Glass of water for 18 hours then paper towel method. Moved to rapid rooters on Oct.15th at 10pm surrounded by clay pebbles in small cups until I prepare my baskets and cut the holes in my totes. Using bottom tray as cover to keep water temp low and reflect light up once they start to grow. Left hand root at 1/2" right one at 2". Will transplant into baskets in clay pebbles Monday once my setup is complete. First sprout on Oct. 17th AM. Temps got cold last night and my tent was at 65.7° this morning and stayed below 68° all day yesterday. Put a small space heater in my room to slowly bring my temps back up to around 75° in my tent during the day because the temps will be dropping all week with lows in the 40s and highs only in the low 60s for the next week. Added 1ml of Hydro guard by Botanicare on 10/18 to nutrient water with the 1ml of Rapid start by general hydroponics

You asked "this time"? What problems have you had? I soak my seeds for 24 hours and them plant them. I don't recommend hydro for anyone inexperienced with growing as it is more technical and simple mistakes can end up in sick or dead plants if your are inattentive.

Has anyone grown Candy Haze yet? I can't find it on the list at all. Its new by Crop Kings and its a cross between Skittles and Purple Haze. Their catalog doesn't even have it yet and the package didn't have info on it like most. How long should I veg? Then flower?

The common strategy is measure from the base of the plant to the highest you can put your light. Subtract the distance you need away from the light for flowering for led's its usually 12"( 30 cm ) Then divide that in half. You don't want to Veg your plant any taller then that. Its best to go a bit shorter just to make sure you will have room.Your strain is sativa dominate so it will be taller then usual. Since this is your first grow I would recommend veg for 3-4 weeks then flip to flower. Flowering time will be based on the strain yours is around 9 weeks. Get a jewelers loupe ( 60x magnification) or digital microscope to check the trichomes for the best estimate on when to harvest. If you have any other questions feel free to PM me. Happy Growing.

It depends on your system. High pressure aeroponic system( sprays a mist) watering cycles typically operate on a 15 sec ON and 3 – 5 minute OFF cycle. So start in the middle with 15 times per hour(4 min intervals) with 15 seconds This ensures the chamber maintains a high humidity level while preventing the fine mist from combining into larger droplets. Low pressure systems(sprays water streams or flows through a drip ring) use a 5 minute ON and 10-12 minute OFF cycle timer. so 6 times per hour and 300 seconds. Happy Growing

1. The first 2-3 weeks seeds have all the nutrients needed so you want to use 1/4 recommended dose of the root starter from instructions on the bottle and water(PH 5.8) and that has a very low EC/PPM which is Reverse osmosis(RO)/distilled/ Zero Water filter. Especially if your system is a spray system. you don't want to clog the nozzles with unwanted minerals in the water. Yes you would want to collect the runoff and re-circulate it. You could drain to waste but I consider it a waste of nutrients and water. 2. Answered in your other question. 3. When you start adding nutrients start with 0.3ml per L Grow, 0.2ml per L Micro and 0.3ml per L Bloom( mix micro first then any order) You want to start with a low EC/PPM and slowly raise it as your plant grows. If you don't have an EC/PPM meter get one. Its best if you go with EC as it is consistent where PPM has different scales. If you don't have a PH meter you will also want to get one. Make sure its for water and not soil.

Yes follow what it shows on amazon. When your seed starts if it gets really long and tall then lower the light. If the leaves start to turn white or are angled up in a V shape then its to close. The distance is an average, every strain is different and can handle different amounts of light. Its always a keep an eye on her. As she gets older if you notice twisted leaves on the new growth. or the serrated edges start curling up then its to close. Happy Growing

Is it true if you keep your roots small the plant will stay small? I have 2 small totes that hold 6 quarts each in a 18"×18"×48" tent. Each will have one plant. Size 14"×8"×5". Can't fit anything bigger in this small tent. Don't want to go bigger. No space. Is it ok?

Why so hateful? I want 2 small plants because of the size of my tent. If they grow too tall or bushy they wouldnt fit. My sq ft is small so small totes equal small plants. Right?

