Reduced the sensi bloom A&B nutrients, increased the CalMag a little and added a bit of Hesi‘s PK 13/14. I think overall the actions have fixed the nutrient issues that started to appear. Top Canopy is growing darker again and less Calcium deficiency is visible. The smell is getting quite strong and she is super sticky, leaving your fingers smell of Vanilla, Peach and Cream.

If I manage to raise my co2 to 900-1000 ppm, what is the max. temperature the plants can handle?

I know at around 1200-1400 PPM of CO2 in your space. Plants can handle low 30s in celsius. Like 33 would be about the top range of what a plant could handle with supplemented CO2.

I had lowered my Sanlight Q4 from 50 cm to 40cm, as per vendors recommendation and now I believe that I have burned the little ones. Or is this a nutrient issue?

Hi there. I grow in rockwool and hydroton as well at the moment. With rockwool it has a naturally high ph I think around 7 or 8. I normally soak mine in ph 4.5/5 water for 24hrs then shake a lot of the water out. Then I soak in mild nute solution for 15mins Ec 0.45 ph 5.5 then shake, then place my seed in the hole. With the hydroton especially if it's new I give that a mega rinse to get the dust off then soak that in ph 5.5 for 24hrs. If its hydroton I used before, I jet wash the roots out and then boil the rocks before soaking in ph 5.5

When performing LST, would you guys remove the fan leaves touching the medium or leave them on? I am just worried that they might catch mold due to the irrigation.

It’s fine plants look healthy! The only thing is if the leaf is covering a node for growth, pluck it! You want as many shoots as possible!

When to stop LST with autos? I have no experience... they are in week 4 now and it seems like they have started to pre-flower. Should I continue LST throughout week 4 or rather stop and let the plants do their thing?

Because the plants will double or tripple in size during the pre flower stretch, the LST can be done all the way through to maintain an even canopy. Just do a bit at a time. Probably by week 8 you will have stopped Lst.

Since it seems like I can do LST for quite a while longer, and I do technically have a scrog net lying around;Would you guys continue with the tie-down method, or position a scrog net 5-10 cm over the current canopy and guide the plant through the net? Just don't wanna over do it

Hello again,👋👍 A scrog net would be nice, but i just checked your diary and you are growing 3 different strains, so the negative point here is that some strains streches more than others, i suggest to check the percentage of indica vs sativa to have that also in mind, for the rest, of course a scrog net provides us much more even canopy even if one of your plants is super sativa you can still guide that one and try to keep it under the net, so yes its a great idea to use a net if you have one 👍 enjoy your growing 🌱

How high to place the scrognet over the auto flowers (pic below is 10 cm above the 15 cm tall plants), for them to stretch somewhat to still fill the net. The plants are in week 4 now.

My autos are now in the beginning of week 5 and have already made quite a stretch during week 4. My question is what a good indicator for stopping would be or the perfect moment basically.

I would leave it as is mate. If after the stretch u feel its still not to your liking you can always put another net in there to spread it out. Done double scrog nets a few times.

My LSD-25 is showing a nutrient deficiency. The nutrient solution is at 900-950 ppm and ph is always between 6.0-6.3. I am already adding cal mag agent from canna as per vendors instructions to my reverse osmosis water and have added a bit more yesterday.

Hi! I would suggest you to take some leaves off so that your plants can breath better. Also i dont think you should raise up any nutrient, instead i would take a good lock in N toxicity. unless you are facing immobile nutrient deficiency like calcium, nutrients like N,P and K should start from old leaves from the botton of the plant as the plant can take it from old leaves to provide to the new ones. i hope it helps.

Hi, Is it bad that the roots are hanging all into my tank? If yes, how can I prevent this without Investing in a new system? If no, should I add an airstone/s to provide more oxygen? Or don’t do anything.

Get some airstones in the res. I would stop top feeding as your water will eventually struggle to run back into the tank and then flood everywhere. So from now it's going to be a dwc in effect. You could carry on top feeding but it may flood. Good luck

The vendor suggests 9-10 weeks until harvest. I am currently in week 7 and looking at predominantly cloudy trichomes at the moment. When do you guys usually start flushing and for how long?

Flushing is a bit of a hot topic. Some people do it, some don't. I am one who does not believe in the methodology behind flushing. But I respect people who do like to do it. If you want to start flushing your plants, aim for 1-2 weeks before your chop. Just water them with PH'd water till runoff if achieved and your good to go. their are products desinged to help remove excess salts in the flush and this might be something your interested it. From other questions like this that I've read, most people just use water. As for vendor guided timelines of when to harvest, They are more or less suggestions, you have to go off of what your plant is telling you. They are normally correct in a ball park range sense. Best to check your trichomes for a more accurate indicator of when its ready. I like a little bit of amber 10% some like more, upwards of 30%. More amber=more sedative couch lock. I think that's because the THCV turn into CBN Best of Luck

I feel like it looks like a Potassium excess, causing a CalMag deficiency. Any thoughts from the communitys? Old leaves are dark green with brown spots. New foliage is in light green (potassium excess) and developing brown spots on the new foliage as well (CalMag deficiency?)

For me it's overfeed with n and calcium lockout because of that. Plus light is really close, then you have to maintain good Rh for best VPD, otherwise calcium issues ... You diagnosed deep, so I guess you know what to do in such cases. Wait for other opinions All the Best !!!

Hi there. I see you’re wanting to run co2. Your plant doesn’t really require co2 at this stage of the game. In fact you should keep your co2 PPMs under 800 during veg. Your plant is still a seedling. It’s not really until early flower that the plants will benefit from added CO2. I feel you may be trying to do too much too early. I would do a little google search on co2 during veg and read up on what it has to say about it. Good luck friend 🤙
Papa_T
Papa_Tcommented3 years ago
@Salokin, alright fair enough. Yeah she’s still a little seedling and really doesn’t need much in way of nutrients and stuff to thrive. Though I’ve never done DWC so I wouldn’t know how to manage that kind of system. Well cool I didn’t want to seem condescending in any way. Sometimes I’ll say stuff that might be obvious to most growers but sometimes the odd chance that they don’t know. So that’s why I get to basics.
Salokin
Salokincommented3 years ago
@Papa_T, I found conflicting statements online, so all your info is highly appreciated. The tent gets to hot if sealed, but I reach the 1200ppm. Anyways seems like I have stressed my plants with the light and nutrients, so I’ll take it easy for now until they have recovered a little. And I don’t think that I’ll have to worry about size, as they are all autos and I am planning to LST once’s the plants are big enough and then scrog.
Papa_T
Papa_Tcommented3 years ago
@Salokin, I’m not saying you should stop but really the most beneficial time for CO2 with cannabis is the the first three weeks of flowering. For CO2 to be really beneficial to be able to push temperatures and push more PPFD you’ll have to get into the 1,200-1,500 ppm range. Then at this point your tent will have to be completely sealed. 1000 PPM isn’t really enough supplemented CO2 for the plants to be able to handle the higher temps and light intensity. Anyway sorry to rant, I just wanted to clarify a few things. I don’t know what you know and I just want to pass on what I know about the topic. Anyway good luck with your grow. It’s definitely a very cool set up. I see one big ass out of control plant in the near future. DWC is going to take off. I don’t recommend vegging this plant too long. I see a lot of DWC grows where the plant is thriving to the point of outgrowing the tent and climbing up too close to the lights.
