The seed was 2.5 years old. Taproot already busted out of the shell when I took out of the glass of water. Placed in paper towel dampened for 3 days until taproot was about 1" long. Placed it about .25" under soil and used a mist spray to water the soil slightly. Temp and humidity is pretty steady in tent at 70F and 50 humidity.

Used to have 2 plants in here last year, too much work having them grow around each other. Just doing one this year. Tent is only 2'x2'x4'. Already using fox farms grow big 1 teaspoon per gallon to see how it took and it took well. Most people would say this is early, but I'm trying something different this time being more aggressive.

Looking strong. Again I'm using an aggressive approach because I'm starting to get used to these Autos and know their weakness. One of them is their speed to flowering, so I've kicked in the fertilization and upped the amount to 3 tsp per gal. I'm still watering with regular tap water as it has other minerals the plant needs (ie calcium) I let it sit a few days to allow the chlorine to dissipate. Also a change from last year is the pot, I'm using fabric. Last year I over watered. Won't let that happen again.

Unlike last few grows, I'm not going to mess with much LST or topping etc. This Hindu Kush yielded me 2 oz per plant last time and that is with an over watering event. With the aggressive approach to fertilization, I'm hoping to break that mark this time. I'm not going overboard, just every other watering and 3 tsp per gallon. At this rate I'm watering every 2-3 days and not much, just like the amount of a 20oz soda. I plan on letting this grow to budding at 80% amber trichomes, I'm looking for a pain killing effect. Not going for the euphoria as I get hardcore anxiety.

Getting bushy, I like this breed. The difference between last time and this off the same seed is the fan leaves are freaken huge, some 50% bigger than my hand. This must be the aggressive approach on the fertilization. Still only watering once every 2-3 days. I got a small oscillating fan in there. I still haven't did any LST or topping etc, I plan on letting this one grow how it wants. I will only do some LST if this thing gets closer than 20" to my lights. Right now still only on the vegetation switch the Watt draw isn't much. They say 600 Watt but maybe they mean (like 600 Watt), because I have the light hooked up to a UPS battery backup and it shows only 30 watt load.

Still going strong, smell is increasing. I have went from 3 tsp per gal to 3.5 to 4.0 on the grow big, thats as strong as I'll make it and back off once I see a hint of flowering. I use regular tap water, my mistake last year was using bottled water which lacks the nutrients that tap water has (ie calcium). I tried to avoid it, but I did do a top mainly because I didn't top my Hindu Kush last year and wanted to see the difference. Some fan leaves are large as I've ever seen on an auto plant that I've grown. The flowering should be around the corner, once that happens I'll switch to the tiger bloom 2 tsp per gallon. I'm letting this go deep into flower, 90% amber. I want to kill that back pain.

Big growth spurt. Feels like it shot up nearly 9" in 1 week. My aggressive approach to fertilization seems to be paying off. Although I told myself I would not top it, but I did it about 10 days ago. That seems to be paying off as well, I'm seeing 4 to 6 main colas in the making. Some of these fan leaves are as big as I've seen on any plant, I'm amazed. Believe it or not I grow this out of pure hobby and give the rest away to a few friends and a cancer patient. I'm going for the pain killing effect so when it buds I'm letting 90% of those trichomes go amber. Going to keep an eighth for myself. I see the very beginnings of flowering with the pistils, so I'm going to back off the strength of grow big from 4 tsp to 2. I also learned my lesson in the past moving onto the flowering fertilizer too fast. Practice makes perfect. If any grow veterans, based on these pics have any pointers, let me know. I'm getting closer than I want to my lights being 18" away now. No signs of stress. You can see the specs on my light it say 600 watt, but only draws 40 Watt on Veg mode, 80 Watts on full spectrum. I'm worried when I turn it on full spectrum mode. I think when they say 600 W, that is just a selling point by saying this is "like" a 600 W light. Wondering if I need to LST a couple of those developing colas up top to reduce a few inches while these stems are still pliable. This is a Hindu Kush auto, but it is growing like a beast. Thanks for any advice.

Growing strong. Been doing watering with 2 tsp of tiger bloom.. clearly starting to flower now, growing bushy and nice. This is my favorite strand. I've had my light in full spectrum mode and in about a week or 2 I'm going to use the red/orange flowing only mode (without veg spectrum) until its ready. I think I'm about 6-8 weeks away from Harvest. Early in flowering, seeing more and more pistils forming. Have about 6 "main" colas up top in the making. Temp is about 68F and humidity is about 50%. I did pluck a few fan leaves to enable more light passage below. I think there is a point to stop defoliation when in flowering, checking on that.

