First week since germination, growing organic using nutes from Bio-Bizz and Growth Technology.
The first weeks the T5 LightWave 4x24W flourescent was hanging about 45 cm above the soil (lowering it later).
Temp and humidity is about 29.3C/84.74F and RH 37%, nighttemp is 20.3C/69.62F and RH 17%.
Let's get it on! :)
A new week! :)
Everything looks just fine, temp and RH looks great, maintaining the watering of the Blueberry every 3 days.
Just one major change, I've lowered the lights til about 15 cm above her.
Yet another wonderful week arrives!! :)
Keeping everything up as usual, nothing new, nothing changed - as long as she lookes as good as she does, don't fuck it up! :D
More lumen is coming...soon! ;)
An exiting week!! :)
Changes - BIG changes is happening this week!!! I'm installing a 400W HPS on day 3, it's gonna be a significant increase of temperature for the Blueberry, during lighthours the temperature rise to 40C/104F and RH remains at around 20%. The HPS is hanging about 50cm above her, but since I've also installed a regular fan and increased the speed of the ventilation fan, the amount of air that passes through the enclosure races away as well, so it's all good!
Well, see you again next week!
Yet another wonderful week is here!!
I'm really happy to see my girl grow so much now using a 400W HPS instead of LightWave T5 4x24W flourescent, even though the FL is a great veglamp from germination and at least 1 month, and since she was looking really fine, I wasn't worried about anything except the HEAT!
As you all can see from my pics, the daytemp gets up quite a lot compared to the temp using FL, but she still looks awesome and she grows a lot everyday. Really wish I had a BIG growing room so I could put my shades on and spend some time with her, talk about life and how happy she is gonna make me! :D
Anyway, I hope you enjoy my diary! Stay tuned for more updates... :)
Oh yeah, one more thing, since I installed the HPS I've been watering my girl every second day and 1 liter instead of 0.5 liter.
Week 7 begins in vegmode :)
As I suspected the heat takes it's toll on my girl, she likes the sun but there's a limit to everything.... So now I'm gonna let her rest and relax 2 days (added some new fresh soil and mixed it into the old and fed her with nutes and water, and tomorrow I'm gonna repeat the procedure, more soil and more water), and only use the T5's instead of the HPS.
Since I'm gonna let her veg full 8 weeks before putting her into flowering, I'm gonna slowly decrease the hours with the HPS lamp, but still keep the T5's on the entire 18 hours, mainly because to ease the stress and softly let her go into flowering.
Week 8 :)
Last week in vegetation is here, and some things has come up. I've been using the autowatering system now for about 5 days (when I write this it's tuesday), and during these days my plants have been growing a lot - nothing wrong with that at all, it just makes me even more happy - but she's been getting some burns on some of her leafes, and I'm actually not sure why, either it's some kind of burn from the nutes or maybe from the HPS..? The last 24 hours I've not been using the HPS, and today I flushed the plants, and also cleaned the enclosure properly with water and a mild detergent - and now I'm gonna try using the HPS again and see if she recovers. Besides that, she looks awesome and grows great!
Week 9!
I haven't been able to update this diary as much as I wanted to this week due to some work with the growroom, the HPS 400W is gone and has made room for an Apollo 10 LED! So now the temperature has dropped significantly, but not at the cost of lumen! :)
Besides the change of lights, I've defoliated and fim'ed her a bit and now she'll get some rest until sunday, and after that I'm putting her into flowering with 12/12 light cycle.
I'm so excited!! :)
WEEK 10 - Time to put my girl into flowering! :)
As from today, I'm changing the light cycle to 12/12, and for the following 8-9 weeks things REALLY gonna happen! Comparing the size between the Therapy and the Blueberry, I don't know what to believe - the Therapy is a LOT bigger, she's just awesome! Hopefully my BlueBerry will produce a large yield as well, so let's just see how she develops.
Also started adding Bio-Bloom today (4ml/l).
Week 11 / 2nd week in flowering
I just love the way she gorws, I haven't had the time this week to check them up every day, so imagine the surprise when I open up the doors and get totally astonished over what happened just during 3 days! Awesome! Love her!
