Humidity Dome / Heat Mat @75f
Water for Spray Bottle & Rockwool: PH 6.0 / Dechlorinated / Photosynthesis Plus
Fingers crossed for that "first grow with no issues"! 🤞🙏🌱🚀
~~~~~~~~~~
3 germinated in three days - the other 2 by the following morning!
Week One Down
Time for Acclimation Nutrients!
Could have turned the heat pad off a couple days earlier - starting to think that they just aren't worth the effort. Seems like if you have all your ducks in a row, it isn't needed - though it does present issues if left on after roots pop out the rockwool. Root rot / lockout etc. Trading an extra day (if that?) for potential problems? Ya, that doesn't make sense to me. I will test the next grow without and most likely stop using.
Seedlings are ready!
Just waiting another day and a half for the SuperSilverHaze OG to finish flushing in the 8x4, and then these gals will get transplant
~~~~~~~~~~
Seedlings have been transplanted! Looking very healthy, and hungry! 🚀
Time for more nutes! Roots are about to take off 🚀🚀🚀 (The last two days has shown a huge uptick in growth!)
We are about one week behind due to the last grow taking a little longer than expected - but all seems fine. Water could be chilled a little better, but with dropping the water level, it shouldn't matter anymore as with my previous grows. Microbe parties are starting to show themselves.
Water level is now at 3g (2'' from netcup) - future grows I will be using smaller buckets for the first two weeks of veg, so as to save some time/effort/monies (2-3.5gl buckets)
Will be time for LST / Tie-Downs soon!
Allowing them grow into 15'' from lamp from here on.
Noticed one gal spit out an extra leaf-set and auxiliary! Neeto!?...Do I go for 9...or 12??? 😜
~~~~~~~~~~
Top / Defol Time! Could wait a bit longer but they are starting to look a little cramped so I jumped on it now. Not getting enough airflow on the end so I threw in another small fan to keep things circulating!
Took off the two bottom sets of fan leaves / larf. All set to start stretching a bit! Roots are exploding!
Decided to train them the same as the OG kush in my first grow - two tops, off 4 sets of branches, instead of the typical three tops off 2 sets of branches. This should save us a week (although less stable - this grow I'm hoping all will be relatively the same height and allow for a trellis! Otherwise its back to Rope / Ties / Yoyo's!)
(Gal with the 3 leaf-set was getting a bit cramped - thinking that she was a little airflow-deprived, so she got the extra fan! Same top method as the others but since she has an extra auxiliary, its 3 up top / 2 below for a 10 set)
~~~~~~~~~~
Mornings / Nights are starting to get cold here in MO, and being up in a 2nd story room - temperature's have started to hike into the 80's. I let it go for awhile but now its pushing 90.
Time to switch back to venting the AC directly into the tent space* & get back down to 76-82f.
Gals have been a bit mad at me the last week or so (the indoor heat is making things a bit stuffy as we head towards colder weather). But alas - a little temperature correction, (some new air pumps as well), and we are back on track! 🌱🚀👌
For those who didn't follow my previous grows - I use a relief duct to keep away too much positive pressure when venting the AC directly into the grow space. Yes we are positive, but only slightly. Fan in front of the duct for when it rains and the RO spikes - turn on the fan and get it back down to where I need it, cloth cover over duct when the fan is not in use.
~~~~~~~~~~
Last round of tie downs!
All set for some veg-stretch!
Upcoming Defoliation, and some LST by hand, to help further open up the satellite branches.
Up till now I have only taken a couple center leaves as I go, as well as implemented some good ole leaf tucking - to help keep the plants from becoming too cramped, or worse case - create a stagnant pocket of air & allow for powdery mildew!
Its all pretty pictures from here :)
~~~~~~~~~~
Defol! Bye bye lower canopy.
~~~~~~~~~~
Where the Hiaku contest at??? 😂😂😂
One gal is looking hungry up top, I will adjust my late veg nutes slightly. Thinking that letting them get to 15" from lamp this early is a mistake, best to stay at 18-20. Leaves got a little unhappy when some rain hit as well - no humidistat to kick off my humidifier (will get one in the next week or two*)
Did away with another layer from the bottom - bye bye larf!
