@Organoman is correct When your plant is small like this, the process of removing leavs will not make it strong and only set it back in growth. its like a small chid at this point. The process of removing leaves for benifiting the plants in terms of better airflow between the branches and more light is called defoliation. Defoliation should only be used a compact bushy plants and healthy ones at that. Not all growers like the technique but it works for some.