Did some defoliation on wednesday, just so the flowers lower down also gets some sweet lumen.
Week 12 / 3rd week in flowering! :)
I've been away over the weekend, and getting back home made me just as happy as always! She's looking great!
Added some new photos and a video, showing my girls! :) Enjoy! :D
Week 13 / ¤th week in bloom! :)
The only thing I've noticed, except that she's just keeps getting bigger and bigger for each week, espacially the buds, is that the leaftips has gotten yellow out on the very tips, is it normal or do I need to do something about it? I'm a newbie at this so I'm still learning.
Besides that she's gorgeous, the color of the Blueberry's leafes have a little darker green/blueish color than the CBD Therapy so it's nice to actually see some difference between them. I just wish it would be time for harvest soon... But I'll just stick to waiting, she still got around 4-5 week until harvest, I'm super stoked to see how big her buds will be! ;)
Week 14 / 5th week in bloom!
Removed Root-Juice and Bio-Heaven. If you look very close on the photos or on the video, you can see the burnt tips, but since I haven't seen anything else bad or miscoloring, I'm just gonna give her fresh water and no nutrients for a couple of days. She is sharing tray with my CBD Therapy, and her leaftips looks better, even though I've seen a few burnt tips there as well.
Week 15 / 6th week in bloom :)
One more week done, and even closer to harvest! Both my girls are looking great and starting to smell quite strong, I just love it!
Week 17!
I know my update is late and over due, but I've been really busy. But my girls still get the love they need and deserves!
The buds are getting bigger, thicker and more compact for each day, the smell is kind of hard to determine since she is sharing space with the CBD Therapy, but she smells great, they both are! :-D
A good strain to grow and easy to take care of.
Pretty good yielder with a lot of sugarcovered buds.
I don´t know what´s on the scales yet, but i´ll uppdate you when its watercured and dryed.
It´s a slow starter that loves LST, fiming, defoliation and topping.
When it starts to blom it picks up the pace.
Use nutrients carefully in the beginning and increase.
This is my first cannabisgrow, so if I can do it and succseed means that everyone can do it.
I just love to look at her after defoliating her yesterday! She looked so sad after we cut off her leaves and fim'ed her, totally naked and so vulnerable, but today she really smiles up at me when i look at her, I just love her! ;) No matter what I do to her, she lets me- just because she trusts me :)
Since the girl has been growing nice and I want to maximize the yield, I defoliated her today and did some low stress training. The upcoming days will be very interesting, really looking forward to see how she developes! :) I also fim'ed her, so the future looks... well AWESOME!
After 2 days of rest, she seems to have regained some health, I still need to find a way to lower the temp inside the growing room, so it will probably end up with an investment in LED instead of HPS. Let's see what happens in the near future, but for now she seems ok, tomorrow I'll start using the HPS again, but not full 18 hours, decreasing to 15 hours with HPS but still 18 hours with T5... :)
@nicogm, No, i haven´t tried it.
But in the future i will grow it, im a big fan of the CBD-Crew.
I think a have to order it so i can start it when the new growroom build is finnisht.
@nicogm,Thanks, i´m very pleased with the yield.
A lot more then i ever tought i be yielding on my first ever grow.
But now i have a lot of medicine that last me to the next harvest.
@ClubRiot, Thanks.
It was my first ever cannabisgrow so i´m very pleased with the outcome of it.
Take a look att the cbd Therapy to, i grew them side by side.
Leaf tips can get burnt by nutrient burn , but it's not serious , as long as you careful , normally the leaves at the bottom start to yellow first , then eventually most of the rest . Flushing will get a few more ( not now in a few weeks )
@CBD_Sweden,different strains need different amounts , I found that with my Moby dick XXL , it didn't like full sunshine , and was so sensitive to ph , thought it was going to die on me once or twice 😊
@CBD_Sweden,hi let me explain - leaf tips are very succeptable to nutrient burn , bleaching , drying out , crispening up , turning brown ,turning up , turning down , folding in .... the list continues , there are many reasons little changes can happen, but in my experience I always manage to do something to them 👍 The weed will turn out fine , if you take a picture without the led on then I can have a better look 👍
@BigDaddyK, yeah - I forgot to mention - my CBD Therapy is getting the exact same amount of nutrients and water, but she looks great and with no signs of anything yellow on the leaves or the tips...