Got my tent setup completely. Put my babies into to their new homes. Getting used to watering schedules and keeping the humidity level up. pH and PPMs are looking good. Light at 21" for 18 hours a day. Added .5ml of CaliMagic on 10/22/21. 10/24/21 Both sprouts are looking good. The leaves doubled in size since yesterday and they are both adjusting nicely to their new homes. I'm going to have to replace the cardboard with foam board due to warping. Have only been watering for 15 seconds every 24 hours so the roots start growing into the reservoir. No roots out of the bottoms of the pots yet. 10/25/21 New growth is starting on both plants. Roots are starting to peak out of the bottom of the pots! Can't wait to see what this week brings. Plant 2 has slight discolorations on the leaves. I will keep a close watch. Reservoir change tomorrow and adding General Hydroponics Flora series nutes. Let the growing begin!

Week 2 Day 1. 10/26/21 Both plants are looking great. Just got calibration solution for my testers. Enjoying learning how to grow indoors. Day 2. 10/27/21 Both plants are still doing great. Watching #2 still due to slight discolorations on first leaves. Day 3 10/28/21 Both plants still look good but #2 now has discoloring on the tips of the leaves that looks brownish. Temp level in tank got to 73.1°. Added cool water to bring temps back down to 68°. pH was up slightly. Added pH down to correct back to 5.8 Day 4 10/29/21 Both plants were deficient in something so I did a full tank change with distilled water and flora series nutes with calimagic and hydro guard yesterday evening. Slight yellowing in middle of the leaves today. Added 6ml of nute water to top of net pots. Water temp keeps sliding up slowly. At 72° this morning. Added ice chips slowly to bring temp back down to 66°. May have to invest in a water chiller. Day 5 10/30/21 Water temp keeps climbing back to 72°. Adding ice chips as needed to keep temps around 66°-68°. Using syringe to add 6 to 9ml of water to clay pebbles around rapid rooter 2x a day. Roots are starting to drop towards the water. Day 6 10/31/21 Happy Halloween everyone! Both beauties are looking amazing. So much new growth in just 2 days. Invested in a few reusable ice cube sticks for the tank for now. Temps staying at 68° in the water. Air temp is 71°-77°. pH is 5.9 and PPMs are 190. 2 1/4" tall. Day 7 11/1/21 Final day of week 2 and they are both looking great. Water temps 66° pH 6.0 humidity 54% PPMs 167. Number 2 has new growth that is curling. Will be watching. Color is back and looking healthy. I hope she recovers nicely. Number 1 is growing fast and strong. 1 3/4" tall

Week 3 Day 1. 11/2/21 (Day 16 total) Both plants are growing nicely. #2 is deformed but still growing really well. Must be the genetics because the other is thriving well. pH is 6.0, PPMs are 152, humidity is at 50%. Power is out for 2 to 3 hours so the temp is down to 66.2 in the tent and the water temps are 69. Luck for a smaller tent. I slid it to my window for light haha. I hope its enough so it doesnt shock the babies too much. Day 17 Did a full tank change with 3ml each of the flora series, 2ml Calimagic, 2ml hydroguard and 1ml Rapid Start. Let the massive growing begin. pH at 5.8, PPMs at 935, humidity at 52%, water temp 68.4, air temp day temp at 71.2°. It is 40° outside so indoor temps are lower than usual. Veg and Bloom lights both on now. Day 18 Lights at full strength 18" from canopy. Both plants are growing wonderfully now. pH 5.8, PPMs 771, water temp 67°, air temp 71.2°, humidity is down slightly at 46%. Bottom feeding only now. Roots have hit the water and they look very healthy! PM update. Both are getting taller and more leaves sprouting! Day 19 11/5/21 Everything is perfect except I just smashed the runt (#2) with my phone taking pictures. OMG I cant believe it. I hope it survives. Time will tell I guess. pH was at 6.2 adjusted to 5.8, water temp is 67.4°, air temp 69.6°, PPMs 756. Humidity at 56%. Day 20 11/6/21 The runt bounced back up! Its a little crooked and not as tall but I think it will do fine. #1 is growing big fast. Air temp is chilly still at 68.4° got to 66.2° at night. Water temp is at 67.1°. Humidity is at 46%. pH is at 5.8 and PPMs are 831 which is higher than the last 2 days. Temps outside are staying very chilly highs 40s and lows in the 20s. The house and tent warm up in the afternoon into the 70s but its been staying low until after 2pm each day. May change my timer to have the light off in the evening to account for the chilly nights with the lights off. Day 21 Day 6 of Week 3 Both of the plants look good today. Air temp 75.2 Humidity at 50% pH 6.0 adjusted to 5.8 water temp up a little at 71° Day 22 Final day of week 3 Almost time to start my training! Air temp 75.2° water temp 68.4° Humidity 57% pH 6.0 PPMs 711. New humidifier and exhaust will be here next week with smart controls. Really enjoying watching and learning about hydroponic growing in a micro tent.

