Squidwich 9/3/2021 (V7) - Going to continue using "H3ad's" coco formula (6 ml FloraMicro/9ml FloraBloom) for this grow. Starting with low dose and steadily increasing to full dose. Going to ramp up light intensity as well, and right now it's around 7500 lux as measured with phone app. Tentative plan is to attempt to follow Nebula Haze's Manifold technique to get 8 huge and symmetrical colas per plant at the end. Still researching it though. So excited for this grow. Hoping that classic strains are classic strains for a reason.

Squidwich 9/10/2021 (V14) - Only watering with nutrient solution every other day for now, perhaps this promotes root growth? Next feed will have full strength nutes. Should really transplant to 1 gallon soon. 4 nodes and counting on both plants. Need 2 more nodes for topping procedure according to Nebula's manifolding technique. Light intensity at 18000 lux.

Squidwich 9/17/2021 (V21) - Transplanted from solo cups to 1 gallon fabric pots. Once both plants had 6 nodes, topped both at 3rd node to begin manifold. Still wary of getting rid of nodes 1 and 2 but going to pull the trigger maybe tomorrow? Also, have to do some LST on top node to get it as horizontal as possible, but the stems are pretty short still. Lot of wasted veg growth here and hope manifold approach will pan out. Nutrient solution now at full strength and lux intensity at 25,000. Going to make final transplant from 1 gallon to 3 gallon pots when there's some visible roots poking out of 1 gallon bag.

Squidwich 9/24/2021 (V28) - Mistakes were made this week. Crack on stem joint of main two branches of left plant developed during LST and it appears to be lagging behind other plant because of this. Afraid to do more LST because of this but it looks to be healing slowly. Right plant fuckup occurred couple nights ago after drinking incident where I impulsively decided to do more toppings on node 1. Think it should be 12 main tops after this change. Bad grower! Should have stuck to plan. Sometime earlier this week, topped to 3rd node on both branches and removed node 2 as well, following Nebula's manifold instructions. Lux intensity now at 35k.

Squidwich 10/1/2021 (V35) - Finally did some much needed LST with binder clips and soft ties while attempting to get all the tops at an even level. Plants only 1/2 inch taller than last week due to the LST. There should only be 8 tops on the left plant so messed up somewhere along the line. Plant on right seems to be in an ideal rectangular shape, but plant on left is more compact with stubby stems so can't spread them out more yet. Defoliated a few big fan leaves at the bottom of both plants, and did some leaf tucking as well just to expose the tops more. Also, transplanted from 1 to 3 gallon fabric pots about 6 days ago. Light intensity now at 45000 lux.

Squidwich 10/17/2021 (F7) - Flipped to flower after 44 days of vegetative state. Due to height difference, had to place shorter plant on left on top of tupperware container to even out the canopy and get equal light distribution. Plants grew 10+ inches since last week with lots of offshoot branches needing to be chopped. Constant high humidity (>70%) for past couple weeks and hope it drops soon, always worried about mold issue even with the fans blasting them. Only feeding them every other day because of laziness and the humidity. Light intensity now at 80000 lux.

Squidwich 10/24/2021 (F14) - Plant on right side of tent is at 30" vs 25" for left plant. Hope they don't grow much more since tent isn't that tall. Disappointed the canopy isn't even so there's a few branches not getting at much light as they should, and they could be getting the chop. Plants were defoliated/lolipopped a couple days ago. No sign of nutrient burn from the newly added Liquid KoolBloom.

Squidwich F35 (11/14/2021) - Sorry for not updating in few weeks. Phone died and had to wait for new phone. Hope pics are better now. Grow running on autopilot now. Watering every other day for most part and plants don't seem to mind. Not the best practice but humidity not that low yet. Dropped rapidstart from nute mix since that ran out and seemed unnecessary at this point anyhow. Taller plant on right now at 38" compared to the 32" left plant. Lights only 4" from canopy and surprised they're not showing any bad signs (bleaching?). Light intensity now at 100,000 for the tallest tops and that's the limit for this grow and won't be turned higher. Some branches especially in the tent front and back look like they're going to fall and seem to be supported by the tent. Should have used the scrog in the beginning so may have to resort to those ugly, yellow yoyo's soon. Happy that humidity is dropping! Hoping it goes down further but may have to use the noise machine of a dehumidifier to ensure it goes down to the 30s.

Squidwich 11/21/2021 (F42) - Plant on left seems to be prematurely yellowing and losing leaves already. Had to pluck a bunch off and that may be the source of the sudden influx in gnats. Pesky buggers. Yellow sticky doing it's job, but may have to sprinkle some diatomaceous earth and maybe mosquito bits in there to supplement it. Also, some sugar leaves on plant on right are looking burnt. Think this from the liquid koolbloom. It's already at highest dose at 2.5ml/gallon so not going to bother adjusting it. Front branch already leaning over when tent opened so it's leaning on tent flap when closed. Really have to find those support yoyos. They're fattening up!