How high does the temp go ? Do you have an extractor fan ? Just looking at your lower leaves , is there enough airflow ? A little fan inside gives good circulation and a little breeze which the plants love, I used to have issues with temperatures until I installed a 5 inch extraction fan . Happy growing 👍Ps don't overwater , they like it to dry out ..
@CBD_Sweden, if I'm honest I think I bought a shit light , they have come so far since then, there is a guy on here who makes his own cobb lights , I think they are the way forward 👍
@BigDaddyK, I agree! The led's doesn't consume as much power and they definetly don't generate heat the same way as HPS does, but still produce a insane amount of lumen. I'm not sure yet how it Will work out for me, but I'm gonna try it. How come it didn't work out for you, what happened?
@CBD_Sweden, the hps do run a lot hotter , I couldn't get led s to work for me , but there are a few on here that have got amazing results , better yields than hps, @Tang is the master , I think the future may we'll be led 👍
@HerrnLubitz98, I have an outtake fan/filter already, otherwise it would be incredibly hot inside, I also have an tablefan mounted inside the enclosure so the air keep circulating, but I'm gonna put some extra cooling fans (PC-fans) to force some extra air in. I'm pretty certain that I won't be getting any troubles with mold or other pests since the ventilation and air circulation is good. and since my girl doesn't seem to have any difficults with the heat so far (or the low RH) I'll just stay with the equipment I use at the moment. I'll post a pic so you can see how it looks inside :)
@CBD_Sweden, as the hot air will stay in the upper part of your box you should have an outtaking fan and maybe you can lower the temp by putting frozen towels infront of your fan the air will get really cold haha but Keep an eye for mold you shoud Change the towels frequently if you want to try..also the drop from day to night shouldnt be higher than I'd say 15F? cuz it can slow down the growth..you'll find a way mate and ill think of some ways to cool your room aswell. Good luck Buddy!🙏💪
@BigDaddyK, No it dosen´t. They are not water-soluble and dont fall of if the buds only are submerged in room temperatured water.
But if you have icecold water and have the water in motion the crystals fall of like when you make bubblehash.
The same happens when you have cured buds in a bag and shake it, but if its not shaken they stay on the bud.
@BigDaddyK, it´s when you submerged your buds when you harvest under water for 4-6 days and change water 2 times a day.
You cut the girls down and trim it and then emmediate submerge them under wather.
It´s to get out all salts, minerals, chlorophyl and other things that not good for you and to have a cleaner smoke.
When you do it like this you dont get backstoned or get headache of the impurity in the buds and chlorophyl.
Its to get the cleanest medicine possible.
The drying process is done in 2 days with a fan blowing from below at moskitonets with the cannabis on it.
Then its cured and ready to medicate with.
I wrote some in my other diaries, the CBD-Therapy.
@BigDaddyK,To learn something new every day is the right way to walk thru life and to develop as a human being.
i´ll think thats something to try.
You can start small and take 2 buds from the same plant with the same size and watercure one of them and aircure the other and then test them and make youre own opinion about the smoke and how it feels.
The downside is less bag apeal, less weight and less smell/taste.
But for me it´s not a downside when it´s purer and smother.
So if it´s for youre self and medicine, watercuring is the way to go i think.
But if it´s to sell and make money or for the looks, smell and taste you better go with air cured.
And if you go with the watecuring you dont need to flush the plant before harvest and can grow with nutes to the end.
But i flushed them for a week before harvest to be on the safe side.
And you save a lot of time if you compere watercuring vs aircuring, and you can grow bigger plants with nutes to the end in the same time as when your flushing your plants the last 1 or 2 weeks before harvest.
watercuring= 1 week from harvest untill smoking VS aircuring= at least 3 weeks of curing and open and close lids or bags all the time.