Week 4 Day 1 11/9/21 Temps outside warmed up today. Tent temp 79.9 Water temp 72.1 adjusted back to 66° Humidity 45% pH 6.0 PPMs 711. Removed humidifier and humidity holding at 45 now. Added some of my rock collection, just because! Day 2 11/10/21 Water change day. Temp 79.4 water temp 69.8 humidity 41% with no humidifier. pH 5.7 and PPMs at 650, EC 1.3. The runt has a few spots on it. Gotta keep an eye on it. They both have everything exactly the same. Day 3 11/11/21 Temp 78° Water temp 70° Humidity 45° pH 6.1 adjusted to 5.8 PPMs 642 EC 1.27 Both growing nicely. Small leaves starting off each fan leaf. Day 4 11/12/21 Temp 79.2° Water temp at 71° adjusted to 67° pH 5.9 PPMs 635 EC 1.2 First day of LST for Candy Haze #1. Waiting for runt to get a little taller to begin supercropping her. Got my new AC Infinity AirTitan T3 exhaust fan set up with 6 inch carbon filters in the intakes. Still using hanging fan for circulation. It even has the thermostat and humidistat controller! Set at max temp 68°-80° and to keep humidity between 40%-50%. Alarm set for if the humidity drops below 30% so I can turn on my mini humidifier. The big one was too much for the small space. Day 5 11/13/21 Im going to have to start checking pH and EC/PPMs and writing them down for each tank. There are starting to differ. Air temp were 79.4° today at the highest and down to 69° during lights off period. Humidity is holding between 45 and 55%. Water temps 68°. pH Candy Haze #1 6.0 EC 1.3 PPMs 721 Candy Haze #2 pH 6.4 adjusted to 5.8 EC 1.2 PPMs 653. Day 6 11/14/21 Starting today I will have separate numbers for the tanks. Lst looks good on #1. Going to begin training #2 once it hits 6". Air temp is 72° Humidity is at 47% for my AM check. Water temps in both tank are at 69.4° Tank #1 with Candy Haze #1 has a pH of 6.1 and EC of 1.48 PPMs are 743. Tank #2 with Candy Haze #2 has a pH of 6.1 and EC of 1.44 PPMs are 722. 11/15/21 Final day of week 4! #1- pH 6.2 adjusted to 5.8 PPMs 690 EC 1.38 Water temp 68.4° Air temp 71.2° Humidity 44% #2- pH 6.2 adjusted to 5.8 PPMs 722 EC 1.44 The runt is looking really well now. Its new leaf growth is surpassing the big one. Both have small chunks missing on the leaves. Best guess the fan got the big one and me dropping the phone on the runt didn't help.

