My baby started to show signs of flowering on just the second/ third week of life! This is a recurring problem with my plants? Does anybody know why? Can someone explain this to me?
It's an autoflower, so possibly completely normal.
However, you are transplanting and topping an autoflower... some may not take kindly to such actions and stress it into flowering early. No idea on ratio there as some ppl top/transplant their autos with no probs. but stress can cause early flower, nonetheless, and autos are a bit more sensitive due to whatever reason if not related to being on a veritable genetic timer.
Preflowers should show up fairly early. figure an autoflower is similar to a photoperiod that gets 1-2 weeks of vege growth before flip.... some "XL Auto" varieties may be longer before they hit flower full throtle.
She is a beauty. I topped her and applied some LST. I also started to give her some nutrients, hopefully they won't stun her growth. Some "pre-flowers" started to show up, not sure if I should put this week as flowering, I'll give it another week and see.
Sorry it took me a while to update! I had a busy week. So, i moved the gorilla glue to the area where I have my flowering plants. It's an open room instead of a tent. The problem I'm having is that it has been raining a lot where I live so the overall humidity went up. This is causing bud rot on other plants I had. I cut them down to see if I can save anything. How can I prevent bud rot with this plant? I already have fans running, but I'm not sure if something else will do better.
I also cut some of the big leafs to let light through to lower branches.
She looks great! I started to add a little bit of an "organic" nutrient for flowering but I only applied half of what was indicated. I'm worried about PH problems since I am not sure how to keep the PH down. For some reason the water here reads at 7.5- 8 PH. By adding nutrients it goes down to about 6.8 PH. I also use PH down but I'm not happy with the results since I can't really get it under 6.8. If I get the PH down from that i feel like I have added too much and unfortunately it just jumps back to around 6.8 after a couple of hours or a day.
What I'm trying to say is I am having trouble keeping the PH of the water below 6.5, does anybody have any suggestions?
She is doing fine, although I noticed she isn't absorbing as much water. Not sure if it's me but the dirt doesn't seem to dry up as quickly as others. Takes about 4 days to dry as others take about 2 or 3.
Anyway, I'm planning on not using nutrients because I'm worried they are stunning her.
She is doing good. Buds are getting their shape and the pistils are changing color.
I'm not adding nutrients because I'm trying to correct the small amount of nitrogen toxicity it seems to have. Temperatures have also been falling in the night so I'm worried the difference will hurt her.
By the end of this week almost all of the pistils changed their color. Not sure if I can harvest yet. I want to give it a couple more weeks.
6.8 is not that high in soil, just water them with a 6.4 solution till you down de buffer done by the soil itself. But as far you don't nute them really high they should be ok, I see some N excess but till she's streching just cut a little bit the N intake.