Squidwich 11/28/2021 (F49) - Strung up a couple yoyos for added support (can kind of see them in pics). Should really have removed some of the yellow/dying sets of leaves on the left plant for the photo aesthetics, but it does show the marked contrast with the plant on right. Pistils are still standing tall and straight, so going to wait until they start curling a bit before switching to dry koolbloom, but they are starting to change colors. Didn't have a chance to view the trichomes yet, but maybe 2-3 weeks until harvest??? Running dehumidifier now and ramped up the tent exhaust couple notches to get humidity low.

Squidwich 12/5/2021 (F56) - Not yet at ripening stage? Thought we'd see them plump up a bit more by now, but did have to support a few more branches with yoyos. This is their 3rd week on highest liquid koolbloom dose (2.5ml/g) and will probably switch to the dry koolbloom in couple days. Really want this stuff in jars before christmas (got some visitors coming). Don't know if that'll happen. For the kief extraction, followed instructions on video at https://www.growweedeasy.com/dry-ice-hash, using 2 bubble bags - 90 micron and 220 micron. Would have used the 75 micron instead of 90, but that bag is still gunked up from using ice+water extraction method. Pinched apart 2.7 oz of bud and mixed with 3 lb of dry ice in 5 gallon bucket (probably could have used 4 oz product with this amount of dry ice). End kief amount was 6 grams from 90 micron bag and 20 grams from 220 bag. Jammed kief into pollen press, tightened, placed press in oven at 250F for 10 minutes, and then tightened press again. Not sure of this last part. Don't think most put in oven, but it worked. Needed some jars free for this harvest anyhow.

Squidwich 12/12/2021 (F63) - Buds are bending over from their weight and had to add more yoyos for support. Only have 1 more yoyo so might have to buy more. Scrog really would have come in handy at this point. On F59 switched to ripening stage of nutrients so no more calmag or armor si, and also switched from liquid koolbloom to dry koolbloom. Still have to fix or buy another USB camera microscope for the trichome photos, but pistil hairs are still straight so have some time.

Squidwich 12/19/2021 - Got new USB microscope to check trichomes, and, nope, they're still not ready. Really hoped for the frosty appearance on the buds where the strain's name originates, but not seeing it. Supposed to be 8 week flower and this is week 10 already, and, unless things progress rapidly, looks like they have > 2 weeks left.

Squidwich 12/26/2021 (F77) - Close enough, right? Trichomes milky/cloudy for the most part and some hints of amber, so just might get the chop within the week. Getting impatient with the grow. Plant #2 (i.e., plant on right) still has majority of white pistil hairs showing, though, and this is major reason to hold off on harvest. Maybe still time for calyxs to swell more and envelop the pistils? Tentative plan is to give them 2 more days of nutes and start flushing with florakleen after that. Might give them more dark time - 13-14 hours? Also, added more yoyos.

Squidwich 1/1/2022 (F83/Chop day/Drying day 1) - Used same nutes as last week for 3 days then switched to FloraKleen flush for last 3 days. Had to keep picking away the dying and dead leaves or it'd spoil the harvest, but at least trimming these colas looks like it'll be easy and fast. Plant on left had shorter, but wider and heavier colas than plant on right. Harvest weight guesses: left plant = 10 oz. and right plant 7 oz? Really hoping for > 1 lb total especially with the almost 12 week flower time. Going to attempt to extend drying time for at least a week. Have to get more mason jars and fumigate the place. Nothing stealthy about the smell right now. Got 2 jars of the odor removing gel (Fresh wave w/ lavender scent) going and just wasted 1/2 can of febreze. First time using mainlining technique and botched the execution on this grow. Can only expect to do better on the next one.

Squidwich Fuck me. Got mold in plant #2 during a winter grow. 5 out of 11 colas were affected with the weed plague even with a dehumidifer running in room and humidity not going above 50% in tent for past 2 months? Even the jarred salvageable weed from that plant is questionable and probably will be tossed. Not sure if plant #1 is safe to use, but definitely won't give that to anyone. This is entire reason I don't grow in spring/summer and am totally confused how it happened in this grow. Buds from plant #1 were ideal in density, whereas diseased plant #2 was much more airy/fluffy and notably required 6 mason jars for it's 4+ oz. Also should have trimmed at 7 days of drying instead of 8 for plant #2 since it dried up faster and now requires boveda packs to get jar humidity up. Massively disappointed in this grow and will probably rethink my strategy of growing large buds. Didn't think you'd have to worry about mold with low to moderate humidity. This strain is definitely not mold resistant. Fuck.

I am just rolling onto week 2 with my seedsman white widow seeds. your plants are significantly larger. are you really giving them nutrients at week 2?? and whats the reason for using so much bloom in the seedling stage? Your plants are looking crazy already man happy growing

@GreatWhiteNorth, Hiya. Using "H3ad's formula" which is 6 ml micro / 9 ml bloom (and skips FloraGro) almost from start to finish, and it's a bit different than the normal GH flora series drain-to-waste schedule. Wasn't quite at full strength during week 2 and had to ramp it up slowly to that level. Best of luck with your grow.

Hey there IMHO I wouldn't change the light cycle now. Your plants are used to there schedule and changing it would cause major stress and run the risk of self pollination ie nanners. I've done it and every time I ended up with stressed out plants that wanted to pollinate themselves in a last ditch effort to preserve genetics CHEERS!!!

Good looking ladies there 🙂. Enjoy your hard work it's beautiful.