Week 5 Day 1 Growth is picking up fast with the new ventilation with humidistat and thermostat control. My fan decided to eat part of my leaf so I am working on covering the back of the fan with something like a nylon panty hose. Water change tomorrow morning due to forgetting distilled water. Air temp: 77.2° Humidity 47% Plant 1- pH 6.0 EC 1.72 PPMs 883 Plant 2- pH 6.0 EC 1.64 PPMs 820 Day 2 11/17/21 Water change day. Had something strange happen. Made my water for both tanks and after I drained and filled the tanks, the front tank said the EC was at 3.1 and PPMs at 1513 and the back tank said 1.4 and 698. I decided to do a complete water change again on the front one and double checked the fresh nute water before adding. It was the same as the back tank at 1.4 and 698. Gonna monitor twice daily for a few days and watch the roots. Air temp got to 85° today and the water temp climbed to 74° so I added ice chips until it returned to 67°. Humidity is at 51%. Day 3 11/18/21 Temps stayed around 80° today. New fan is amazing. I set it for between 68° and 80° so it will stay in the ideal range. Humidity is set at 45%. Varies up and down between 40-50ish. Water temps got to 72° today and adjusted back to 67°. Plant 1 still has different EC than the other. Watching it closely checking twice a day. #1 pH 6.0 EC 1.58 PPMs 792 #2 pH 5.9 EC 1.33 PPMs 665 Day 4 #1 pH 6.1 EC 1.65 PPMs 820 #2 pH 6.0 EC 1.35 PPMs 700 Temp 69°Low 81° High Humidity 37%-51% Water temps 69.8 Day 5 Hoping that I the front plant recovers from suspected fungus in stem and top roots. Roots out of pot still white. Back plant growing better than front now. Was calling the back one my runt but it is looking healthier than the other now. New growth on front one has holes and is discolored in places. May be due to overfeeding CaliMagic last week. I read the bottle it said 5ml per gallon but for cannabis it is 1.9ml so I corrected it this week. #1 pH 6.3 adjusted to 5.8 EC 1.7 PPMs 850 #2 pH 6.3 adjusted to 5.8 EC 1.38 PPMs 722 Air temp 69°Low 83°High Water temp 68.9 Humidity 41%-51% Days 6 and 7 I just monitored the ppms and pH. They stayed around the same only increasing slightly to 902 front and 763 back by water change day. The pH stayed around 6.1 I only adjusted when it went above 6.3

Week 6 Day 1 Both plants are looking great. Tied down front one further up the stalk. Checked ppms and they were still rising slightly. Day 2 ppms still climbing a few each day. Both growing fast now. No new leaf damage so it most have happened during lst. Day 3 Water change day. Added 5ml hydrogen perioxide diluted 50/50 before changing the water to hopefully fix the fluctuating ppms. Temp 77° Humidity 40° Water temp 70° ppms 645 EC 1.37 Both plants are looking awesome. Day 4 was crazy. Looked in and checked ppms for fluctuations. Seems to be getting better. Day 5 Air temp 77° Humidity 40% Water temps are 69 front and 69.4 back tank. EC 1.41 front 1.21 back. PPMs 790 front 580 back. pH 5.6 front 5.9 back. Well I guess the front one is going to give me issues the whole time. Day 6 Air temp 77° Humidity 40% Water temp 70° Front 5.8 pH, EC 2.5 PPMs 790. Back 6.0 EC 1.05 PPMs 528. Definitely still having problems with the front one but she looks ok. I checked out the roots and they are basically white with a very light pink hue. The leaves look healthy besides the random bruised spots from lst. Back one looks really good and is doing great. Im not giving up on the front one. She will still do ok, I hope. Did some light defoliation today because the big fan leaves were being smashed against the walls. Only removed the ones that were too big for the tent walls. Got lost on days. Been a stressful week and a half. Starting flower Sunday 12/5/21. They are both doing wonderful now. PPMs on front are still higher at 702 and back is at 452 which means they are both drinking up all the nutes!

Im pretty sure that I went an extra week of veg without pics. Caring for my grandmother who is ill. Staying with LST on the one in front. Removed a few more large fan leaves that were being smashed on the walls. I did supercropping on the runt in the back on Sunday. It was at 10" now its at around 6 or 7 inches so I lowered my lights back down a few inches. Water change tomorrow and flowering nutes. With the new ventilation setup the temps and humidity are staying perfect. Water temps are even staying below 70°. They drank a lot this week so I will need to start checking water levels twice a week. Week 1 Flower 12/8/21- Water change and light flip day! Still having higher than usual ppm readings for the front plant. They are high at 1300 and 2.6 EC pH 6.0. Back plant is doing great ppms at 698 and 1.4 EC pH 6.0. Did LST on the front one and supercropped the back one. Been removing only huge fans leaves and tiny branches that weren't taking off. That way the big branches get more love and care. Almost at the net now. Learning a lot about indoor growing and the difference in time it takes for auto versus feminized seeds. Next few grows will be autos for the short cycle. Less yield but quicker results to begin a small stash before going for a long grow again.

