stopped browning. PPms are back to 1100 and ideas doing well. I was going to do a massive trimming anyways now I know everything ehicu ones I’m going to take to take off :)
Still haven’t trimmed the leaves as much as I wanted but still good progress this week. All the buds are fattening and the crystal production has now kicked into high gear!
I still have yet to remove those bad looking leaves but at this point its not harming anyone. the buds are very dense and thickening up this week. The crystals are going in full force now as you can see by some of the photo's.
I didn't realize that i only have 2-3 more weeks before this girl is done boy does time fly!
Also the smell coming out of this room has overloaded my carbon filter and you can get a faint smell coming from the room.
