Low stress trained for a handful of days to help prime the new sites, then FIMed the upcoming 5th node. Seems new side branches are starting to form nicely and the main stalk has resumed growing her leaves.
Still liking how she's growing. Continuing to keep up with tying branches down and spreading them out so they have enough room for flowering. Pinching and bending down large fan leaves instead of cutting them. Starting next week I'm thinking about feeding her a very diluted mixture of the Fox Farms vegetative nutrients, maybe 1/8 strength to start since the FF Happy Frog is mildly feeing her now.
Started feeding with super diluted FF Grow Big in distilled h2o. Soil should buffer pH, but will check if adverse signs arise. Been tapering down the hours of light every day by 1 hour, she'll be getting 12 hrs in a few days
She'll be under 12 hours of light by the middle of the week. Gonna focus on assuring no light leaks during nighttime and honing in the nutrients
She's in 12/12 now, will probably prune lower growth that isn't reaching the light. Vegetative nutes have been light, but I see some slight curling from N. Might switch to bloom nutrients soon at a half dose of what the vegetative nutes were, to give less but still some N and more so P and K. FF tiger bloom and big bloom.
Nice to see preflowering signs. Took off branches that are low on the plant and won’t reach the canopy. She seems to be doing well. Near this point I usually see plants start showing signs of deficiencies or excess, so ill keep an eye out. Gonna try to edit photos too so the blurple isn't as strong
Still growing well, the stretch goofed up the relatively even canopy a bit but I think all the bud sites have at least a decent amount of light. Trimmed up bottom leaves and bud sites to stimulate top growth. She drinks about a half gallon every 3 days, feed every other watering. Fed a smidge of Tiger Bloom with the Big Bloom just to give her a bit of N even though her tips are slightly curled down; new growth have been growing normal leaves so I don't think she's dealing with a crazy amount of N. I'll refer to the FF Feed schedule too
Got hanging equipment so I more easily adjust lamp distance. Growth looks good so far I'll be keeping up with the nutes and slowly increase concentrations. This strain looks like it flowers for quite a while from other diaries so I'll give time for the lower cola sites to grow more. She's been drinking every 3 days, home for thanksgiving for 4 days so im expecting she'll be a little droopy when I see her next.
Looking much better after some water. Will refer to feeding schedule and leaves to see if my dosage needs upped. So far so good. Leaf tips very slightly burnt so ill probably slightly dilute the nutrient mix as well as check pH. She somehow surprises me every once in a while with a new branch that seemed to pop up overnight.
She seems to be healthy and happy. Starting to get harder to notice the day-by-day difference, but that’s what a 2-3 month flowering will do I suppose. Sugar leaves slightly burnt so my nutes are going to be more diluted. Lowered lights a bit to 13” to help out lower branches.
Watered and rotated her and I guess that caused a bunch of branches to get all funky; a lot of them are leaning over when they were fairly upright a few days ago. Hoped a good watering would stiffen them up but that doesn't seem to be the case. Too bad I dont have a larger tent, a net could've helped a lot.
Was plucking lower bud sites as they were starting to grow, accidentally made a small branch snap over like supercropping. It's been a few days and I dont see any signs of a knuckle starting to form, but hopefully it'll come with patience.
Main colas growing pretty dense, angled the fan directly onto the plant and lowered the setting to reduce mold chances
Fed her Monday morning with 1ml/gal FF Big Bloom after giving only water for the past 3 waterings, her tips are burnt but I figured she'd need just a bit of food. Some branches seem to be wonky from the bud size, others just have a hard time staying upright. Need to get some proper support for the branches asap
She's really flopping on me now. Might get stakes, might let her go and just get some for next time. I feel like she only has a few weeks left, stakes now probably wouldn't drastically improve the flower.
Makeshift branch supports via wire secured to the same pole the light’s connected to. Still flopping over but better than before. I’ve determined I won’t flush her and when she’s in her final week I’ll give her less hours of light and try to drop my day and nighttime temps. This week may or may not be the final.
Chopped on Dec 30th, will update the harvest page once I have it all trimmed and weighed
With this being a budget grow, I'm very happy with my results. I've learned a lot for next time. Heavy colas, I wasn’t prepared with stakes since I was without a tent, but not complaining about that. Plenty of bud sites on the branches and plenty of branches.
Did not weigh while wet, but after 5 days of drying I trimmed them and weighed then. Would’ve liked to hang for longer than I could right now, but will just keep jar lids off and on their sides and rotate daily for a few days before screwing on lids.