With Christmas I was so busy I didnt write down anything. I just checked my numbers each day to make sure they were in range. What I was calling the runt is now double the size of the other. The runt is beautiful. No issues with pH fluctuating or EC going high. The front right plant is looking ok. She had very high PPMs for a few weeks and I can tell that it definitley had some issues with the stem turning pink. It stunted the growth pretty extreme compared to the runt. It only has a few good strong looking stems with flowering, while the other plant has multiple strong beautiful stems with lots of flowering. So glad I didnt toss the runt. I guess that shows that its not always about the imperfections. I even smashed it with my camera and its the strongest of the 2 now.

Well they survived a house fire and being moved. We almost lost our lives. They went 28 hours without light and no bubbler or fans. They lost a few fans leaves and have a pinkish hue on the bud sites but they are still kicking. I did a water change and nutes. Hopefully they keep growing. Water temp was down 57°. pH is between 5.5 and 6.0 My digital was damaged. Had to use drops and do it old school. PPM reader is gone too. Only a few more weeks to go. We can survive this. All these issues and they keep going. 1/21/22 Last day of this week. I have new pH and ppm readers on the way. Water change tomorrow. They are still looking good. The very tip of some fan leaves have burnt tips and curling up but only slightly. I hope the buds fatten up over the last 3 weeks of flowering.

Still going strong! Only a few more weeks to go! Both plants are staying in the perfect range. One fan died. Got a replacement. Hopefully the move today wont kill them. Its 30°F but sunny. I will go fast. This will be the new home of a few short grows.

This was a great week. They both look amazing. The purple colors are coming out nice. I'm very excited to dry and cure them. Plant 1 aka the runt is now the biggest with lots of nice fat buds. Plant 2 aka the big one (haha) only has a few stems with nice buds. They both are back to normal ranges for pH and PPMs. Broke down and got a new tester since the other got destroyed in the fire. I cant believe these things are so durable. 2 moves, stem rot, house fire and I dropped my phone on plant 1 and smashed it at the start, and they look beautiful even with all its funky defects. 13 days to go.

Week 19. Harvest

Happy Harvest Day!

Had a little stem root at the beginning because I had my drip feed on too often. Cleared it up with alcohol pads for the stem, hydrogen perioxide and hydro guard. Besides that I believe my light was too weak to produce mass buds.

Only had .46 ounces on the scale once dried, but OMG this is some stout stuff. It has a fruity and earthy taste. Very smooth and don't need much. It has an uplifting buzz that makes you want to dance around the house while doing housework.

I saw your grow question. They are close but a lot of knowing when to chop is knowing what you are growing for. If it's not a high CBD strain you grow until some fan leaves are cannibalizing if you just want it for thc and recreation. In that case just go by the plants appearance.. yellow fan leaves, stops making fuzzies, color changes to buds forget the trichomes. If it's a high CBD strain and you want medical benefits then wait for amber trichomes, if you don't want to crash everytime you fire up then don't wait as soon as you see amber chop chop. That's just my personal thing not backed up by anything. Calendars are meaningless except for a window of 20 days or so. I usually have a hard time reading trichomes and don't grow high CBD so I just look at the plant like it's old school outside. I do know that trichomes look different under LED's. Hope that helped.

@Loserofthemonth, thank you. Im new to all this. Ive seen it done for years, family thing... But I never cared enough to pay attention but after my father passed I decided to try. I flooded my first seedlings in an Aerogarden. Definitely can tell a big difference between outdoor and indoor. These LEDs are all different and confusing. Each brand has different settings and heights and all that. With all these went through Ive learned a lot about keeping them healthy.
