Added 16 in hurricane fans and dehumidifier to reduce humidity to 50-60%

Addressed underfeeding issue by upping the feed EC to 2.2 for 2-3days. Runoff EC red at 0.9-1 EC on day one.
After 2-3 days of feeding @ 2-2.2 EC, run off EC was fixed. Now feeding at Athena's prescribed Heavy feeding schedule.
Dankemshunter on IG grows amazing product with Athena's pro line, so I will be switching over from blended.
Increased the watering volume from 1x 200ml/day to 3x 125-200/day.
Bad idea, the rock wool was still soaked from previous feed, and the increased water volume led to algae growth and fungus gnats.
Algae growth across most of the rock wool from over watering.
I noticed black algae forming across some of the smaller clones. Turns out its waste from fungus gnat larvae after eating algae.
Treating the issue with Athena's IPM spray and MicrobeLift BMC. Add 4 drops of BMC per gallon of water with my nutrients. Someone of on rollitup recommended covering the rock wool with black weed barrier and holding it in place with tooth picks. The hole in the weed barrier will need to sealed with either zip ties or tape to prevent adult fungus gnats from laying more eggs. Will be applying yellow sticky traps to catch some of the adult gnats. Still need to dial in a feed schedule and an auto feed system. Chronic Chat's pico ring set up looks the easiest and least expensive option. Any advice or resources for setting up a top drip auto feed system is appreciated!
Easiest automatic top feed system? Currently looking at ChronChat's Pico ring setup. I'm tired of hand watering r 5 weeks into my first grow. Any resources or advice is appreciated.
hi there Carl, you have the right idea with the top watering. Imagine putting everything on autopilot how much more you can handle, amirite? anyways usually you end up building it yourself with a few pumps , tubing and hand made rings. I dont know the chronchat system, but i've tried both bottom feeding and top feeding and i know top feeding works better, especially for things like soiless medium. so you're on the right track. hope this helps ! 🚀
