West Coast OG Auto from Fastbuds. Tried germinating using the paper towel method, but nothing happened. After a couple days I planted it directly into the soil in a red solo cup and she germinated.
60% Humidity
75 degrees F
24/0 through day 4
20/4 starting day 5
Fox Farm Happy Frog Soil
I'll add more info later today. Day 13 today, probably going to transplant.
Update: Transplanted!!!
Added 3 oz of Down To Earth 4-4-4
Added 1 oz of Flower Girl 3-9-4
Watered 16 oz only since soil already had moisture to it.
One part of one leaf has light green on it. Not sure what that's about. Topped her on Day 18. Overall good growth this week. Looking forward to seeing her take off in the next week or two!!!!
Everything looking good!! Couple rounds of lst this week, and cut off a small amount of the bigger fan leaves towards the bottom. Preflower feeding tomorrow. Excited to see how she responds in the next couple weeks.
Day 32: Had been using lst to get the canopy on an even level. That caused it to get pretty wide for a 2x2 tent. Started training it to grow up now since it can not get any wider.
***Update: Got a bigger tent, 4x2, doesn’t help with how wide it’s getting, but allows for a lot more room vertically, about another 1.5 feet. Also upgraded the lights and it responded rather quickly. It’s filling out and I trimmed some large lower fans leaves a couple more times to allow for air flow and new bud sites to get better light.
Lots of growth this week. Stretched almost 10 inches, and bud sites forming all over. I switched to a taller tent and I'm glad I did. Went with a 4ft x 2ft x 6ft tent. Now there is more than enough room to support the upward growth that happened this week, and anymore that may occur. Also switched to 2 Groplanner 100W O Series lights. At the start of this week I lowered the humidity to 43 percent and increased watering a little bit, but the leaves seemed to be a little droopy. I was giving 60 oz of water every other day (planted in soil and 5 gallon fabric pot). So I raised the humidity back up to 53 percent and cut the amount of water I was giving by 1/2, to 30 oz, but every day after the lights go back on. This seemed to help quite a bit. I think this is giving the soil on the bottom of the pot a better opportunity to dry out. Not getting any real run off, but I will check the pH level if I notice any negative changes. I also did some light defoliation a couple times this week for air flow, and cut off a few bud sites towards the bottom that were not getting much light. Looking forward to seeing the buds really start to fill in and hopefully fatten up!!
Buds are starting to fill in nicely. Top dressing for flowering stage tomorrow. She’s getting pretty tall, hoping the stretch will stop soon. Over all a good week with no real surprises. Did a little defoliation for air movement this week.
Solid week!! Fed her bloom nutrients on day 50. Responding nicely. I pulled down the main 8 to allow for better light and airflow throughout. Once I did that she really started to fill in again. This also seems to help stop the stretch, or maybe it was just timing and stretch was coming to an end anyways. Either way, glad it did as I am am running out of room to raise the lights and have no more options for setup. Bud sites are all starting to fill in good and fatten up a tiny bit. Looking forward to seeing how these shape up!!!
Buds filling in nicely. Not a whole lot going on, just watering and keeping an eye on things. Sugar leaves starting to develop a bit. Been watering about 10 oz less everyday.
Trichomes are coming in nice. Buds are getting frosty. The leaves around the tallest buds are starting to lighten up. This is my first grow but I don't think it's anything to be concerned over. There are some vary random amber trichomes starting to show, so at this point I'm not going to add any nutrients, instead let her use up all the nutrients that are still in the soil. Not sure how much longer before harvest, but I would think in the next couples weeks.
Trichomes are all cloudy, a little bit of amber here and there. Buds are fattening up, I had to prop up some of the bigger ones. Going to be keeping a close eye on things this week and get ready to harvest. We'll see if she goes another week or not. Really excited to see how this turns out. Also had to change the cover on the filter this week. It's extremely dry where I am, and the humidifier in the tent is on a switch that turns it on at 42% and off at 44%. Between the heat going on and off in the house, and the dry air, the humidifier is running a ton. I think the calcium in the water is getting drawn to the filter.
