So not only do I top feed my plants I also use my own super soil in all my grows and its safe to say she doesn't like it very well. She is the only plant to burn in the way she's burning and she wasn't a very leafy tree to begin with. I cut off the fan leaves that were affected and I'm going to just give plain water for a while and allow it to use up what's in the soil. Its already on an organic regiment so if it continues to do well with the soil alone I will only feed Ph water.
The burn has slowed down drastically but I'm not going to get too excited just yet since I really can't do anything to stop it at this point, she's just gonna have to adapt. Light penetration isn't a issue with this plant as well can see so hopefully I can get 4oz off of her once she shows me more by week 4
Not dealing with much hot soul issues now but it's still there a tad to the point it looks like natural fading. Its getting very good lighting so here's to a good yield
Was away on vacation so I didn't get much time to care for any of my plants. She's getting frosty and the goddam mites came back, after this run I'm gonna soap, bleach and alcohol the fuck out of the tent. Not too happy with the size of the buds but I'll take quality over quantity any day of the week. She's approaching week 7 on Saturday and I don't anticipate the buds getting any bigger past this week so we shall see. Not very happy with this particular run in regards to bud size and density.
I took quite a few pics of the trichromes because I couldn't believe that there was that much amber and its the beginning of week 7, breeder stated its 9-10 weeks flowering but this plant probably will be chopped by the weekend depending. Emerson Effect using far red to put your plants to bed does speed up flowering times which is why I swear by it. This little plant smells very loud and has an interesting smell that I can't place yet, maybe if I add fire to it after its dried I'll have a better idea.
Thats all she wrote folks, breeder said 9-10 weeks and she barely made it to week 8, Buds at all levels had more than enough amber. The smell profile is hands down what Anesia stated, lemons and raspberries galore. The yield isn't there but I achieved what I set out to do and that was getting the most out of the terps, oils and trichomes. Can't wait to see how it smokes.
So they hit the nail on the head in regards to the flavor profile if grown correct, the buds stinks of raspberry and lemons. No diesel in this just citrus and I'm not complaining about it. The plant stunted and I'm sure that's from the soil amendment, was still able to get 1.5oz of QUALITY from her which I will hoard in storage until the spring/summer. Spider mites are extremely attracted to this plant and probably due to the high lemon terps.
Decent harvest from a stunted plant and to boot the bud is A1 as far as terps and flavor. Will definitely grow this plant over again organically for the flavor its shown.
@Kloud9gardenz,
Legend. Mines coming along cracker. Have you grown this strain from the seed company before? I love chemdog but never tried from these guys. Hoping it’s legit
@CannabisConey, it smells like raspberries and lemons like Anesia said but my whole grow was geared towards getting that part of the grow down pack. As far as the smoke it hit initially but not as strong as I was anticipating. I'm gonna let her sit for a month or so and come back to her and see how she shaped up
@Kloud9gardenz,.. I'm old school i use tip of fingers.. After I'm finished tips of finger black with hash... Back in jamaica we call it finger hash. Lololol..
@JamMAKEcan, yes and no of that makes sense lol. The red hot cookies is pretty much finished along with the Chemdog. From the looks of the others they'll be staggered with the finish time. The biggest issue I may have is the tent the dry them out in but I doubt it. Then I use this thing called a cannabrush once its dried to clean away the dried trim and it takes like 10-20 minutes when it would've took an hr or more depending on the size of the plant. Some people hate the cannabrush because they say it brushes away the trichromes but if you use a crusher to crush your bud you're doing the same thing. I simply don't bush it like I'm painting a wall and it stays on tact
@CannabisConey, she smells really loud when I isolated her to see what her fragrance is like. I literally just went downstairs and took a whiff lol. Most of these plants finishes in 9 weeks sometimes less, I've realized by week 7 they're pretty much done getting bigger and the last 2 weeks the buds are ripening. In the last 2 weeks or so I'll pull the nutes and just water them.
