First and foremost, this will be my first autoflower attempt. After the previous grow, in which I let it get absurdly too tall, in some record heatwave here in Oregon nonetheless, I decided to go with the autos this time around. I followed the instructions as usual and soaked the seeds in room temperature bottled water for 16 hours than transferred to wet paper towel. 32 hours later they were thrown in some soil and so the journey begins.

Nothing wild this week. Just making small adjustments with the light. It's a bigger light than I'm used to so just keeping an eye out. 2 seedlings had the shell attached after 5 days so just used some small tweezers and gently got em off. Everything is as normal as you can expect in the first 7 days. Will start adding a little grow big next week.

This week my goal was to transplant into the final 3 gal pots. I know I know "Chris, you shouldn't transplant autos due to their quick cycle and risk of shock." Well transplanting is something I've always done so i'm sticking with what I'm comfortable with. Before transplant, I sprinkled some great white into the hole and directly onto the root system and hoped for the best. It wasn't as easy and it definitely wasn't as pretty as I'd hoped, but eventually it was done. Within hours, they were all perked up and looking comfy. The first watering I mixed a little more great white in . I raised the light a tad bit to actually promote more stretching because some of the plants aren't as tall as I'd hoped. I feel like it's a constant battle with this damn light. This upcoming week I'll be adding some small amounts of calmag and grow big.

Started this week with some grow big and calmag with every other watering. One of the plants was transplanted poorly (I knew it when I did it, like I said last week, it was ugly) and the stem was growing horizontally rather than vertically. I stuck a tie under there to prop it up than figured I'd tie down the rest while I'm at it. Still rockin that blue light veg switch on the light.

This week was just alot of tying down of the branches. Also cut some of the bigger fan leaves that were blocking the light. The colors are telling me that flowering is right around the corner. It would have helped tremendously if I was able to keep the plants centered when transplanting, but as you can see, they clearly are not. The main colas are starting to bump into the sides of the pot so I'm going to cut the top side of the pots to make em even with the dirt. This upcoming week I'm planning on turning on the bloom switch (red lights) and add 2 tsps of Tiger Bloom to the mix. Next week begins the flowering portion. Wish me luck!

This week I started adding the tiger bloom and cut back on the grow big. I also clicked on the bloom light. By the next day I could see a difference. Still continuing to LST the branches sticking up too high but thinking of cutting back on that as well. When i first began the LST I thought to myself "this isn't too bad." But now I'm constantly doing it, sometimes after a few hours and the branches aren't bending as easy anymore and I know with my luck I'll probably break one clean off. The smell is surprising. When I open the tent, there's no disguising what's in it anymore. I have a scrog net on standby and in a prefect world I'll put it on and have wonderful colas sticking out everywhere. But rarely do things go as planned so we shall just wait and see....🤞

This week was alot of defoliation. I've removed alot of the wiring holding down the main branches to allow them to grow a bit more vertically rather than horizontally. I know there's an argument on both sides whether to hst an auto but I just figured if a leaf is blocking something important, well than I'll just remove said leaf. I also removed some of the weaker lower sites on every plant cuz why waste energy on them. Everything I do is a learning experience anyway. Last week I cut some of the pots because the plants were too low and bumping into the sides, so I raised the smaller pots with some wood blocks to even out the canopy. Raised the tiger bloom and cal mag levels at the beginning of this week and havent noticed any negative effects. Still learning as I go but so far so good 👍.

Well, for the most part it was a pretty calm and uneventful week. It's around this week where I started to realize that maaaaybe 5 plants in the 3x3 was a bit, let's say, overzealous. Should I have done all 5? Nah...probably not but hey what are you gonna do. The leaves are getting real crystally and the ladies are growing fairly quick. I still have alot of the branches tied down but not nearly as many. Kind of just letting em grow taller rather than wider. Raised the light a tad to make sure I'm not stressing em out with the heat. They are definitely in need of watering more often but all in all it's just a normal ol week.

This week I decided to give the ladies a nice grooming. I took em out of the tent one by one to cut the lower sites and bigger leaves blocking other sites and to basically just clean them up. They had become quite bushy and hitting the sides of the tent. So far all 5 have been really healthy so I'm not too concerned about them handling the stress. I noticed in the better light that some of the leaves on 2 plants showed signs of what looked to be an excess in calcium levels. My last plant had a calcium deficiency so I think I over did it from the fear of my previous mistake. I dropped the calmag from 2 tsp to .5. One of the plants had what I can best describe as a metallic smell to it. The progress this week was crazy. Every day the buds were forming more and more. They are taking shape just the way I had in mind before this journey began.

Everything's growing as good as I could have hope for by this stage. Other than that little cal mag OD, all has been good. Still using .5 tsp of calmag to the watering. These plants are so small, dense and compact its crazy. Real convenient for a 3 by 3 tent. The one plant that's ahead of the others will definitely have to be harvested first. Plant 2 is showing signs of being a hermie. There's some balls growing under alot of the colas. Cutting em off as I see em. Not the end of the world, not like I'm growing a farm here. Hopefully all continues to go well. 🙏

This week not much was done. No defoliating. No LST. No nothing really. I can’t stress enough how dense these plants are. When you give them a slight squeeze, it’s all so solid. I can’t get over how much smaller these autos are. I was worried a few weeks back about overcrowding the tent but as I have been defoliating, there are no worries at all. I recently got a jewelers loupe to check the trichomes and all 5 plants are still pretty clear. Hoping within a couple weeks, the trichomes will be the milky white I’m looking for and the growing part will be concluded.

All watering for this last week has just been with regular ol water. Cut out the Tiger bloom and Cal Mag and just flushing them out. When I use the jewelers loupe, I can see that over 90% are the perfect milky white and the other 10% has nice little amber heads. The plants aren’t absorbing much water anymore, as it takes a couple days now for the water to go away. Some yellowing of leaves. Orange hairs curling under themselves. Milky white trichs. I was expecting to begin the harvest process at around week 9 of flower but looks like they wanted to be a bit early. This will most likely be the last pics of them in the pot and hopefully next week they’ll all be hanging neatly in the same tent they grew in. I’m planning on leaving them in 24 hours darkness for the last couple days than it’s time to face the trimmers. Coming up to the end of the road.

Still flushing with plain ol water. They’ve been in dark with no watering the last 72 hours. The smell is crazy. Trichomes are all milky white with a few amber thrown in there. I was more concerned with harvesting too early than too late. Leaves are turning yellow. The time has come. All signs lead to chopping these girls down. Seeing as they are so small and compact, I’m planning on drying these pigmy plants whole in the same tent they grew up in. When I’m done writing this, I’m gonna cut off the bigger fan leaves, chop em at the base, throw the entire plant on some hangers and start the drying process.

This strain was just what I was looking for. After the previous trauma of letting my plant grow WAY too tall, I went into this grow looking for something much shorter and manageable and this was exactly it. The tying down at times were a pain, but one of those things that’s better in the long run. The transplanting kind of screwed me up a bit. Not only did I not really fill the pot enough, but I put them in horribly. The soil was falling apart and it was just an ugly mess. Trying to OD the plants wasn’t part of the plan either but they bounced back just fine. All in all it was a very easy strain to grow. The dry amounts of each plant are as follows. Plant 1: 48.2 grams. Plant 2: 51.8 grams. Plant 3: 46.4 grams. Plant 4: 50.1 grams and Plant 5: 51.2 grams for a total of 196.4 grams (7.8 oz’s)
