trying new nutrients, curious how they do. pretty sure there great. Also my first run with automatic watering system i set up myself, and also first run with cocos and perlite, for me personally,
they are growing realy fast, LST is starting to look good, snapped 2 branches, and im pretty sure its because of the B-52, it works so great it just makes the branches hard really fast, but there healing now. this is also a fun and easy plant to grow, ive noticed, it can handle a bump. But since the vegetation is going so great, it is just making me more curious about how the buds are gonna grow, and the quality of the buds offcourse, fingers crossed.
Time for flowering, so i changed the clock. this is all the part we wait for of course, can't wait till the flowers start to grow. just t hope the yeild is great, and even more important, the buds are great tasting and smelling.
they are still growing like crazy, can't get to big, or they will get to close too the lamp. but they are still all looking great, and they are very hungry ladies, i keep upping there ec a little but the run off still comes out low, and there are absolutely no signs of nute burns or any thing that says the ec is getting to high, might even go up to 2.0 eventually. but if you wat a run with little problems, this is the strain to use. Bud ignitor actually does work good, after 4 days i started seeing signs of flowering already, unbelievable.
This has been another exiting week, seeing em all line up into one canopy, hoping they dont grow to high, so the light doesnt burn em. one of the main reasons im gonna change to LED lighting after this run, but i gotta say it again, Kosher Haze is so easy to grow, she will handle anything you throw at her, she is tough, almost like a frisian strain, but not exactly. the fact i already have flowers after 2 weeks is al due to bud ignitor from advanced nutrients, that stuff does what it says it will do, now just hope the big bud coco does exactly that, make big buds. It has been a fun ride so far, but dont forget, if your doing real great, like im am now, it can get boring at times, al i have to do is fill up the water once a week, but this is not a complaint.😁
My my my, it's been going great, they have grown longer and faster than expected, so some have come too close to the lamp as you can probably see, what you cant see because of all the growth, is that i have bent the long ones in the middle away from the lamp, so they wont get to hot and/or burn. its unbelievable how much these ladies eat, i've upped my E.C. to 2.00 before they started showing that its enough, and I'm not talking about any burns or anything, just that the EC from my run off is finally a bit higher than the water going in. instead of always a lot lower. for the rest...the flowers are forming, and I'm waiting impatiently, can't wait to taste this strain, I've read a lot of great things about it.😁
it was an exciting week. had to take out all the ladies and rearrange them, after I lowered the table some 15cm, cause i was getting some problems with the heat from the lamp. something that was pretty obvious in the pics. so I took out the net, then all the girls, and sawed off 15cm off every table leg, n it helped a lot. now they are doing great, and still eating and drinking a lot. the funny thing is that i actually did LST to keep them from getting to big as well as greater yield, but they are still pretty huge, considering the topping and LST. for the rest everything is still going great, haven't run into any real problems yet, just that my run off EC was a bit high, so I ended up flushing the plants and now its all good again. good thing I have some bamboo sticks laying around incase the plants start hanging, because that net is not going in until I start over, impossible. the close it gets to harvest, the more impatient I get, like most of us. with the health off these plants, the early bloom, and size of the ladies, and the nice smell, going along with a lot of resin build up already, getting nice and sparkly, I am pretty sure it's gonna be a great quality and probably also a nice yield 😊
start of this week I decided that i needed 9 weeks bloom instead of 8, it all depends on the phenotype you end up getting out of the seed, and these were definitely not ready to start the last 2 weeks before flush, or the end bloom cycle, whatever you wanna call it. so I added another week of main bloom, before I start with the end bloom cycle. A buddy of mine started the same weekend with another strain (lava freeze), and you could see a clear difference that his was ready, and more matured, and going into end phase. That always will be the challenge when using seeds, some strains more than others, but you never know which phenotype is inside the seed, until you plant it. and I then make clones of that one, and still its a guess when growing, some strains will reveal the type by color, off course, that's helpful. that is also one of the things that makes growing these plants alot less boring, lol. I love this stuff, its a great hobby.
just waiting waiting waiting, doing this for years has made me a patient man, but this run my patients has gone it seems. flowers are forming, smell is getting stronger. so so curious about end result, yield as well as quality
can't say much has changed, except of course the flowers got a bit bigger, the smell a bit nicer, and more frost. but everything has just been going smoothly. the coming week is gonna be tougher, because I'm waiting on my nutrients, that happened to run out right in my last week before flush. typical, right? just gotta do with what I have the first few days, and then finish it up how its supposed to be. next week is flush, and then i use nothing besides flawless finish, also the first time I use any kind of flushing nutrient. wish me luck for this week, and I'm crossing my fingers hoping my shipments comes asap, i did order them beginning of last week.
I checked trichomes, definitely had to add another week before starting with flush week. witch turned out to be a positive, because i found out why my buds are so nicely covered frosty, smell great, look great, but are kinda on the smaller side. it was just too cold at night, and during the day, the pots and so also the roots were still cold, because as you see on the pics, no light gets that deep. and because of the cold room around it, the water with nutrients was also very cold. all in all, the roots had to fight to keep themselves warm, and didn't have the energy to grow the buds. this is a dumb mistake, but i found out. added a space heater in the tent underneath the grow table, and a heater in the water when necessary. because of those measures those gals starting drinking like crazy, and i had to add another feeding per day, and a minute per feeding, that's quite the difference. but like the title said, first grow with new setup, and who would of figured a heater with an HID lamp, lol. glad I'm switching over to LED. And who knows what these girls do in the next two weeks, I've seen pretty big differences in the last two weeks before, and with other people as well. so, wish me luck, and hope I didn't mess up the yield to much, with this forest it could have been astonishing. at least I know the quality is going to be amazing, that is certain, also a bit more important, to me anyways.👊
well, its the final week. Time for flushing and in a week I harvest. I had to add water per day, not just went to 6 times a day, but I added another minute per time. now that the pots are warm, they drink a lot more, logically right? They smell great, so this last week will be the second to longest, like each time, and of course when there hanging and drying, that week takes forever, lol.
the yield is a lot less than possible. I can practically say it went so good, that it turned bad. because of the amazing vegetation they practically became bushes, and wouldn't let the light thru to the bottom, witch kept the roots cold, and that really effected the size of buds. I did not have a space heater in there yet because i don't think anyone would have expected to need one with an HID lamp. except at night, i did not have one, but needed one, that was dumb, got real cold, like 17 degrees cold. but the fact that the plants survived such big swings in temp proves how strong this strain is, amazing. same with EC, she handles alot, and barely notice any burns when the run off got to high.
