Hi everyone and welcome to this new journey that I can't wait to start and share with you!
I decided to grow 8 Dark Phoenix seeds sent to me by Green House Seeds to participate in this competition and I will grow them trying to use the SOG method in one square meter and using 9L pots.
I started, as usual, by soaking the seeds in a solution of water with the addition of Advanced Nutrients rooting agents Piranha, Tarantula and CarboLoad, a mix that I have always found good for starting my seeds.
I let them soak for 18 hours, and then placed them in a damp paper towel.
In less than 48 hours all the seeds sprouted, I prepared the pots with Plagron's Lightmix, drilled a hole in the center of the pot for proper root insertion, covered the seed with a small layer of soil, and watered everything with the correct Piranha, Tarantula, and CarboLoad water.
I hope I capture your interest and that you will hang in there with me until the end!
The first week started off pretty well, as you can see the seed developed very quickly straightening out the stem completely and opening the first leaves.
As nutrients I have continued with Piranha, Tarantula and Advanced Nutrients Carboload, developing a good root system.
I have a lot of confidence in these little guys and can't wait to see the grow filled with beautiful plants.
Week 2 and it is continuing really well. The seedlings are now developing their first leaves very quickly.
As always the rooting agents they use for the first few weeks give the plants a tremendous boost and you notice it with every application. For now continue with the same feeding schedule until they are more developed.
Thank you very much to Green House Seeds for the opportunity to grow this brand new genetics and I really can't wait to see what results I get, even with the help of the GHFeeding fertilizers.
Third week of the vegetative phase and the plants are amazing. By now I've transplanted them into the final 9L pots and have already prepared everything to start the whole flowering phase in the best way.
This week I am also starting to use GHFeeding fertilizers, every two days, following the doses recommended by the manufacturer and there are no problems whatsoever, in fact everything is growing very fast without suffering much from the transplant.
Just a little more time and I will start changing the light hours to get the plants to flower. I hope to cover the whole surface of the grow with some great buds.
Week 4 and we're heading into the flowering phase in splendid shape.
I have adjusted the Spider Farmer's cycle from 18 hours of light and 6 hours of dark to 12 hours of light and dark.
Nutritionally I am continuing to follow the nutritional chart that came with the fertilizers, this week I added Hybrids and I have to say that I am doing pretty well with it, both in terms of convenience and results, the plants are healthy, bright and a beautiful deep green color.
I'm really curious to see if they will take on the typical purplish black coloration of the Dark Phoenix.
Week 5 for these wonderful Darks. The plants are looking very regular to each other and are starting to compete on who will be the biggest and tallest.
The flowering sites are defining themselves and the first pistils are appearing on the internodes. The growth is really fast and so far I haven't had any problems growing them, especially with the help of Green House Hybrids fertilizer, which is proving to be more and more a great product and I'm continuing to use it, soon I will add the other fertilizers of the line to optimize the flowering.
I am very happy with this and every time I open the grow it is a joy to behold.