Developing well up top, after that "top" a few weeks back I seem to have at least 4-6 main colas up top which makes me happy. I'm feeding tiger bloom 3tsp/gal every other watering. Humidity is between 55-60% and temp ranges 65-68 F. I'm guessing the flowering phase here will drag on because I am growing for the narcotic effect, mostly amber trichomes. Getting a little close to light (13"), rather than full spectrum mode, I'm using the flowering switch only by itself (red/orange wavelengths). Anyway, will check back next week or so.

On week 11 roughly. Going strong. I plucked about 20 fan leaves in the middle and some on outside to help with light penetration to lower bud sites. Still giving tiger bloom every other watering using 3.5 tsp per gallon. Using dechlorinated tap water in between. Still watering every other day. Not using other nutrients as a lot come with the tap water by default (ie calcium). Also with this grow I placed quite a bit of decaying pine needles/egg shells in the soil with some earthworm's in the beginning. I used earthworm's for my vegetable garden this year and had great results. I went fishing this year and was going to toss excess worms in the woods and my Dad told me to place in garden, that they will help with aeriation. I put half dozen of them in this soil. Didn't know that trick.

Still watering every other day, sometimes every 2 days. Humidity is usually between 45-55. Noticing some rusty looking spotting on upper fan leaves, this is happening between the veins. This is possibly due to too much Tiger Bloom. Next time I fertilize, I am going to just start lowering dose to 1.5-2 tsp per gallon. Anyone have any idea what this is let me know. Plant overall looks healthy. I've seen the rust spots before in past..buds look to be good and developing. Still a couple weeks away from flattening.

Flowering looking good still seeing the rusty brown spotting on upper fan leaves and drying out. I included pic of what it looks like. Since I was only using tap water and tiger bloom 3-4 tsp per gallon I gave it a rest and then just used cal-mag 1 tsp per gallon through the next few waterings. Not sure why this sometimes happens. Most things I read point to either deficiency in calcium or magnesium, but I believe the tiger bloom have some of that in there already. I know the tap water has calcium. Maybe it was too much TB? I was being pretty aggressive with it at 4 tsp per gallon. Other than that I am not stressing over it. I have lowered dose of TB to 1 tsp per gallon every other watering. Temps are low 60s and humidity is in the low 40% now. Only using the flower switch on my light considering the distance from my lights is about 10". Buds are developing nice though it seems.

Hindu auto, week 11 started seeing rusty brown spotting on upper fan leaves. At this point I was only using tap water and 4 tsp/gal of tiger bloom. That is aggressive so I backed off to 1.5 tsp. I watered with cal mag 1 tsp just in case it was deficient. Ideas? Buds seem ok.

I wanted to say it’s calcium but when the leaves turn like that it’s too much sauce, it’s nuts burn for sure, ease up on those nutes! Looks good though!

Upper fan leaves still show some spotting but this could be what happens in mid to late flowering. I have reduced tiger bloom still to 1 tsp per gallon. I had to put a small space heater which regulates temp to 70F. Buds are growing more dense. Looking at trichomes via loupe and I have about 50% cloudy. Looking for 50% cloudy and 50% amber. Probably a couple weeks from harvest now.

On week 17, last week I flushed with straight water 8 gallons worth. I cut off my tiger bloom at the end of week 15. Getting a lot of the normal yellowing of fan leaves. All the hairs have browned and curled back in, buds have increased in size. I got a jewelers loupe which are hard to use kneeling down. I'm observing most of the trichomes are cloudy, I'm just waiting for about 25% amber color which is hard to see. Getting close to harvest. I've read sometimes it's good to let it sit in the dark for 2 days prior to cut. Not sure how much a difference that makes.. looking like I may get about 2 oz from this.

I like this strain. I waited until about 40% of trichomes were amber in color as I'm going for pain killing effects. It was hard to use that jewelers loupe. Harvest was easy and plentiful. After 4 days of drying in 35% humidity I ended up with 3.5 Oz, which is my personal best so far for an Auto. I have mason jars with the 62% humidity packs I'll store in. I plan on giving this mostly away to a family member with cancer, I'll keep about half an 8th for myself which should last a year.
