hey there lunchbox, yes man, it's allowed... no but seriously though, i know what you mean, just be aware and plan ahead for things like a drying space, etc. in terms of light intensity, the main problem you'll have is actually the light distance from the top of the canopy all the way down to the seedlings. just plan for that too with some support for the stretchy seedlings or better yet use an upside down bucket to raise the new plant's pot that much higher for it.