If all goes well we may flip to flower next week!
Tie downs come off in a couple days!
Had a lot going on the last week and forgot to throw in the CO2 generator - all set now.
All seems to be going well. Should start to see our first pistils soon!
~~~~~~~~~~
15'' from lamp from here on.
No more root Stimulator
Good defol all around. Should have gotten to the big gal sooner, but wanted to get it all done at once - manage my time as best I can!
Last week for Silica! (Would normally go one more week as per the feed chart, but I'm keeping these gals on track with the other 2 in the smaller tent for convenience.
No more Silica
Doubled up on Liq. KoolBloom
Normally these would be next week as per the feed chart, but to keep it simple and mix only once - decided to do it now.
~~~~~~~~~~
Plants are looking good - pistil growth is coming along nicely.
~~~~~~~~~~
Some red hairs popping up on one end of the tent, on the side near the vivosun tent. Hoping that these are natural reds, but being my luck, they are probably pollinated - from the Alien Rock Candy, we'll know soon enough. This is the only spot I can find in the entire tent for the moment, right where the fan is pointed. Normally I'd pull some hairs and keep her focused on flowering, but its the whole frickin nug. Don't want to chop it off either (and any others that might pop up later as well) and risk herming the plant. Not all that upset about it though, maybe it yields a nice cross? - two big names, so I wouldn't be surprised.
Keeping one tent closed off at a time now, tweezers and water bottle on hand. Try and mitigate any potential pollen spread that I can.
Buds are starting to come together nicely! Will start ripening late this week or next!
Haven't shown much of the runt in the other tent till now, she's doing well - just shorter than the rest.
~~~~~~~~~~
Accidentally broke a primary satellite branch when doing some work in the tent :((( was the sativa prominent pheno, she is quite a bit thinner than the rest - and not too happy about her bud weight. Barely tapped her and she snapped right in half. (I probably should have just propped her up and let her keep going, I was simply beat from the day) Opted for snip / dry
Luckily, we are heading towards ripen so there is some bud on it to smoke or extract - smells killer, and absolutely covered in trichomes!
Start of ripening, tapering off primary nutrients.
Some tie downs / pipe cleaners for support as we pack on more weight
~~~~~~~~~~
Good defol for light pen / airflow, and to assist with bud swell!
Moved one of the gals into the 3x2, other project got the chop so now I have some more room to work with
Lookin good! Smells Killer!
~~~~~~~~~~
Nice and cloudy, showing some amber! Will be time for flush this weekend.
The Sativa dominant pheno toppled on me last night, just ONE day before flush / 4 before the chop. So close! Will be really nice once I get hydrobuckets going and no longer have to constantly move netcups, and will be able to trellis. Luckily this strain is quite flavorful already, no flush should hardly be noticed.
~~~~~~~~~~
3 day flush and these gals get the chop!
GH Florakleen @5ml per gal

Very impressed with these gals!
Looks Great ~ Smells Great ~ Tastes Great
We flowered with 1 XS2000 - split the garden between two tents for easier access mid-grow. Diary won't allow for adjusting so the stats are a little off.
The Sativa prominent pheno was less woody and HEAVYILY smells of pine - very nice!
Total: 241.9g Bud / 24.6g Kief
6.8g's of shatter - pulled from ~half jar of shake (post trim-bin)
Just the tiniest bit of chlorophyl taste this time around. Will lower my temp and stretch out my evap time a bit - should be just about perfect! Will do me well until I can snag bubblebags and a quality press.
~~~~~~~~~~
During this grow I was forced to constantly changed out air stones! The 3 sets I have are very clogged with photo plus. This led to an oxygenation system that was constantly back n forth, up n down. I'm fairly certain this is why all my plants took a little longer this time around and weren't quite what they could have been - hard to do much when your being choked!
I will be switching to Southern AG for the next grow - looking like I will be staying in DWC for a little while and trying out some hydrobuckets with my current system unchanged - but with the ability to trellis! I will be moving and will then have full access to my tent from both sides. I will also adjust my feed chart a bit (I need to redo it, for some reason my excel spreadsheets disappeared)
