Gelato 41 saw a couple of success stories on here so thought i would join in on the fun! Any tips comments or advice are always welcome. Im very active and focused and will reply to every comment or message!
I love gelato strains they always have a top shelf option locally and ive seen them come in all sorts of crosses and potency 3a 4a 5a . Im doing a version of subcools living soil mixed with kryptonite soil. Using all organic gai products for most of the ingredients.
I use this soil as base for my supersoil closes thing to roots organic here in canada
per 1.5 cuft soil ( 1 bag Kryptonite )
8.5 once Worm Castings
4.5 ounces fish bone meal
8.5 onces Bat Guano High Phosphorus
8.5 onces Blood Meal
4.5 onces Bone Meal
5 tablespoons 1 teaspoon Oyster Shells
5 tablespoons 1 teaspoon Kelp Meal
5 tablespoons 1 teaspoon Alfalfa Meal
1 tablespoons 2.5 teaspoon Epsom salt
1 tablespoons 2.5 teaspoons Dolomite Lime
3 tablespoons 1 1/4 teaspoons Azomite
3/4 teaspoon Powdererd Humic Acid
add 8 onces bottle clonex or great white mycorrhiza
remember you can never mix never soil enough
put it in garbage cans give soil 1 to 2 gallons water let sit 6 to 10 weeks
forgot to mention to feed soil with coconut water every 2 weeks for web of life to thrive
it looks like mold don't worry its beneficial microbes
put 1/3 at bottom pots fill rest with Kryptonite soil.
I will also be using some products from biofizz as well as a hibrix molasses!
I cannot stress enough the importance of temp and humidity. If flavor and smell is your main goal invest in a quality way to control it(humidifer/dehum/fan) to put it where you think is best. Be careful with some of those mist sprayers if you put tap water it will leave a mess all over your tent!
Welcome all to week 1 of Gelato41 by Glasseye19
Grabbed the fan it was missing! But seems to be making humidity lower.Threw in a basic humidifer inside has helped will monitor hourly to make sure swings arent to wide. Will report back as the week goes!
Update #1 Seeds are responding well to direct plant into the krypto soil.Just evian/voss water forgot to put dynamyco on the roots of seedling but i will be during next transplant.
Update#2 added some biobizz nutes i put the right amount in a spray bottle and i will give it out through out the week as needed. Over watering is hard to fix so always aim for less if you can help it.
Update#3- 2nd gal almost shedding her seed helmet👷♀️possible reason was not deep enough or soil moisture was not as damp as it could be. But good news they all sprouted out the soil!
Update#4 - #2 shed her helmet🙌 and they both continue healthy growth. They have been very thirsty of late and have been checking on them frequently. They seem to love the rootjuice
Chasin that good 😤 and most importantly flavor!!
Let me know if you guys have any tips but so far we cruising 👌🤜

Week 2 starting out both plants look healthy and continue growing well. #1 seems to be a bit faster than #2 even with the late shedding of the seed helmet.
My hi brix molasses finally came in! So expensive and difficult to find in the north! Wont be using it for a while but good to get things early! Also have a caliber IV hygrometer for the cure jar in the mail!
Update 1: finally getting new leaves and they looking mean and dark green . My Caliber IV hygrometer came in. I am using a calibration kit to make sure its perfect and will adjust if its off after 24h. These are essential for the curing process in mason jars to take the guess work and to achieve the perfect cure. This is all about flavour not yield 😋.
Update #3- 🚑 had a plant emergency! My nutes that i mixed into the spray bottle had rotted smelt like rotten eggs. I either took to long to use it or because it was left in the room which was to warm! I ended up not noticing until both plants were watered. I decided to tranaplant them into a new solo cup with fresh soil and gave it regular water. I also decided to take advantage of the mishap by putting dynamyco at the roots which i had forgotten to do on initial plant! They seem to be doing great and survived the ordeal. Lets hope this will be the only mishap better early than late!
Hope to get some interaction from the community comment/msg me anything! 🙏

Long time!! Got a little discoloration on a few leaves i think it might be due to the ph or a calcium issue. Will be monitoring. Otherwise #1 is tall and #2 is looking wide n strong. Both are the same strain from same packet its interesting viewing them side by side each day they really have a unique personality.
Added some fish mix and activera no more root juice for now.
The living soil never got a web of life and i could not wait any longer for the transplant. I believe the issue was i did not use clonex or i did not wait long enough about a month or a bit longer. Even still it is at the very least a supersoil full of great nutrients they will enjoy it none the less!
I transplanted them from the solo cups to a 5 gallon mesh pot putting 1/3 super/living soil on the bottom and 2/3 krypto soil to finish it. In the hole i made for the roots i dumped some dynamyco at the bottom and put the plant right on top. I do feel like i need either an extra sf1000 or another version for more coverage as the pots are a bit big but we will see how it goes.
I plan to do some lst sometime soon to max the space that im using.
Things are moving along and despite the few issues the gals look great 👯♀️.
Comment or message me always nice to meet other growmies 👊🤜🤛🤝.

Hello growmies! Week 4 and 5 had to be combined.
Big week finally did some lst and defoliation. Tough to make the cuts but has to be done the trick is not to go overboard and end up with a Charlie Brown x-mas tree look🤣.
LST was started and looked a bit rough at the start but has really come along and is looking and feeling amazing. Controlling its growth and strengthing at the same time is a major plus.Pro tip when cutting leaves sanitize your trim blades for every plant to not spread mold or anything else(prevention easier than solving a problem).Im considering buying an extra light to help with coverage
👃Whats that i smell? Finally have a smell to these pretty ladies! A skunky fruity smell thats hard to describe. Just the right amounts of both first smell is skunk 2nd is fruit all in one whiff truly amazing havent smelt both smells in a plant before hope it transfers over to final product and taste. Truly exciting.
Going go flip em into flower in 1-3 weeks have not decided yet might come down to if i can get an extra light for the flower. Suggest you look for black Friday sales!!!
Really went with alota nutes on this week. I think it will be ok hasnt shown any signs of over feeding or reacting poorly to the supersoil which is a relief. Props to biobizz must be given. Dont forget to wipe or drain any excess run off prevent root rot/mold/control RF%.
Going to buy an extra fan now that they are more spread out. Gave the fan a much needed cleaning(do not overlook such a seemingly minor detail).
Really considering banana runtz for next grow been hearing nothing but good things from solfire genetics.
Hit me up with any tips, questions, comments or good vibes🤝. We could all use another growmie🙋♂️. From me and the ladies stay low and hazy!🕴️👯♀️
